  1. Yes that is one justification mindset which leads to ranked exclusivity and toxicity. Remember the two common rationalization mechanisms employed by abusers are justification and power. In anything other than SWTOR, Ever been to a tournament or played standard? Tournaments are partially an art form of their own (edit: and have their own idiosyncrasies). To get good at a tournament, you have to go do the tournament. To get good at simulating and training for that tournament, you have to go do that tournament. In SWTOR, the whole "go do that tournament" part is punished. This is what comically led to that near-dead game mode. Ranked pvp lacked any functional pathway to incorporate new participants. As a result, ranked pvp is being retired.

  4. There are videos and threads on ranked pvp toxicity. At least if you're undergeared or trying out a game mode for the first time, people will play with you in BGs. If you're not meta with set bonuses, mods, tactical, and the right class/spec, then you're getting disbanded and ignored: prepare for that 1v4 or 2v4. As for people getting egotistical, I've met some SWTOR players irl. Sometimes they uphold the stereotype. For some people, this is the light that keeps them going in a squalid life. For Example, MMOByte describes growing up poor, working jobs as a kid, doubling as a parent as a kid, and playing MMOs as that one form of escapism. If someone is being an @sshat, don't give them satisfaction and limit interaction. Then just forgive and move on. SWTOR has always had crap pvp. Swtor has crap balancing too. How are your DPS specialists going to do less damage than a hybrid healer?! If you want pvp, go boot up COD, battlefield, LoL, Smite, or HoN. Swtor is not worthwhile pvp. In my arrogant opinion, ranked pvp can go rot in a Nal Hutta manure pit next to a fresh mound of Evocii.
  5. IIRC on Gunnery's move list, it's only propulsion round that requires an Assault Cannon. You already can use Blaster Rifles with Commando, It's just not explicitly stated.

  10. I'm voting with my dollars: Already Un-subscribed. Looked at Operative's and Assassin's combat styles, cringed, and thought, " they can't expect me to play this!?" Slowly reached for that quit game button. nothing slowed me down. edit: EAware only listens to $$$, so why not "talk" in way that they'll listen?
  11. Funny. My favorite ability was the "quit game" button. I looked up and down the Operative's abilities, cringed, and thought," they can't expect me to play this!?" I just got done remaking Wing Zero Custom's Angelic Wings in that M.A.S.S. Builder. May go back later to figure out how JamaL creates his custom legs. edit: also Elden Ring drops in 6 days, and I got quals to study for so... toodles.

  14. Request more Tree Plots for Strongholds. Request rotation of decorations into and out of the game. (Eyeing that Manaan Corner Desk, Planter: Voss Shrub, and floating crystal shards) Request Kitchen, foodie, and workout equipment decorations for Strongholds.
  15. I prefer cunning and wise characters. Kill the useless prisoner? Nah, well just prisoner exchange him for some spec ops troops. Hostile boarding action by Slavers? Why waste free people? "Employ" them like a boss, and give them a cut, for loyalty's sake. Darth Lacharis needs an agent to storm and slice the Balmorran arms factory? Negotiate a booty call. Better yet, negotiate a political denouncing from their pub war hero. A little bit of fair treatment for greater ripple effects? Sign me up! Logical sith is my favorite.
  16. Game could use mini-games: Pazaak, Dejarik, or Go. Give players another reason to sit around Cantinas that are strewn around the galaxy. You could even have a spectate feature, so there'd even be crowds.
  17. my wish: Abilities and perks that make more of a difference than "3% more damage on enemies less than or equal to 30% health." or "when using mass mind control, everyone gets 5% dmg rdxn for 6 sec and heals 3,000 hp." Give us perks that are substantial enough to affect gameplay, that way, as players, we have a choice that isn't "the only useful one" or "the only perk that isn't a trap".

  21. 1.) SWTOR PvP is a horrible WoW-Clone. 2.) Stop leaving the group. No one can support you if you're more than 30m away.
  22. On parsely.io for Malgus server, Combat / Carnage doesn't even make the Leaderboard. To me, PvP in SWTOR feels more like a mini-game, so my opinion will be unpopular. The focus for Carnage / Combat sentinel should be to bring It's damage to be on par with Sniper. To reward Damage Specialization, Sentinel and Sniper should overall out-DPS the hybrid classes in a boss or dummy Scenario, excluding Sabotuer / Engineering due to trading Damage for AoE (in theory). Combat / Carnage feels like an old BlackBerry facing off against an I-phone. Why seriously consider Combat / Carnage when I can pick a Stealth class that heals, has lower CD CC, more DCDs, Stealth CC, also has raid Buff, puts down better DPS, has a Dot, and can resurrect teammates in combat? How does Combat / Carnage reward players for their investment? The only thing saving Combat / Carnage is the low difficulty bar for content completion. Otherwise, the few connoisseurs who do enjoy the spec would just drop it or swap games entirely.
  23. As a player, I mainly stick to Story, PVE, Strongholds, Space Missions / Starfighter, and playing the market. I generally love this game. However, Leveling a Combat Sentinel, even during 2x exp event, felt horrid. It felt Maple Story Early 2nd Job levels of horrid. It felt like an abused child forced to live under the stairs. It feels like I'm playing the Discipline of BioWare's Contempt. It felt so bad that I, the customer, had to stop playing YOUR game, come here, research ability names, and write this as some hail Mary attempt to be heard in a void. Cons: - Discipline Rotation does not smooth out until lv 60: This is far worse than Pyrotech's / Plasmatech's lv 44 power spike (Railshot / HIB auto-crit). Due to the Zen / Berserk Perk swap, Combat / Carnage goes thru cycles Focus / Rage starvation until Lv 60 Dual Saber Throw 2 Focus / Rage Generation Upgrade. For 30-ish levels, The only spec to spam Saber Strike.... every rotation! SWAP those perks! The mid-level burst cycle is resource hungry enough as it is, being the only mofo slathering "saber strike" feels gimped. - Underperforming Burst Cycle: To keep this short, there are Hybrid Classes that DPS better than the "Precision / Massacre Cycle" using their regular, individual, global cooldown skills. Precision / Opportune Strike Buffed Clashing Blast hits weaker than: Lacerate, Buffed Force Scream, Hew, Buffed Force Rage, Reaping Strike, Turbulence, RailShot, Heatseeker Missiles, PowerLode Cell Burst. By the numbers, It's better to bring a Hybrid Class since they can DPS as well as Combat / Carnage but also DPS / Guard / Off-tank, Stealth / Heal / CC / DPS / Res, Stealth / Off-tank / CC / DPS, or Heal / DPS / Res. Even on Parsely,io 6.5mil dummy, Combat / Carnage is 2 to 4 sec from any leaderboard representation. I get it. Everquest cloned MMOs have a damage bias. No need for weird escalation. In my honest opinion, This class just needs a nudge to be inline with the rest of the band: Buff Damage of Clashing Blast / Devastating Blast, Lance / Gore, and Ataru Form. If you want to throw the PvP'ers a bone, Swap Ataru to Force Damage. - Animations: OK. I'm gonna be honest, It's bad. It's just bad. The animations... they're FLAT. No Spectacle. No Value. No references. For an Ataru Master, There is a sparse amount of jumps / acrobatics in it's animations. Honestly Carnage / Combat looks like the Youngling Consular who could barely master Shi-Cho and Makashi before hitting Acolyte / Padawan. To be blunt, Blade Rush / Massacre's flailing animation looks like the desperation move of a Swordmaster who's only ever handled pool noodles. For professionals handling a fantasy genre, this mess needs to be cleaned up, especially considering how many customers attempt to enjoy the Sentinel / Marauder Class. Cultural Examples of Better Ataru Include: SWTOR Examples of Better Ataru Include: Juggernaut's Vengeance Spec does more Attaru with Impale, Shatter, and Ravage, feeling more like a Globetrotter or LoL's Darius Dunking on enemies. Annihilaiton / Watchman doing more Ataru with every Rupture / Cauterize flip. Fury / Concentration does more Ataru with Obliterate / Zealous Leap. PowerTech closes in on Ataru with Rocket Punch / Flaming Fist (Shoryuuken!). Hell. The Mercenary mastered more Ataru with Rocket Out & Death From Above. Sorry Bioware. Pool Noodle Swordsmanship and Lens Flares does not equal Ataru. You screwed the Pooch on this one. The fix is actually easy: Upgrade the animation of Blade Rush / Rupture. Make it look like Nioh's Jin Hayabusa's Full Moon Slash or Dragon Dogma's Skull Splitter Skill. Honestly, I can understand not wanting to reanimate again (like from 4.0), but at least swap the flavor text around. Make Watchman / Annihilation the Ataru Master, and state that Combat uses Shien or Shi-Cho. Pros: - The Late Game Rotation: Opinion: Building Focus / Rage to overturn a Cargo hold of Whoop-*** is exciting and satisfying. Planning and tension go into combining Leaps, Zealous Strike / Battering Assault , Dual Saber Throw to build 10 - 12 Focus Rage. Precision has an absurdly low Cooldown. Then the PC just pushes two Off-Global buffs and maybe one trinket to start a V-ism combo of absurd damage that'd make Cin Drallig yeet expletives. With Ataru's extra attacks chiming in, Blade Blitz / Mad Dash, Rebuke / Cloak of Pain, Combat / Carnage feels like a heavy-handed skirmisher earning their nom-de-guerre one ruinated dissident at a time.
