  1. My Chiss Operative: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/855/shelbi4.jpg/ http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/337/shelbi3.jpg/ http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/546/shelbi2.jpg/ http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/163/shelbi1.jpg/ I've had the same look for quite some time, but it works.
  2. In other words, the completely inaccurate conditions upon which Bioware is basing their current nerfs.
  3. Once again, my PvE game gets nerfed due to whiny little PvP babies (not all, but you know who you are). Thanks a lot. It's not like I ALREADY had a hard time killing some elites due to my squishiness, now my decent opening burst is being nerfed as well. What the hell use is a 1.5 second stun opener from stealth? WHAT GOOD IS THAT?!? THE GCD IS 1.5s! I can't even use another ability until AFTER they've gotten up! USE LOGIC YOU MORONS!! Again, thanks. My fellow operatives and I appreciate it, really.
  4. Playing the game and having fun. Level 48 Operative. Sure the game has problems, but I'm patient enough to wait for fixes, which Bioware seems to be providing at a fair rate. I'm currently content to chalk up their missteps to growing pains. I'll be playing for a while yet, as I'm sure many fine people here will be.
  5. The people leaving were never going to stay in the first place. They're the whiners and complainers, the people who jump from new game to new game, building up unrealistic expectations in their heads, then b*tching up a storm when they're not met. They'll move on to GW2, TSW, Tera, etc. and do the exact same thing. Also, bear in mind that according to the forums of 'the game that is not to be named', it's a miserable failure that's going to go out of business any day now. Oh, and to those who are leaving without being an *** about it: Thank you. Thank you for demonstrating a good level of maturity, and giving constructive feedback to help this game fix its flaws. I hope in a few months you'll consider coming back
  6. Only thing I'm disappointed in is that the speed of the mount doesn't scale with your level of speeder piloting skill. Seems like that would've been a fairly easy thing to implement, especially considering that other games with 'exclusive' mounts do this. Other than that, I'm fine with it.
  7. Was just thinking, timeline wise we're only a few years (or less) away from when the events in Red Harvest are supposed to occur. Kinda wish they'd waited for that instead of using rakghouls. Oh well, maybe for a Halloween event or something
  8. As an Operative, I would also stab somebody in the face for an orange vibroknife. Make it happen, Bioware! *waves knife around threateningly*
  9. People who want damage meters are the same idiots who stand in the fire and expect the healer to keep them alive 'because I'd lose my top DPS spot!', and then whine incessantly at the tank and/or healer when they die. Or, they refuse to drop a few spot heals here and there when an extra mob or two gets aggro'd, because once again, they don't want to lose their e-peen bragging rights. Pre-WoW MMOs had MUCH harder raid content than modern games, and yet people cleared it all the time without damage/threat meters. They actually learned by practicing, and discussing things, not just punching raw numbers into a calculator. Go figure, huh? Amazes me to no end how the people who are demanding crutches think they're better than the 'baddies' who can manage just fine without them.
  10. People like you need to get the hell out of SWTOR. It's your kind of arrogant, elitist min-maxing attitude that ruins MMO communities. Go back to whatever MMO you crawled out of, or adjust your attitude accordingly. I think there's a lot of former WoW players here who saw what damage meters, gearscore, etc. did to WoW who do not wish that to repeat itself. I know I sure as heck don't.
  11. I love this game, but... I'm seriously considering unsubbing over this. Not so much because of the lack of hi-rez textures, but because of the way this whole situation is being handled. We had hi-rez textures in CB, but they were taken away for OB, as they were 'bugged' and would be 'returning shortly'. Now we are told that we'll never get them, because we can't be trusted to choose the settings our PCs can handle, apparently. It's BS, and furthermore, many people with high end PCs are STILL having problems running the game, even with the low-rez textures! I'll even chime in and say that, for the level of detail I'm seeing, my poor old 5770 GPU should be running this game much better than it does. Don't presume to tell us what our PCs can and cannot handle. That's for us, the USERS, to decide, not you. Oh, and please quit advertising the game with screenshots that are obviously taken using textures which are only used in cutscenes, as that is definitely false advertising (unless a disclaimer is added to them, of course).
  12. 46 Operative here, just got started on Voss. I have a couple of alts, but they're all below level 10.
  13. If you have the money, sure, switch to Intel. But the difference between them and AMD really isn't as great as some people would have you believe. Plus, I find AMD to be a much better value for the money, as with Intel you're paying an extra $75-$150 for what only amounts to a slight performance gain in the long run. First things first, I'd say upgrade to 8GB of the fastest RAM your mobo can handle. After that, see how things run and plan your upgrades accordingly. Oh, and if your computer was a premade system that came with its own copy of Windows, you may have to buy a new copy of that as well if you switch out mobos, depending on if it's an OEM copy or not. That's something else to consider.
  14. OP is a dirty, dirty ROBOSEXUAL!!! Just kidding, but I do think that would raise some, uhhh, issues lol.
  15. Lacerate, so far. I get Hidden Strike next level, so I'm not sure about that one.
  16. I've noticed it too. It's not really a huge issue for me though, I've pretty much gotten used to it. Plus I played LOTRO for a couple of years, which has a very similar 'delay' when performing many actions. Many 'old school' MMOs have it as well, such as Everquest. I would like to see it lessened somewhat though. Old school feel is kinda nice sometimes, but this is a late current-gen MMO, and it should play as such.
  17. In four easy steps, you too can make thousands! Step 1: Kill mobs Step 2: Take their loot Step 3: Sell said loot Step 4: PROFIT!! Or you could just do quests. I've barely put anything on the market for sale, and I've been doing just fine insofar as money is concerned. I send my companions on missions constantly (underworld trading) and just play the game as normal, and I've never had a problem. Even bought the first two inventory expansions. Quests pay pretty well, IMO. Granted, I'm not rich, but I get by just fine.
  18. A LFG tool would be fine, so long as it were intra-server only. Or at the most, a 'cluster' of perhaps 3 servers of the same type. Any more than that would be detrimental to community growth, IMO. Oh, and each 'cluster' should have its own forum as well. As for customizable UI, I'd have to say no. Reason being that such a feature would pave the way for stupid, elitist crap like DPS meters, gearscore, etc. I'll tell you right now if any of that garbage makes it into the game, I'm gone. Although if you simply mean being able to move quickbars around and stuff, then that's fine I suppose. The rest, such as respecs (as long as you can't change advanced class) and combat logs I don't really care about either way. Both are nice features, but aren't really necessary.
  19. This game is not hard at all. Sure, some of the fights are challenging (I'm an Operative), but most of the times I've died are because I didn't use all the tools available to me. Well, and a couple of times where I got caught by respawns, but that's a problem with just about every MMO ever made.
  20. Yeah, something needs to be done about the queues. I've never had one over 10 minutes, but even that is ridiculous. I thought the whole purpose of having different planet 'instances' was to avoid things like queues and overcrowding? I'm patient now, but if I'm still waiting in line come time to start paying a sub, well... I'll probably still pay the sub. But I'll whine and moan about it the whole time!!
