  1. You people simply won't be satisfied until Bioware just gives you a giant 'I WIN' button to click, will you? Sad thing is even if they did that, you'd probably whine about having to click it. Welcome to the entitlement generation folks. They're the reason MMOs are so dumbed down these days.
  2. My Inquisitor's class quest has disappeared. I was 'parked' on Alderaan when KOTFE was released, and have been focusing on my BH. Decided to level my Sorcie for a change of pace, and discovered that her class quest is no longer in her log. The planet arc quest is there, but the class quest is gone. There isn't even a heading for it. I don't remember exactly what stage, but it was just before or after getting access to the artifact you need. Needless to say, I can't progress with her now. I guess I could just powerlevel in dungeons until Ilum opens up, but I'd really rather not skip content like that.
  3. Same problem here. Even sold the one I had, then purchased a new one to see if maybe it was that particular item which was bugged. Nope! Every character I have is bugged by this 'expansion'. What a mess.
  4. Hey folks. Came back for the new update after about a year, been playing my BH since the update hit. Decided to start leveling my Sorc gain, logged in, and the class quest is gone. I was on Alderaan, and I still have the planet story arc quests, but my class quest has completely vanished. Needless to say, this is kind of serious, as I can't progress the story. Oh sure, I can always grind up to 50 or so and start on Ilum or Makeb (that is an assumption though, based on my BH's experience), but I'd really rather do it linearly so I don't have anything spoiled. Anyone else having this problem? I've got a ticket open for that and a few other issues, but EA has not deigned to answer it as of yet. Going to post this in the bug forum as well. Sigh...
  5. You realize of course that Bioware/EA have nothing to do with Galaxies, right? Also, Galaxies was a steaming pile of bantha fodder. Even at the END of its life, it had far more bugs and half-finished content than this game does at the beginning. Bah, forget it. Trying to reason with a disgruntled SWG vet is like trying to teach algebra to a goldfish, only less likely to succeed...
  6. Well, someone's gotta pay for all that 'free' healthcare...
  7. I'll just leave this right here... http://mrlizard.com/rants/why-havent-they-fixed-this-bug/
  8. Gotta reset the quest, that's all. What I did was keep running around while firing at that first droid, using concussion charge when the CD was up. Seems like once that initial droid dies without self destructing, they stop spawning. That, or I just outlasted them, not sure which.
  9. Yeah, and when they DID release it before the free month was up, those same people whined that it was rushed and didn't fix anything. You can't have it both ways, people.
  10. +1 to Legacy name change. I'd even be willing to lose all my legacy XP for it, or even hand Bioware $5 or something for the privilege. The one I wanted was taken, and the dang screen kept popping up after every time I zoned, so I hastily put one in without taking time to think about a replacement one properly. It's not horrible, but I really don't care for it. I almost deleted all the characters on my server to reset it, but luckily I've been told that doesn't work.
  11. QFT. Cross-server tools completely destroyed whatever community WoW had left at the time. It encouraged people to act like douchebags, because there was no way for them to obtain a 'bad rep' on any particular server. Not to mention that making friends through groups became nigh-impossible, due to the fact that they'd simply vanish back to their own server once the instance was over, never to be seen again. I will admit though that WoW's community was/is far more toxic than the one I've seen so far in SWTOR, so maybe if this is implemented, it will work out better here. I hope so.
  12. I have this one stuck in my log as well. I /bugged it, but the CSR just closed the ticket and told me to 'watch the patch notes'. I don't see why they can't just remove it. "Sorry, you're just SOL!" Thanks a lot, buddy.
  13. Haven't encountered this problem at all. Which mobs are using stuns on you? I've encountered precious few which use them, and they're usually only for a few seconds each. I will say that once I got to Tatooine Elara's healing seemed to take a dive, so much so that I've started using Forex instead for most situations. Her heals just don't seem to scale well with the amount of damage you take, and I'm about 5 levels over what I'm fighting! I'm not saying she should be able to keep me healthy while I'm getting attacked by multiple elites or anything, but she should do just fine with a single elite 5 levels lower than me. She struggles even with that though. Anyway, I'd also recommend not hybridizing at such a low level, as you're pretty much gimping yourself. As stated by others, at least take gunnery up to grav shot.
  14. Hell to the no! Jennifer Hale's voice alone is reason to pick a trooper over a BH (if playing a female, anyway). Not to mention the sheer awesomeness of wielding a giant assault cannon. Now if only I could find some armor that doesn't make me look like a friggin' clown...
  15. I never needed a threat meter as either a DPS or a tank, and I did just fine. Learn your class, learn other classes, and pay attention to the fight. Also, pulling threat in this game isn't as big a deal as it is in most others. Many healers/DPS have decent defensive abilities, and generally aren't going to be two-shotted by the boss. Again, learn to play, and don't depend on crutches. Threads like this make me realize just how much addons have dumbed down the average MMO player.
  16. Game is pretty good, although I'm VERY pissed off about the recent nerf to my IA. Luckily, I'm having a blast playing my Trooper now. Oh, and I don't PVP. My anger relates strictly to how its affected my PVE gameplay. Hopefully as time goes on, Bioware will learn how to balance things out properly, and get all the bugs squashed, and features added.
  17. "Sounds like you could use a soldier!" - Trooper But it's said by Jennifer Hale, so I don't mind in the slightest <3
  18. Sad thing is, even if Bioware were patching every other day, people would still whine about the constant downtime. Hell, we get enough whining about the CURRENT amount of downtime. "OMG WHY U PATCH SO MUCH I CAN'T PLAY WTH DIS GAME SUXXORZ FU BIOWARE!!! I GO BACK TO WOW HURRR!!" Seems like no matter what they do, they can't win. I feel sorry for them, in a way. It's gotta be hell dealing with all these self-entitled little brats.
  19. Bumping, because I also think this should be possible, at least one time. See, I wanted to take my time and think of a good, solid legacy name... but the damned screen kept popping up every 3 minutes interrupting my gameplay (bad design, BTW) so I just put something in which I now regret. I'd like to change it. Hell, make it a long quest chain or something, I don't care.
  20. Huh, imagine that. They nerfed a class due to whiny little PvP babies, and succeeded in doing nothing but killing my prospects at doing anything but healing in PvE. Gee Bioware, maybe you should have used ACTUAL *********** DATA instead of going by forum QQ.
  21. I agree with the storylines thing, to a point. Last night I finished up my IA's story which, while awesome, was a bit harder to take seriously because her gun never showed up in cutscenes where it was supposed to be drawn. Threatening people with empty air just looks silly, and completely breaks immersion. Other than that, loving the game, and sorry to see you go.
  22. You are probably a European with their head up their butt.
  23. I like them more than I thought I would. They're a really nice, fun diversion from questing, and the EXP & cash gained from them is pretty nice as well. The only ones I avoid are the escort missions. Those things suck.
  24. I've no intention of rerolling, but if these ridiculous nerfs screw my PvE experience as much as I think they will, then I'll be spending more time on my trooper/commando for sure. I think I'm more upset by the fact that Bioware is following the Blizzard system of balance: Nerf something just because PvPers whine on the forums, without looking at facts or how said nerfs will affect the class in PvE. That being said, the changes haven't gone live (yet), and hopefully Bioware will study the effects for a few weeks on the PTR before going live with them.
