Umm... re-read post? Gave a few examples of why.... I personally dont care that they brought the cartel market... Once I heard FTP was on its way, a market was fully expected, but seriously the amount of nickle and diming on subs is out of hand.... Expansions that were originally supposed to be free for subs that ended up actually costing money... constant bugs popping up... Bugs that i reported in beta still around... Open world PVP is a disaster and has been since launch... Customer support team that often takes weeks to reply and usually with cut and paste responses that have nothing to do with the complaint... Sparse actual content updates (Which more and more are far more focussed on putting stuff on the Market, than giving actual content for their players) I've been around since beta and been a sub since launch but EAWARE needs to get their stuff together... There is absolutely no reason this game shouldn't be able to compete with WoW... Having a toon on almost every class, I can say the stories for the most part are pretty epic... And for the most part I enjoy the gameplay more then any other MMO but the very poor management of this game is downright embarassing... And to all the EAWARE fanboys about to flame me for posting what the vast majority of people are feeling (Yes we are the majority... Have a look at the forum posts) have at it!

You have failed me for the last time EA/Ware... I stuck around about as long as I could... I think the game is amazing, but is poorly managed... Promises constantly broken, patches that often break more then fix, horrible customer supprt, and some of the most anti sub appreciation I have ever seen.... This game is proof positive why all should stay away from anything with the EA label on it...

Of course some people share your concerns... I share some of your concerns... This game has a wide array of issues, as does every MMO, particularly in their first couple years... I started playing WoW when it launched and that game was a disaster when it first got legs under it, had nowhere near the same amoount of content etc... This game is not going to be immune to typical MMO problems and must be given time to develop, keeping in mind that EA is behind the wheel of this so you should expect constant disappointment and failure as they are essentially the Madusa of the gaming world... Anyway my point was, we don't need a new "I quit because" post every other day... Post in one of the hundreds already open, write eaware and share your concerns, quietly disappear and decide later if you are going to come back... whatever you want, just enough with these attention seeking posts... Eaware is not going to email you back and say "Wow, you brought very insightful and thought provoking issues up that we have never heard before, and/or didnt know existed. Please come back and we'll fix them" The reality is your issues that you put out, while relevant and good points, are not new... There are thousands of postings already about all of them

Every other day there is a new post about "I quit, and here's why"... We don't care why you quit. If you want to get some constructive critisim out than email eaware... All the current players don't care why you left, or if you come back... If you enjoy the game, great... If not, so long... You dont need to announce it to a community that has no idea who you are.. Stop attention seeking! its pathetic

I dont really understand why people get so uptight about double xp weekends? Just because a quest goes grey it doesnt mean you cant do it still. I mean I get you're a bit overpowered and its easy, but yuo can still do the quest and enjoy the story aspect right? Or as others suggested, just do your class quests and move on to another planet?

I dont remember how long each individual part took to find... Hoth took me a short while, maybe half hour, but DK was a nightmare... If HK was not so awesome I would have ditched the quest for sure... Maybe the most insanely boring quest I have ever played in an MMO... Awful design

Oh really? Is there a cap on the classic comms?

I read somewhere that there is going to be a cap on planetary comms which will be 50 and an additional 50 for any over flow... Now I cant find where I read it, so I wanted to check if this is true... If so I have been saving all my dailies, and have well over 500 now but if I'm just going to wind up losing the large majority of them I might as well just spend them... Can anyone confirm that 100 is the max planetary comms you can get?

I can actually sympathize with the OP a bit. I purchased the game before I had even played in beta, just because I was so excited for a Star Wars MMO game (Yes I played galaxies, but quit shortly after the disaster of NGE) I was pretty angry when I lost one of my name's during that period, as I had my actual, real full name... First name was my real name and legacy name was my last name... I thought it was really exciting to have a toon that looked a lot like me and had my actual name... So yeah, I thought it was really dumb that through no fault of my own, that name was taken away from me (Server transfers opened while I was at work, so by the time I had access to a computer to switch servers my name had already been taken) This could have been handled a lot better, like a lot of things could have been handled better... What I will say is this to the OP... It was a long long time ago dude... Time to let go... The loss of my name has not in any way effected my enjoyment of the game nor should it have effected yours. Was it annoying? Yes! Was it a deal breaker? Well if it was than you are far to invested in this game and need to get outside for a bit...

Ok so this idea only works for force using classes, but i thought it would be kinda neat to have some dailies for jedi/sith alike to train other jedi/sith? Like maybe 2 or 3 quests where you can take an apprentice out with you and teach them ways of the light/dark side... you can reward/punish them based on their decision and/or your alignment....

I to want them to trim down the expansion... I say get it down to like 300 mb... Like one new quest and a couple of pixels of a new planet... thats the stuff! What do you mean sarcasm does not translate well to text? Dude, it's an expansion. The more content, the bigger the download... My suggestion, get a better internet provider... When you say you hope they trim it down, what you are actually saying is you want them to cut content, and content is something this game sorely needs...

Some people genuinely enjoy grinding out reps with factions... I always enjoyed doing it... It gives neat sense of accomplishment once you have reached max level, plus they have already said by doing this you will have access to ccertain items that you may not have had access to before... Here is what I dont understand about the community... I have seen so many posts about nothing to do after reaching 50, so new content is announced and coming soon, and people complain about the new stuff to do lol... I cannot believe all the threads of people complaining about the expansion "only" being one planet and "only" 5 levels... Seriously? It takes time to develop stuff... There are some seriously legitimate complaints about this game I'm the first to agree, but sometimes I think members of the community complain just to complain...

Sorry OP gotta disagree... I was never a big trek fan... Not that I didn't like it at all, but just indifferent to it until the Star trek remake.... I thought it was Epic! I would agree that Abrahms has had some duds in the past but he's had some pretty awesome stuff as well... and as a visual storyteller there is no denying that the man is talented... Star Wars is pretty hard to screw up though in all honesty; not that it isn't possible, but you'd have to make a real effort... I mean even the prequel trilogy, which was clearly nowhere near as good as the original; weren't terrible... They just didnt mean the standard of what the average Star Wars fan expected (And Hayden was pretty awful... Oops I didn't say that did I? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO........) In any case, I think after what he was able to accomplish, he seems like a good candidate for star wars... I would have loved to see Joss Whedon get it and perhaps we still might for 8 or 9... ^This... Im not paying additional long distance fees on top of my sub for cartel coins which are supposed to be provided to me for being subbed... Its like asking me to pay twice for the same thing... Bioware needs to get their act together... Over the course of the last year I have watched them slowly destroy what should have been an overwhelming successful game with poor programming and terrible customer service... Patches that almost always break more than fix and customer service that usually replies with nonsense like "it must be your computer having the issue" or generic, copy and paste responses that 6 times out of 10 have nothing to do with the error/bug that was reported

I would agree that games are generally funner when missions are a bit harder, and I enjoy something that is a little more challenging, however this quest was not challenging or difficult in anyway; it was simply mind numbingly boring... The size of the areas you have to search are far to large... Now it didn't take me all that long really to find all the parts... I think my longest was on Drommund Kaas which I spent about an hour looking, but that was a long, tedious, intensely boring hour where I nearly quit looking as well... I think TOR is a blast to play, so when I load up i look forward to playing the game, not spending 3-4 hours total on one quest because I gotta scan every pixel on the screen for way longer than i should have to...

Honestly I'd say synthweaving simply for the ability to create your own augment... They get really expensive, as you add higher augment slots so the ability to make your own is huge! Plus at max level you can make a few nice peices of Rakata gear... Even at lower levels, you can make some pretty decent gear relative to your level.... I found synthweaving to be of great help to me and if you are looking to make money, well not much from synthweaving is going to make you money with the exception of the augments because no one is really going to buy gear from the GTN... I craft purple augments for MK-6 slots and put on the market... This usually pulls in around 45-50k per augment Best of luck

While I think you guys should be more focussed on all the bugs that are still present; some i remember reporting back in beta (I'm looking at you Collicoid flashpoint), this sounds awesome! Finally I have a reason for playing my 50's again. I'm gonna give bioware a pre-emptive thumbs up on this but I reserve the right to retract this thumbs up if this patch releases more bugs... Also, I understand you want stuff on the Cartel Market to make money - perhaps it may be a good idea to lay off a few of your design staff temporarily, and hire some programmers on contract to fix the bugs that are all over in this game and seem to come with every patch. This game is amazing, but it could be Epic... EAWARE, listen to your customers... Trust us, we want the game to succeed.

This comment! Although my confidence in bioware has been shaken, it is largely due to the mismanagement of EA... Every game EA is involved in goes from amazing to bad to worse... EA should stick to sports games which they know... Everything else they need to stay away from
