  1. Dear Bioware, Can you please just make this game into a single server game please. This insanity has to stop. You moved everyone to an east coast hub. Both servers are in the same location. Why have 2 servers? This game is fizzling away to nothing. At least let the people who still play this game do it with the maximum amount of players. Splitting the only 2 servers left which are both east coast servers in half makes absolutely no sense. Stop the insanity Bioware and just do it. Thank you.
  2. Restuss was plain and simple open world PVP. And every night on Starsider and Flurry we had 50 on 50 battles like clockwork. Restuss was a simple idea. LOS area setup for PVP battles. 1 open world area for PVP worked for SWG for 9 years. Don't re invent the wheel. Its easy peasy. They just need to do it.
  3. Well TBH the current ranked system should have 2 things. #1 If you leave a ranked arena for ANY reason your account should be timed out from queueing for 30 minutes. #2 they should make it a lot easier to boot a player is 3 people want them gone. Those 2 things would eliminate the entire win trade throwing ******** instantly.
  4. If those rewards came from the dailys then yes I would run them. But for weekly rewards, no thanks. I will stick to PVP 24/7 for my GC points. Waste of my time for that little bit of rewards for WEEKLY. Make it daily and Ill be all over it.
  5. You want open world PVP 24/7 than do what SWG did and make rewards for doing it. Create a Galactic War system just based on open world in addition to what we already have. In SWG you had ranks that were gained by open world PVP and decay on those ranks if you didn't maintain a weekly participation. BOOM a win win scenario for everyone. Nothing lost but only gained. Easy peasy. Wake up bioware before its too late.

  7. Lol, that is so un true. I came to this game with 50, yes 50 guildies from SWG. We were a tight group and always kept tight for many many years. Most of the 50 people bought the $150 package and were beyond excited for the release of this game. I can remember it like it was yesterday. We were incredibly sad and knew we would miss our favorite game SWG but were also excited for the next adventure in Star Wars which was the release of SWTOR. Well then the release of SWTOR came. And to say that the group was disgusted and saddened is the biggest understatement you could make. The launch of this game was at least a year too early. It was launched with so many mechanics missing or not yet in the game it wasn't even funny. Anyhow I don't need to go there. Anyone (like me) who was here at launch knows what happened so I will spare you going thru what most people know. But from the 50 people I cam here with, within 3 months there was only a few of us left. After 6 months I was the ONLY yes only person from the original group that was left playing. That still amazes me to this day how horribly wrong this game went at launch. Months past in at that time was Ventrilo and the talk about SWTOR ended. All the people from the original group found other games to play and stopped even talking badly about SWTOR. It just went away like a vapor. I still talk to a lot of those people from launch and the most that they say is "your still playing that crap game, I cant believe your still playing it" Most people don't even ask or discuss anything to do with this game. So in closing to say negativity ruined this game at launch is the height of absurdity and an outright lie. I came here with 50 people chomping at the bit to play it and almost all of them were gone within 3 months. And talk about forums was never even mentioned. Nobody gave a crap about the forums. This came from game experience, not negative talk from other people on the forums.
  8. I was just going to point that out to you
  9. Ok mom. And same goes to you. don't sit here and scold me for calling out an obvious troll. You don't like the way I handled him trolling, than feel free to move to another thread. But the same thing you are "scolding" me for, you are doing to me. If you think that everyone should play the way they want, then leave me alone for playing the way I want. And the way I want is to call out trolls and shame them every chance I get. Take your own advice and leave others alone.
  10. I like the idea other than the 100-200 members per thing. They should just make it 10% or whatever with the same perimeters as 10% xp boost is in. All 100-200 per 1% will do will encourage everyone into mega guilds and leave smaller guilds feeling like second hand trash. Conquest guilds I have no problem with because what you gain is optional and doesn't really enhance your game time or play. But 10% cxp or xp does and should have a low threshold to obtain for guilds like it does now.
  11. And you waited till now to move 50 toons to Harb? And why to Harb? And where where you toons that you moved? You sound like you will fit in just perfect on that server. When they announced server mergers I could not get my toon off of that disgusting pile of trash fast enough. You are the FIRST person I have heard of that is moving toons TO Harb since they announced transfers. Not even 1 person I know is moving toons there and ALOT of people I have talked to have moved their toons off like I did. Anyone who wanted to goto Harb for gameplay did so pre server transfer announcement. Most people like me did it without pleasure knowing what a toxic pile of trash that server is but did it because the population was the highest at the time. Reading your post whining about server maintenance being 10 minutes early and you having a hissy fit about it is completely typical of the average Harb player. I am extremely happy to see all 50 of your toons there.
  12. We live in a day and age when telling the truth is a revolutionary act. My posts always bring the noise. There's an old saying "the truth hurts". And in these forums it not only hurts but stings a little too. Don't eat all your popcorn at once. As long as I am here, I promise you a show.
  13. I always wondered what white knight mean when they say "do you have the exact data bioware has about sub numbers and server loads". I couldn't care less about any data sheet that bioware has or doesn't have. When entire guild (large ones) leave the game and you have 3/4 of the games servers unplayable due to a lack of players what good do "numbers and data" actually amount too? I make my evaluation based on observable data. What bioware has on some spread sheet about "actual" numbers doesn't amount to a hill of beans when I am on a server that nothing in the group finder works because everyone left the game or moved to 1 server. I mean what do I care about biowares data sheets when I cant play the game. Most people just stop playing. They usually don't ask bioware for actual sub numbers or data sheets before leaving. Its just an ignorant statement to make when players are complaining about lack of players and empty servers and you run around screaming and yelling at everyone " Do you have the actual numbers, because if you don't you should shut up because obviously they are fine or bioware would do something" That is just as ignorant of a statement as anyone could make. Most people by now have either add/ignored the usual white knight crowd or just pass by them and disregard anything they say. The real players have spoken. And believe me, bioware heard what they had to say. Loud and clear. No amount of white knights can change what has happened to this game because of bioware making predictably bad decisions. Its there for everyone to see, and you don't need "data" sheets to see it.
  14. Unfortunately, your more than likely correct. 5.0 was a mistake. Honestly if you merged every single server remaining including EU servers you probably would have enough people to make a healthy game once again. But I have to agree that I am afraid making 2 servers for NA is too many at this point. They waited about 2 years too long to do this. Unfortunately that is the reality because I really like this game.
  15. I would join you, however I get a 120-130 ping there. Currently I run 20-30 ping on east coast and 70-80 ping on west coast. I already have 21 toons on TRE so I am just leaving that alone. I play early mornings there when ranked isn't popping on Harb. But my true passion and 80% of playtime will be east coast until it dies or the game shuts down. 1 thing for sure, I am done with west coast. And if east coast becomes toxic like west coast then at least I will have a decent ping while the trolls troll. Before I go back to west coast I will uninstall and call it a day.
  16. With a game that has zero open world pvp and both ranked and regular pvp instances solely relies on "queue pops" then yes, absolutely yes if you play this game having pvp as your main focus then waiting forever in queues means its dead for you. Now for a solo based player or someone who is part of a very well formed progression group and that the main scope of your game play, than population and queue times mean nothing or don't have much influence on your game play. So you are correct in one sense and that having 100 people on fleet doesn't mean the game is "dead" by definition. But for people who do PVP, GSF, Ranked, Regs, or any other PVE instance that makes use of the queue system, then having 100 people sitting on fleet not in queue means absolutely nothing. And the fact that this game needs 3 to 4 times that number to healthily produce a quick queue response than the people claiming that those servers are dead are in fact correct. To them and that style game play they are most certainly "dead" servers. To be fair, Harbinger for the 3 plus years I have played there has continually produced decently fast queue times pretty much 24/7. It has without any doubt been the premier server for fast and responsive queue times. Thus the reason it absolutely sucked the life out of just about every single server left in this game in the NA. The only problems I have with Harbinger is higher ping, and an obnoxious PVP community. Other than that, the server is working as intended IMO. My hope is that enough people return to the east coast servers now and that there is enough merged into it that the queue times will be comparable to Harbinger. It not, than I have already made a conscience decision that I will quit this game forever. I have played it since the day of launch and never unsubbed. But if this server merge doesn't work I wont return to west coast ever again and will definatly unsub and uninstall forever. I really hope that isn't the case. I love this game but I refuse to wait long for queue pops. And all I do is PVP 24/7.
  17. 3 Reasons: #1. Server transfers will not be available right away after Nov 8th and they are not sure how long they will be offline. They are guessing at least 1 week at this time. #2. 90cc per toon means absolutely nothing to me when it comes to improving game quality for me. #3. After the disgusting experience I have had dealing with the most toxic environment I have ever seen (Harbinger) I have made a conscience decision to ride the east coast till the end. I would rather quit the game than continue one more day dealing with the polluted and disgusting toxicity known as Harbinger.
  18. I moved my toons to Harbinger years ago to get quicker queue pops FROM east coast servers. I am on the east coast hated my ping being so high but traded it for quicker queue pops. Since the announcement of the new east coast server I move ALL 32 of my toons from Harbinger back to Shadowlands so when Nov 8 hits I can have my east coast life back with a healthy population and decent queue times. (And a lot less toxic environment away from that Harbinger trash). So my question is, how many people have or are planning on doing the same?
  19. Will you be able to pick which server you go to, or is this a forced server merge based on what server you are on now? Because I would love to go back to playing on east coast servers, but because of the lack of population on all of them I moved ALL my toons to Harbinger. Now with this I absolutely want to go back to east coast.
  20. Are you developers going to include a thorough roadmap explaining what your plans are for resolving all these dead servers? Realistically there are only 2 really viable server choices as far as being able to play this game utilizing the group finder and queue system and that is The Red Eclipse and The Harbinger. Besides those 2 servers the remaining server only exist for nostalgic reasons and are extremely unhealthy as far as population goes. Can I get a developer to say yes or no on this question? I would like to know if this issue is going to be on the roadmap coming up in a few weeks.
