  1. Okay... maybe this is a stupid question, but why did it have to be out before the end of June? Why didn't they fix bugs and then release it after? Am I missing something here?
  2. Bump for others to see and add any additional info.
  3. A major bug like this and it was unfixed before the patch was released?
  4. I'll tell you in 1hr 20 min. However, since you can consume multiple items with no confirmation or error and only have one available (with no crew members out) I'm guessing it's a bug.
  5. Update- you can use multiple mission items, they are all consumed, but no additional quests are unlocked. You can just keep using them for no effect whatsoever.
  6. The first thing I tested out in 1.3 is apparently broken: When attempting to do crew skill missions with multiples of the same mission item (like the ones you get from Slicing) you can use multiple mission items but have only the first work. Example: The 340 bioanalysis mission skill item that unlocks the quest "Under the Red Star". I use the item, send my companion out on the mission. I have several of the mission item, so in the hope I can send another crewmember out on the mission (like it said you could in the 1.2 patch notes) I use another mission start item. The item is consumed, and instead of unlocking the mission again, I get another verbal confirmation from the companion already out on a mission, and nothing else is unlocked. I just used 3 340 Bioanalysis mission items in a row - I was able to send one companion out and wasted two. /sigh Update- you can use multiple mission items, they are all consumed, but no additional quests are unlocked. You can just keep using them for no effect whatsoever.

  8. Here is the key: Say you have a log full of missions you don't want, and you want to get some metal ones. Send all your characters out on the crap missions. Relog. Cancel the missions, then look at your new log full of missions that weren't there before. Odds are there will be a metal one or two. Rinse/repeat. Just resetting them sucks, so you eliminate some from the pool.
  9. With all these tasty new things Legacy offers for up-and-coming alts, will we be able to have 24 character slots per server? Because that's about the minimum I can imagine needing in order to enjoy all the permutations and fun stuff we've had the doors open for. Also - will there be an upgrade in the auction house in terms of how many items we can post there? I could put up hundreds of fun crafted items for people leveling up, but I hit the 50 limit in a matter of minutes.
  10. All I know is - I want to have more alts, but I can't and still retain the legacy that I've built. I have two friends that just started the game and I wanted to level up from 1 with them, but I haven't been able to, because all my characters are 20+, and it's stupid that I'd have to delete characters. Make it 24 character slots per server, please!
  11. I have around 30 of them, all as rewards from "crit" crew skill missions. I've had them as rewards from Diplomacy, Investigation, Underworld Trading, and Treasure Hunting. Buying them with commendations isn't worth it. You get pieces of gear that are good for 5 levels at most. You're better off getting crafted epic mods and stuffing them into orange armor- it's less expensive (credits) and less time invested.
  12. Being constantly stunned/CC'd as a tank isn't challenging, because you're not doing **** except sitting there looking at your stunned/CC'd character while the rest of the party is getting ripped up. "Challenging" isn't sitting and looking; it's being active in a dynamic, fun encounter.
  13. I was soloing with my low level smuggler, when I noticed a newer player doing the same. We grouped up for a heroic quest, got down into the dungeon, and started killing stuff. The new player pulled three groups accidentally, and after about 20 seconds of chaos and running madly trying to outdistance the mobs, he died. I hit Heroic moment and some other cooldowns, healed myself, healed Bowdaar who was taking up the slack, busted out a Force choke and a bunch of aoe, then took down the remaining elites after a few more heals. Needless to say, the new guy was impressed. THAT is why you have Heroic Moment.
  14. Everything that has a beginning has an end, Neo.
  15. Developers can break bots easily. And no, thankfully I never played SWG. Maybe you and I have different definitions of "bots", but most people know and accept that a bot is something that can automatically play the game for you without you being there. A macro or set of macros chaining together abilities for sake of simplicity isn't a bot.
  16. Exactly. Me having a mouseover taunt macro so I can snag an add off of a healer at a moment's notice isn't the same as someone botting for resources or pvp. No, one doesn't NEED to have macros. But most people don't NEED their car when they have a perfectly serviceable bus system. But it's nice. And it doesn't make them think things like "why the hell can't I have a car" or "why the hell can't I have some simple macros in a brand new game when WoW has had them for years".
  17. Why wouldn't you want macros? If I'm tanking, it's sure nice to have mouseover macros so I don't need to click targets back and forth to use abilities and keep threat (because Tab targeting sure as **** doesn't work). How about an emergency "oh ****" macro? Wanting to play with the base interface, when it is so limiting in functionality, mystifies me.
  18. Considering the developers have stated that they wish to encourage trading, they sure do make it difficult to obtain crafting materials that you need to do so.
  19. Synthweavers can craft a set that will deck her out in a nifty set of "real" robes. I forget the name, but it's not class specifc. Orange, of course.
  20. I really hope they don't merge servers. My "classic MMO experience" is having some ******* stealing resources that I'm clearing for, or mobs I'm trying to quest for, or crowding the hell out of every area I want to go. It's why I left WoW. It's why I'll cancel SWTOR in a heartbeat if it starts looking like that. MMO doesn't mean "PEOPLE EVERY *********** STEP OF THE WAY".
