  1. You know, there's this awesome thing, I don't know if anyone's told you about it, It's called fun. Try it sometime when you put down the improvement card and stop caring about gcds. Yes, because asking for help from your team is something you shouldn't do...in a team based game. And is a great indicator of someone's skill. God forbid I give my team a heads up that a node is under attack and get overrun by the enemy because I can't 1v7 the enemy team. I bet you are one of those players who don't call that a node is under attack and just let the enemy take it as long as you get your 1v1 duel. But that's me guessing you play the objective to begin with which you don't.
  2. That's because it is. What's so smart or tactical about chasing someone who phase shift out of combat? And compare to other warzones, it's the most basic of them. Just kill the enemy team before they kill you. Outside of targeting a certain player, there's no strategy to it other than out dps and heal the enemy. The farmers aren't coming. They're too busy running and dying at mid. Chasing big numbers so they can see that sweet, sweet yellow fly up. They don't care. They only go where the fight is the heaviest and that's mid. We've all seen time and time again that they'd throw themselves into the meat grinder in a wild goose chase to see some yellow numbers. Dying x amount of times at mid when the whole enemy team is there. And what do they have to show for it? A 97k furious strike. That's all there hard work and barbarian like approach gets them before getting mauled to death. And that's considered good? You consider that a job well done that you were able to get that yellow critical hit before dying, even though you didn't kill the player at the same time? You can not sit there and say you do not see a problem with that way of playing. Killing the other team isn't going to get you far. A team of damage farmers who only chase players isn't going to win any games.
  3. It's not elitism to tell someone to play the objective and answering defense calls from time to time. Someone running around only caring about numbers and not contributing to the team is different than telling someone to kill themselves and never que again because they broke first stun. We're not telling you that you can't get your 30+ kills, but have some sense in the warzone other than chasing some yellow critical number.
  4. That is all hearsay. Unless you can exactly predict who, when, and where is coming to you, there is no way to be fully prepared of what's coming your way. No amount of analyzing or using chess is going to help because pvp is unpredictable. ZUHFB's chess analogy is wrong. MVP isn't just having a 30+ kills and zero deaths and squealing when you hit a yellow 190k raging burst hit. It's about defending, objective, and attack score as well. Being a team player, not Rambo. And are you conflating defending an objective with skill? It's not going to be a one on one duel like in tournaments. It's usually 2,3, sometimes 4 people coming. Are you expecting one person to kill all four of those players? Hold off, maybe. But kill? No amount of skill will help when the enemy team has numbers on their side. So players that can't pvp and have no strategy are assigned an automatic loss because they can't deal with an enemy? That is just ass backwards thinking. Maybe if it's a team of zergers, then yeah. But to write them off just because they can't pvp and win a 2v1 is just wrong. You can't accurately predicate what's going to happen in a warzone.
  5. Then you, crazzykiddd, and all the other players who can't function in a normal warzone should just stay in arena. You can ohhh and awe over who has the highest dps there. Just because the rewards are reskins, which they've always been since season 2, and you can't get some high end rewards, you're going to ruin the other 7 people's game? This is why people always called you ranked players entitled. Everything doesn't have to cater to you. You want to be low iq and just chase after high numbers and players, stay in arena so you don't ruin the game for people who actually care.
  6. I'm not saying he's bad, I'm saying that if he or any ranked player is good, then they wouldn't brag about beating up casuals.
  7. User name checks out... What's a true waste of time is deathmatching at mid and dying for the nth time in a chase for kills for your epeen. Like running around chasing somebody is entertaining and thrilling gameplay just to see yellow numbers fly up. And yes we do. When you're on a team, you don't put yourself above them just because you find node guarding boring. You're going to ruin 7 other people's game because you can't handle guarding a node. Is your attention span that small that you can't sit there for 30 seconds? If you want to be some solo badass who don't need a team, then go to Elder Scrolls Online. You can live out your solo pvp badassery there.
  8. So you can't win on your own and have to have 6-8 people covering your butt. Got it. The best possible team? You seriously one of those people who think everything's a competition? Let me tell you something: Not everything's a competition and you can't win them all. And that's what currently happening right now. Team are formed that if they can't win or take the lead in 10s, they afk and feed the enemy team. And let's not forget the pms of harassment they send to anyone who does something they don't like. Get out of here thinking that you want the best team and pubstomp when you just want to screw other people over with your nonsense. Bolster doesn't do a thing except put you at the minimum stats to do barely anything. It wasn't the end all be all. You still had to do your part unless you wanted to be target practice for the enemy. That's what bolster was for. People who wanted to do the minimum amount of work and felt like they did something. You think someone in 300 gear will beat someone in 336? So your definition of a skilled player is someone who knows the ins and outs of their class and can read the enemy like a book. In a perfect world, that might be it. But it's not. You can't completely know everything someone's going to do and predict every outcome. For all you know, they're could be 2 stealths going for the cap and the jugg attacking you is just distracting you. So it's not an open and shut case.
  9. That still doesn't make him good. If he was, he'd play people on his skill level, not people who don't play as much as him. Let's try simpler terms. It's like a NFL team winning against a college football team. The only thing you've proven is that you beat someone who's on a lower tier than you. Or a black belt beating up someone who's a white belt. Proves nothing but that you beat someone who's not in your skill range. That's considered good? Please. Now that they can't win trade, they have to actually try. They can't do anything without someone backing them up or standing there to let them beat them up. They're just as bad as they accuse people who only do regs. Those aren't friends grouped up to have a good time, they're ranked players who decided to take their frustration to regs.
  10. Oh yes. Nothing like zurging number farmers who can only care about big numbers in a warzone.
  11. But how can they get that experience and learn if they are booted before the match starts? Nobody would know how to do a Nim raid without actually being in the raid to learn. It's not like you can go into the raid yourself and learn the strat to defeat Brontes. So how can you learn something if there's no one willing to teach you? You just expect everyone to know how to do it automatically?
  12. Is he farther from the truth, tho? Because who else is forming those so called 6-8 man premades that people keep saying they're coming across? Who else beside the sweaty griefers who need a premade to be any semblance of good? All the pvp guilds are gone, as people love to say. So who's doing it? And what classifies someone as a good pvper? Knowing rotations, when to use abilities? Playing the objective? Killing someone in less than 10 seconds? What makes someone definitively a good player? Because that's always the phrase ranked players tossed around, yet never tell what makes a good player besides having the highest gear level. And compared to other games, like WOW, the ranked format is more competitive. That should be right up the ranked players' ally since WOW didn't cut all of the abilities for classes and can be as toxic as they like.
  13. Better? If they were better, they wouldn't need to group up and gank people to win. That's all these former rated players are doing. And can you really call them better when they beat up on casuals? That's like saying you were in and won a fight against an old person with arthritis. You didn't do anything spectacular or noteworthy except beat on someone who doesn't sweat as much as you do.
  14. I think using only one makes sense. Anymore would have raised suspicious. Heta might have even stopped the fight if she found out they were in use because she needed to beat Shae on her own terms to prove to every mandalorian that Shea's weak.
  15. Says who? You and the other supposed ranked players? If you took 2 minutes to look in the mirror and wonder why ranked was a small community and no one wanted to join it, you'd see why. This isn't rocket science or brain surgery. Anybody can understand this game. You don't have to watch this guide or this one. It's like Call of duty. As one of my favorite youtubers said: Any scrub can pick up a controller and get a chopper gunner. Same with this. It takes little to no effort to understand and you can still be at the top of the leaderboard, but you guys think they're some kind of skill gap that clearly isn't there. Those number crunchers are as useful as a band aid on a severed arm. Anyone can come up with those numbers. Remember arsenal merc and how everyone ran it when it did the most damage? Or vengeance jugg, as you mentioned? Another class 9/10 players ran because it's the most broken. Whether you had the 2694 accuracy or not, you were going to win regardless. You don't even have to follow the rotation or have good gear. Just spam impale and slam and you still get kills and have the highest damage on the team. Just like with madness. It's a broken spec, not a numbers game. And all that you just mention about experienced players? By your own logic, people who only do regs are experienced players because that is what you see there, but you former ranked players said it was a snore-fest because there was no challenge. But in ranked, all of a sudden it's different. What was the difference? Running around chasing somebody who phase shifted out of the first stun? That's more entertaining than caping a node in Yavin? Everything you see and do in ranked happens in regs. You want to talk about high horse? I'm not the one who calls everyone who only do regs incompetent hacks who only needs to do things easy and scared of a challenge. That was ranked players who looked down there noses at anyone who wasn't one of there own. Am I happy that ranked is gone? No. Cutting content out of the game is never a good idea. I don't like gsf or uprising, but I don't advocate for their removal against the few players that do like them. But, Bioware thought that action finally had to be taken somewhere.
  16. Say it louder for the people in the back. Some people think our PC's should just one shot kill everything and be perfect. And any judgment put on them should quickly be met with a saber or blaster bolt.
  17. Improve this, improve that, why is that always the go to for you guys? Who said pvp was a place for improvement? You and the former ranked players? Why can't it just be fun? Not everything is a competition, but the concept of fun is lost on people who tell others to never que again. And speaking of little kids, elitism, and entitlement, who were the ones who were complaining about replicas in the new season? Or say you're ruining someone's game by not being in the right gear? Who are you to tell someone what gear piece they need? Don't act like ranked players crawled through the mud and barbwire to get rewards when wintrading was a common thing. Yeah, you worked real hard to get that 1700 elo by just beating on the guy just standing there doing nothing. And on the concept of positive toxicity, while bad, it's a lot better than the doombringers and nay sayers who always have something negative to say and nit pick the patch notes, and call for the devs to be fired and wish harm on them.
  18. I'm all for stopping toxicity, but I don't think a lockout timer is the way to go. You can't stop people from quitting. If they wanted to do that, maybe implement what Halo does and give them a warning if they leave too many warzones before giving them a lockout.
  19. Why don't you go somewhere else? Your sarcastic attitude and elitist takes don't add anything except your disdain for people who don't need a towel for every match, and the dev team.
  20. I have. Multiple. And they were the most chill and understanding of people. Something that can't be said about ranked. If there was a problem between players, it was handed in a mature way, not telling someone to kys because that broke on first stun.
  21. That says more about the team itself than anything. You're telling me that the other seven can't defeat a boss or clear trash despite one player not being supposed geared correctly? Same for ranked. If they are as good as they like to claim they are, then it shouldn't matter going 3v4.
  22. PvP has always been unbalanced. At least that's what people been saying for years now. Which makes me wonder if they haven't fixed it by now, what makes you think they are going to fix it? In reality, it's people who just can't hack it and lost a fight to an enemy with only 7% hp left. Are there meta classes? Sure, but it's not like they are the end all be all. You don't see an vengeance jugg 1v7 a team and come out with only 85% hp left. Which begs another question: do you know what you're doing when attacking someone, or just running headlong and hoping for the best? And how do you know for sure that this will push casual pvp players away and quit? Did you ask any of them? Plus, using Blizzard as an example doesn't carry much weight as you think it does.
  23. Skill? Doing what? Chasing down an enemy who ran or teleported away? Using an ability at the presumed right time? Killing the healer? Choosing which and when to break a stun? All that stuff happens in regs, but that's not considered skillful to you guys as you considered it a place for people who just click random abilities. From how many see it, you guys just don't want people to have stuff. Is it that much of a problem to you that someone gets a reward and it didn't require them to need a towel and a shower afterwards?
  24. Oh please. Spare us the "if you haven't been in there, then you can't say how it was." nonsense. Just like the guy who said competitive sports is a warrior culture and is also a shame one as well and all they were doing is self policing and correcting it self. Yeah, real policing when nothing is done or said to someone who tells them to kill themselves for not having the right tactical. You ranked players being toxic is an objective truth. There is no witch hunt or boy who cried wolf. You clowns were a cesspool with inflated egos who think running around and chasing some is competent and skilled. What's skilled or competent about running around and chasing a dummy and doing the same thing over and over again? That's what people like you say about regs that it's boring and repetitive. So tell me, any of you ranked players, what's the difference with ranked when it's the same run, chase, and beat strategy and the same 8 people fighting each other? This was long overdue for people such as you who think they are top dog when all you really did was wintrade and put down anyone new who dared step into ranked and didn't have the immediate best gear on. God forbid someone doesn't min/max and tries to have some fun. But that's something ranked players don't know about.
  25. So how is Bioware suppose to listen to that many people with different views? Let's take the ui for example. Some loved it, others hated it. Is Bioware suppose to change it because a few people got up in arms about it? They can't listen to every single voice out there. Things wouldn't get done if they tried to appease everyone. And the community is a bit at fault for how they handle themselves. How many times have we've heard people say "Bioware fix/change this or I'm leaving"? Or "Bioware is a **** company for x reasons" When you have people like that, I could understand why Bioware wouldn't listen to them. They're not making suggestions to improve the game, they're making demands so the game caters to them.
