  1. The prices are set by the player based economy and the game developers will not step in to change prices. It's really easy to get credits these days by running daily heroics - you will get far more than you currently have from doing a few of those.
  2. Whilst for some the items you can purchase with the tokens may not be appreciated others will want them - especially that dance floor! Yes the mechanics are not all that interesting but let's be honest - it's not meant to be. If the rewards were superb and the experience was great then there would probably be an outcry over EA / Bioware promoting gambling.
  3. I went for a look that Theron sported after completing his mission on The Ascendant Spear https://s24.postimg.org/w6o7k1eid/Screenshot_2017-06-13_17_16_15_323223.jpg
  4. Amazon prices are grossly inflated compared to the price of buying the cartel coins in the game itself.
  5. Its 7,600 which I think is nearer to $36 than $60
  6. The price is very high and that is a good thing as these items are both rare and highly sought after. The high price means that there is another way for people to obtain these items if they wish to pay the money to do so and as it is simply a vanity item that in no way has a negative impact upon the game. As the price is high it also means that there is still a market for the item on the GTN - maybe not at the often insane prices we have seen though
  7. Hey bring on more Kai Zyken he was / is great
  8. Nobody forced you to spend the money, you knew that it was random and the actual chances of getting exactly the items that you wanted was remote to say the least. Nothing needs to change except peoples attitudes to cry foul when they do not get what they want from a random system.
  9. I'd say it has not been broken but a "feature" being used by some members of the community has been removed so the armour can only be used as it was intended to be used in the first place - to boost xp gains and armour to around level 50 only.
  10. If the screen goes blank only when the SWTOR game client starts then I would suspect that it is a graphics setting which is casuing that. You may have had the resolution set previously to one which your new monitor does not support. Locate the client_settings.ini file at C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\SWTOR\swtor\sett ings\ Then ensure that NativeHeight, NativeWidth and RefreshRate are set to ones supported by your monitor. You can also try renaming the client_settings.ini to another name and then launch the game - it will load the default settings you can then tweak to a supported resolution.
  11. I dislike the new AOE terget indicator not only because it is terrible to see in certain lighting or terrain conditions but also because it is green and I think it is not even in the patch notes - the only mention of AOE is... Assuming that we have no way of getting the old AOE target art back can we at least have the blue or red colours back again so we know what the heck is going on?
  12. I agree with the others - this crate has nothing of interest at all. If it had had even one item that looked good I'd have been tempted but I'll just not bother.
  13. The new AOE target marker introduced in update 5.1 is far too difficult to see in some terrains. Please return to the old style.
  14. It is not possible to change account names. I guess that EA / Bioware may consider doing that but only in extreme cases where the account name could be considered offensive or similar.
  15. Your legacy name is created once per server and not at character creation - a pop up will appear during gameplay at a certain point (used to be the end of chapter 1 but is now much earlier). Legacy names can only be changed once each 30 days.
  16. This is not the best solution as it reduces the value of the events that are double XP events. Bioware want to make money from the game and to have regular douple XP events which attract new people as well as old timers back. But seriously you can level quite well enough just doing the class story and planet story quests (purple icons).
  17. Time to level to 50 is rather irrelevent as the mechanucs want class story completion instead. I got to 65 long before class story completion and thats ok
  18. Seeing as how all companions are the same spec wise does yet another one really matter when people may prefer the return of old companions instead?
  19. I agree on the old cartel packs as those were purchases and not a reward for being subscribed at a certain time (or for a certain duration). As for the extra companions that those lucky enough to be subscribed got (I am not one of them) then I cannot agree - this was a one-off and despite the fact that I was not in the game at that time I support it being a one-off.
  20. You need to obtain Eternal Level in order to get the merciless Darth Hexid Companion or the courageous Master Ranos Companion. Reach Level 65 with any Republic DvL Character Reach Level 65 with any Empire DvL Character Complete round 5 of Eternal Championship with a DvL character
  21. I am also suffering form this not showing as completed insofar as the Champion Level requirements are concerned. I have submitted a bug as I completed the flashpoint solo, before the time expired and without any death so it should show as completed. I will do it again as well - a pain but probably will result in it being recorded (hopefully). [update] I just noticed that The Foundry is showing as completed in the tracker but I know for sure that I have not done that flashpoint at all yet! It may well be that the legacy tracker is set wrong and shows some flashpoint as completed when it should be showing others?
  22. No guilds interested at all? That's a shame, I've turned down countless spam invites to guilds from people that do not even have the decency to contact me first - not looking for that sort of a guild. Gericke is now level 60 and has completed his class quests - now working on Ilum then it will the normal progression route but skipping RoTHC as I can always do that later. Still interested in a guild on both sides as I will be actively levelling up my Sith Warrior very soon.
  23. I am a Mac user and I have some experience of Mac clients. They fall into two camps..... 1) A true native client - like the one used for World of Warcraft 2) A shell client that runs a pseudo Windows version through some wrappers The native client is obviously a lot better but it also requires a great deal of specialist skill within the development / coding teams. The shell / wrapper client requires a lot less specialist skill and is used by several games - Final Fantasy XIV being one of them. I have tried both versions of clients and have not noticed any real issues but I have a very high spec Mac (a Mac Pro with dual graphics cards). I would love for EA / BioWare to release a native Mac client but that is not going to happen for the simple fact that it is not economic for them to do so. The development time and effort would not achieve a return in subscriptions worthy of the cost. I recently came back to SWTOR after several years away - since I had a Windows PC to be honest. I do not think that it would be possible to get the custom engine used in SWTOR to run on any platform and despite having to reboot into Windows I am happy to do so to enjoy the adventures of my characters. In closing - I would LOVE to be wrong and see that EA / BioWare announce a native Mac client but I think that there is as much chance of that as there is of having the ability to SGR the original companion characters (and for the same reason - no economic sense).
  24. Greetings to you I have returned to SWTOR after a number of years absence - it has changed a lot! Seeing as how I returned on the day of the start of the Dark vs. Light event I have eight characters that I will be working through levels (which seem to go past quite fast). I am therefore seeking social / light RP guilds on both sides that would be interested / willing to take them on. I am a UK based player and whilst very rusty on mechanics I will do whatever I can to help out on flash-points and maybe even operations if someone can explain things to me first on them My characters are as follows..... Republic Gericke - Gunslinger - light (current lev 40) Osroc - Jedi Sentinel - dark (current lev 16) Zeky - Trooper (will go Commando) - dark (lev 1) Regtael - Consular (will go Sage) - light (lev 1) Imperial Zek'an - Sith Sorcerer - light (current lev 13) Mekn - Sith Warrior (will go Juggernaut) - dark (lev 1) Sozakger - Imperial Agent (will go Sniper) - light (lev 1) Pecs - Bounty Hunter (will go Power Tech) - neutral (curren tlev 5) It is my intention to cycle through all eight characters initially to level 50 and completion of the main class story line. I will then progress on through the other quests / storylines in order so as to not lock out content and also get all those nice little Dark vs. Light boxes ticked off. It would be great if the guild(s) also went in for a bit of PvP as I would be needing to get involved with that it seems not only to complete Dark vs. Light content but also some later content on the KOTFE story. At the moment obviously PvP can wait as I am far too low level and lack any decent gear. Thanks for taking the time to read this and I hope that I may find two new homes soon.
