Yes the binary star rep only comes from opening packs currently. it sounds like they may release more slot machines in the future that will give you an in game way of gathering this rep but currently that's only for the Contraband Resale Corps. You can do the bounty brokers when those missions come around once per week (monthly event for 1 week at a time). Its set to come back next week i believe. Same for Gree Enclave Rep. If you click on the Reputation tab in your legacy it will tell you at the very bottom of the paragraph how to obtain those you haven't done yet.

you are mistaken if you think crafting is the key to credits in this game.

I agree with you. maybe it didn't feel as much like a credit sink because the credits weren't leaving my inventory very quickly. i was getting 35-40k back for every 50k spent on coins. and with that i was also getting scraps and cm certs. 10-20k for those items was a very good deal in its current state, I view the machine as a novelty item for my friends who need the rep.

I didn't find it to be much of a credit sink personally. I was getting roughly 70% of my credits back from selling the rep to a vendor.

seriously you have a problem with someone saying congrats to leveling? what about congrats on getting the roll on a nice piece of loot? Do you send a birthday card to a loved one? I'm guessing no. I would much rather see someone say congrats on leveling and here, use my hol-statue to rank up your abilities. Instead all i get is.. space bar...plzz..... spaccceee barr...... omg......space bar seriously??

I can confirm this will unlock your collection once the timer ends. Note that you will not get the msg in the chat window "Revan's armor has been added to your collection". You don't get any alert but when you go into your collections it will be there.

for several months these went for less than 100k on The Shadowlands GTN. only the last few weeks have the price gone up to 200-300k. With the ease of getting credits in this game, this is the route I would go, even if the unlocks were 600k credits.

we are all playing the hand we were dealt.. 1) pre order the game and get early access, get your character names before others.. 2) server consolidation - if you aren't a destination server, you may lose your name... 3) server consolidation 2 - if you aren't a destination server, you may lose your name again... 4) character name purge - get your name back! I lost character names that I had on my first server.... then lost a few more when i moved to another server... with the first name purge I was able to get all but 1 or 2 back. I am also not a fan of the special characters. not the look, but typing it out is a pain. IMO, your character name is an extension of you. in a game where everyone looks the same, its really your only way to stand out and give your character a little of your own personality. I am no more entitled to a name as you are. reasons like, i have had this name in EQ1, EQ2, SWG and Guild Wars 1/2 are void arguments. however if that name comes available again and you can snag it, by all means you should. The 1 name that I really wanted back, I actually sent that person an in game email.. said I would give them a character rename and buy the name from them (credits) if they were interested. haven't heard back yet and they have been lvl 26 for several months. if it works cool if not, oh well

i had this same problem a few days ago. off and on, thursday and friday of last week. a friend that lives a few thousand miles away had the similar latency/disconnects but at different times then me. things seem to be back to normal yesterday and today.

Do you see his username in MY ACCOUNT > REFER A FRIEND? I referred a friend who was already a subscriber. Once he was correctly linked to my account (and I saw him listed in refer-a-friend in my account), I logged out and back into the game and the speeder was in my mailbox. Also since he was subscribed already, I also had 500cc waiting for me. Make sure your referral checks the box in their account to allow emails from SWTOR. without this, they don't link correctly. This has been my experience with 3 referrals so far.

about a month ago I was grouped up with 3 other heals on the imp side... the funny thing is, the other side was imp too and they were all dps.

besides GTN and Rep/Certifications, the only other way would be to buy the packs that have a chance at dropping the helm itself. If they are no longer on the Cartel Market you would have to buy them from another player on the GTN or wait for bioware to bring the packs back to the Cartel Market.

I agree with you.. for subs especially. I tend to do all quests/heroics once before moving onto the next planet. with this and rested xp (not even using the free xp rewards from quests) I am usually 3-5 levels above the next planet beginning quests. I think for non-subs its more on par with the xp reduction and inability to rest. even with those reductions i think the level structure and xp is fine.

no opinions on this?

I am newly 55 and have been running with my 61 armoring that give me the 4 piece Rakata bonus. I am now almost completely in 69's and 72s but have not yet swapped out the armoring piece, so those are still the Rakata bonus 61's. Do I keep the 61's for now or swap them for the 69s/72s that provide no set bonus? This would be in the interim until I am able to get the next set bonus armoring. any feedback is appreciated.

I have bought a few items on the CM. most of the stuff I have purchased with credits weeks after the packs come out. The re-skinning of armor and weapons is comical but other than that I must say I like the CM. based on what I see on the GTN, lots of players like it too. So if having a CM peaks the interest of more players, which increases population.. I am absolutely fine with it.

I like the sandbox concept for PVE but for housing I do not agree.. I am positive you played swg where planets were littered (and i do mean littered) with houses everywhere. many of which abandoned or from cross server trades for people to build up cities and such. it made exploring a planet no fun for me. going out to see the sarlacc only to find Edwardo's House sitting next to it.. lol i'll be fine with instance based housing.
