  1. Yeah, I felt like I was leveling on Shae faster than if I should have considering no buffs.
  2. QT Cost changes So testing on the new Shae Vizla Cloud based server. Went to QT back to temple because it was a long run from the forge to get there. It was going to cost me 4,667 credits to Quick Travel. I only had about 7500 credits to my name. On a character for an established account on an established server, it is an insulting and annoying cost but when you have a billion+ credits not really a huge deal, just a nuisance. However, as first character on a new server, I felt like this cost was excessively expensive. If I had been a new player, I very well might have quit the game right there. Maybe have the costs much lower on the earlier planets, or cap the cost based on the total money the account has on that server. Seems it would be simpler to just lower the cost on starting planets, home worlds or key it to planet level cap so it stays similar to speeder costs. Do I find myself repairing more often. No, but I tend to repair every time I hit a vendor. I have noticed the increased cost. I am OK with the increased cost for repairs. Overall Thoughts: Not every player is a multi-billionaire in the game. I know several people that are always struggling to have credits. The increase in QT costs and repair are regressive. The wealthy player will barely notice it while the poor players will feel like they don't get a chance to get ahead. I feel there are some very easy things that could be done to help remove money from the economy without making the lives more difficult for the players that are not billionaires. Remove Credit cap from FTP. I get that you want to encourage subscriptions, but with these changes to repairs and QT they are going to need to have more money. Allow purchasing a subscription using credits or Cartel coins. World of Warcraft does this. It allows someone poor in game, but with RL disposable income to get in game credits for the cost of buying someone else a subscription. Since you control the exchange rates you can remove money from the game this way. Allow purchasing Cartel Coins Using In game money. You control the Exchange rate. I'm not willing to spend Cartel Coins to change my appearance, but I would spend in game credits to do this. Why not have an option to use Credits or Cartel coins with the appearance Modification Station. I know that in the short term this may reduce money coming to you, but if you are serious about fixing the in game economy then these types of steps need to be taken and none of this will cause players to quit the game. Just the opposite you may end up with more subscribers.
  3. I started a new character on this server. I'm in California, San Jaoquin County. Right away I noticed my ping was 2-4 times what it normally is on Star Forge or Satele. I normally have a ping of around 70, but ranges from 50-80. On Shae I was getting a ping of 160-200 during the several hours I played. When I first logged in, with only 33 people in the instance for Tython there was noticeable lag. People complaining of abilities not activating right away (I Didn't experience that) but I did see people suddenly back up and then stop and look around, like they suddenly rewound and were trying to figure out what happened. What I did experience is stuttering with poor frame rates and lack of smoothness. It was playable, but not great. That was around 10AM-12PM PST. I took a break and came back around 2PM PST to find that while my ping was still at 164, 28 people on Tython but no frame rate drops or stuttering. So it seems to have cleared up. Travelled to fleet and was smooth there as well. GSF quest completed about 30 seconds into the match. Said we were defeated, but neither team had points. Not sure what happened there. Did An Arena. No Exit area or auto log out after the match. 3 of us were stuck, the other 5 all seemed to be able to leave normally. We ended up getting booted out after a minute of so. we got credit for the intro to PVP quest.
  4. I have to agree with everyone here, the Cap is way too low, but more importantly there is really nothing to spend them on. the bottleneck for gear upgrades is the "aquatic resource matrix" "Decurian Isotope Stabilizer" and "Tech Fragments". We need a larger cap, but it will not actually fix the problem, just delay hitting the cap. What we really need is a dump for them, like a quest to trade 900 for 900 tech fragments, or allow SOW vendor items to be bought using Medals of Commendation instead of Tech Fragments.
  5. I know about combat styles and "advanced" classes was just wording the developers could change. Your name really is appropriate. The point is to have a new class, which would help draw people back to the game. It's been a decade and not one new class. Ideally they would be able to be played 1-50, but that is a lot of voicework they probably don't want to take on, thus the simpler option.
  6. If a cutscene "MUST" happen on a particular ship you could just get a message, "Must be on <ship> when you try to talk to them. There are very few cutscenes that require a specific background, they are done using in game graphics after all.
  7. I love all of it. I've wanted Voss and Gormak since first time I hit Voss 10 years ago.
  8. My thoughts exactly, have them become rep currency instead of credits.
  9. Hi Team, It's time for new Character Classes. It's been 10 years now and we still have the same 4 classes per side, and over time they have become less and less distinguishable from each other. There is only really a hairs breadth of difference between any of the Tech classes now, and Force users are a little better off because they have Melee and Ranged options. But otherwise all the classes have essentially the same abilities with different graphics. We need to add something new and shake it up. First thing, I would expect these to be "Advanced" classes, which I will explain. As an Advanced class they would not start at level 1, they would start at level 50, after the events of Corelia. These classes would need to be unlocked via Cartel Market (Or automatically for Subscribers). As a new character, they start after the events of Corelia and they get a short storyline that introduces the one and only companion they get before starting chapters. Optionally, they could have additional Companions they can get on Ilum, Makeb, Oricon and Rishi so they have the same number of companions as other classes. Personally I don't think it's necessary. They should get one to help make them unique and give a reason to not just take their abilities as a secondary. They could start chapters right away and get the companions available to everyone, not to mention almost all of us have companions we can unlock now. The second thing is how to make them unique, and I struggled with this. For Tech users: Engineer - This would be a ranged class. They would have DPS, Healing and Tank Combat Profiencies. DPS - DOT class - They would construct Turrets that would periodically fire at the enemy, like a ticking dot. Some turrets would be AOE, others would be single target and like other DOT abilities they could have multiple turrets out at a time. Unlike a normal dot, cannot be purged, but can leave the area. Turrets last 30 seconds and will target a different enemy if their initial target leaves range. All Aggro goes toward the engineer. Turrets will not choose new targets if engineer out of range or stunned as a PVP balance. Heal - Like DPS, but some turrets heal and they get a couple droids that will follow a single target, one HOT droid for this and one "Big Heal" droid to put them on par with other Main tank healers. Tank - Like above, but "Taunt" turret that lasts 4 seconds but takes all damage for engineer. They also receive a Charge ability like other tank classes, For Force Users: It is really hard to come up with something original for Force users. Think Dr. Lokin. That's right, a Rakghoul, or at least you can transform into one while in combat. They would automaticaly transform when entering combat. They would use a single lightsaber/force blade and focus on character sheet and outside combat. DPS - Small slasher type Rakghoul - Lots of leaping and AOE abilities Heal - Normal size Nekghoul - Sorc/Sage healer type. Tank - Large/Huge Rakghoul - Healing tank They heal themselves and others nearby with their abilites. Maybe only 1 emergency button, like a 40% additional damage reduction for 5 seconds, but they have more static Damage reduction. I guess it would be similar to Trooper/Bounty Hunter tank in that regard, but with added healing. No "Guard" ability.
  10. Hi Team, We need new Ships, not for the PVP Starfighter, but for everyday use by our characters. Since you are looking to reduce Credits in game, these new ships could be purchased from a vendor for a large (100Million+) credits from Vendors as a personal purchase. This price would restrict purchases to be only for Subscribers. Cartel Coins would be another option, but then should be able to be unlocked for all characters. The new ships should also be able to be decorated like a stronghold. The ships could even be borrowed from starfighter (to begin with), some would be just the pilots compartment while others would be larger than current ships. New ship designs would be nice though. Freighters like we have now, maybe some ships that look more armed and armored
  11. I missed this thread, just posted something similar, but treating ships like a stronghold and let us move around all the decorations and put out own decorations in. Maybe my BH ship could have a different color Cell, or hold Torro Blood in the cell, or other random occupant. Let me move my legacy bank to main cargo hold, or put swoop bike or Huttball posters on the wall.
  12. Hi Team, I think it would be great if we could decorate a ship like we do our strongholds. We should be able to put up pictures and such like we do in a stronghold. Some things like the bridge, holo-terminals and maybe intercom could not be moved. But all the boxes and other ship decorations should be movable. The crew and (if Unlocked) the cargo access both personal as well as Guild and legacy. I can see two ways to do this. Simple way is that they are all just treated as regular stronghold decorations. You just need to add the hooks and let us edit them. The other way would be to create "Ship Specific" decorations that can only be used on ships in general, or the characters ship. This could open up more decoration options as well.
  13. I support this idea. Sure, not all companions or vehicles make sense to have the companion shown. But should not be too hard to come up with rule. Vehicle MUST have two or more seats Companion MUST be Humanoid Size/Shape. Not everyone would be happy with the limitations, but would be a great improvement for game fun and immersion.
  14. I also support this suggestion. I was actually going to suggest it myself. In shroud of Memory she discovers her replicator ability and poses as others in the story, so allowing her to use any customization just makes sense.
