  1. Thanks for the letter Keith. I'm looking forward to seeing what comes along next year, and I hope you, and everyone else over at Broadsword working on Swtor, have a wonderful holiday season and enjoy a nice break.
  2. I had the issue too, and was able to pick it after completing the entire 7.4 storyline.
  3. I was also delighted to see this and am really hoping that changes to hats/hoods so hair remains visible is another improvement that the devs are adding to the game.
  4. Thank you Jackie! This is very appreciated news.
  5. I'm torn on this, because I do like getting the emails as a reminder when I'm out doing quests as it's a nice reminder to go check the GTN, but getting a bunch all around the same time is annoying. Personally, my preference would be for them to automatically delete themselves after claiming the credits from the GTN.
  6. I was speaking specifically about how you'd get Dark Spores after the end of Season 5. And, if I didn't hear that anywhere official (or at all), my assumption would have been based on how we get the rep tokens for the previous seasons. During the season, if you used that season's companion, you had a higher likelihood of getting the rep tokens, once the season ended, the only way to get them would be if you had that season's companion active, as the comment you linked says. Since, with Season 5 the drop rate increases when you play without a companion, it seems to me that it would follow that after the season ends the only way to get Dark Spores would be if you played without a companion.
  7. I might've just imagined it, but I thought I heard/read somewhere that you'd get them after the season ends by playing without a companion. Mind you, I can't find anywhere where I would've got that information, so take it with a grain of salt.
  8. Huh, that is weird. I get the page you screenshotted when clicking on the "Character Transfer FAQ" link, but just a popup when clicking the guidelines link. And I'm even less inclined to believe that is has any relevance if the page can't be found by some players and takes a fair amount of searching to find for those who are able to see it.
  9. I was able to find the information on this page, as a pop up when clicking the "Additional guidelines apply" link. Though, since all of this information is from a page that was created in 2012, I'm not inclined to believe that its still necessary to wait for a server to be open 90 days before transfers are allowed. And certainly, if that was the plan all along, I think Keith/Jackie would have mentioned it in the post announcing Shae Vizla rather than saying it would be based on a status review of the server.
  10. It was also missing for me when I ran the flashpoint the other day.
  11. I mean, if Jadus made a return so my agent could finally kill him, I wouldn't complain. But unless I get to kill him, I don't want him back.
  12. I didn't get a specific saboteur option on my Agent who's been working for thr Republic since forever, but I was able to come to an agreement with the SIS agents that didn't involve us fighting. Instead we all happily agreed to go our own way and pretend we never saw one another. Which, honestly is probably how my agent would have played things anyway. I'll wait to run my other Pub aligned Imps through until after this gets fixed, because they'd be all about getting Jonas to deal with the issue.
  13. Broadsword took over the game from Bioware, but it's still under EA.
  14. +1 This is a fantastic idea, I'd love to see it implemented, particularly with Nadia and Risha, as mentioned earlier, and also with Theron.
  15. Admittedly, I don't do much of the "mmo" part of SWTOR, but if I did, I would much prefer the newbie experience on a server with established and well geared characters than on one where players were forced to start from scratch. Presumably, it would be easier to run ops if the other players in my group had their properly geared characters and wouldn't be nearly as frustrated if I wasn't able to pull my own weight because I was still learning, because they could make up that difference. The game is over a decade old, if other players being well geared and rich in the game is a turn off for new players, I don't know what to say. It seems like an incredibly silly reason to not give the game a chance or to quit, in my opinion. Alternatively, a long term player being told they need to choose between their years of time spent in the game vs playing somewhere with less lag due to a server being closer to them is something I can definitely see as frustrating and a turn off for old players in the APAC region.
  16. I'm hopeful that we will. I think the team is well aware how much many of the players enjoy our OG companions, particularly the romance able ones, and they have been giving them minor roles in recent patches. Akaavi showing up on Ruhnuk was particularly notable in my opinion. No idea what Corso's and Jorgan's voice actors are up to these days though and how the strikes might have affected things, but I'll be going into the update hoping they'll show up for at least a scene or two.
  17. I'd really love to see marketing for the APAC server (and the whole game tied to this). Once the release date for the next update has been announced do a whole bunch of advertising - new expansion, new server, updated/improved lighting and graphics, Life Day, stronghold for 12 credits, (hopefully a collections unlock discount) - and maybe some fun bundles that include one of the new dyes and/or a free server transfer. I know a lot of people have aren't thrilled with parts of the game, which is understandable, but I think there is still a lot to be excited about especially right now and it would be wonderful to see the team capitalizing on that. (Plus, there are all those rumours that the KotOR remake is dead (RIP) so I feel like the Old Republic era is in the news/social media a decent amount right now and so more SWTOR advertising could pull on that as well.)
  18. That is an awesome gift. If you're willing to share, I'd love to see a picture of the pin.
  19. Unless you were subscribed to the game during specific months, you do need to buy the mission from the Cartel market, regardless of whether or not you're a subscriber now. If you do have it unlocked and it's still not showing up, I'm not sure why that would be happening.
  20. I agree that this is what I would consider the best solution at the moment, based on what people have suggested thus far. And I say this as someone who is bored of the GS companions and would be much happier of the stories within GS involved our current companions, rather than new ones who I don't care about. But, despite me feeling that way personally, I know when I was a new player how much I appreciated getting my first non story-companion that I could run through the starter planets with before getting my first companion and I want new players to have that opportunity. And, of course, me being bored of the companions doesn't mean that people who like them shouldn't have the opportunity to get them.
  21. Haven't checked out the upgrade on the GTN yet, but I'd love it if I could filter items by what I have locked/unlocked in collections. I frequently scroll through the GTN looking for new armor sets I don't have unlocked already, and while I think having items of the same name under one heading will be helpful, having the additional filter will be even more helpful.
  22. I love so much about the game, I could literally go on for pages, but since I'm at work, I'll keep it short. 1. The setting. I love Star Wars, but hands down my favourite era, and the only one I'm really attached to, is the Old Republic. The books, the comics, the games - I love them all and being able to play my multitude of characters in this setting is amazing. There could be a million other Star Wars games in the world without all the bugs that exist in this game, but as long as this was the game set in the Old Republic it would remain the one I play the most and my favourite. 2. The stories/characters. And here is where I really could go on and on and on. In all forms of entertainment I enjoy (books, movies, video games) the thing that draws me in and keeps me there are the stories. I don't care how good the combat system is or how balanced classes are, if the story is bad I'll leave and if it's good, I'll stay. SWTOR is so good. Sure there are places where I think it could be better, but I love it anyway because what we have is enough to make my characters ans their companions alive in my mind. 3. The community and their wonderful creations. I'm talking less about the community here on the forums and more of the community in various other spaces where people share their creativity as inspired by SWTOR. Their fanfics and fan art. A lot of the things I see are just so good and were it not for this game, I'd probably never find these creators and be able to enjoy their talents.
  23. Michael Kramer is Kate's husband and they co-narrate a bunch of books together - including the Wheel of Time and a lot of Brandon Sanderskn' cosmere novels (and yes, that's really off topic, but books are very distracting). And yeah, there's a number of stories and I'm sure someone else knows how to find them more efficiently than I do, but a lot of the older ones are linked here. It's missing a bunch of the newer ones including ones with Shae looking for Heta Kol, but it's a good place to start.
  24. I love Marc Thompson, he's probably my third favourite narrator. Kate Reading and Michael Kramer are my absolute favorites and I'd die of happiness if they narrated some Star Wars books. I'd also love more stories set in the Old Republic, though unfortunately I don't think it's likely, at least based on some Twitter comments I've seen Drew Karpyshyn make in response to people asking him if he'd write more Bane books. His comments basically came down to, he'd be happy to, but it's not something Disney is interested in at the moment. So, I guess until that changes, I'll have to be content with fancy new editions of old books and the various short stories that Ashley and the other writers on the Swtor team share with us.
  25. Inkstone Books, a UK based publisher, is doing a limited run on a hardcover, sprayed edges, signed and numbered edition of Dawn of the Jedi. And they'll be doing other Legends books as well (I'm hoping they do the Old Republic books, even though I already own multiple copies of the books). If anyone wants to learn more or get on the list to buy them, details are here: https://www.instagram.com/reel/Cx--7WKL50V/?igshid=MmU2YjMzNjRlOQ==
