  1. As an Assassin tank on this fight I find it much easier to just have everyone behind the boss and mostly in melee range (or close to the previous GTAOE). For 100% easy mode equip 2-piece pvp (dps) set bonus. With that 2pc bonus, you can safely interrupt every single incinerate yourself while kiting him around the room. I generally start by pulling him to the console (that starts the encounter) corner, and going clockwise from there. ~3 AOE's per doorway side, and 1-2 in the center where adds spawn.
  2. I miss huttball, I really do. That's going to be a primary factor in me looking forward to GW2.
  3. The assassin tank should swap in 2 pieces of PvP-DPS gear for +5m range on their interrupt. Makes that fight cake for any group composition.
  4. You don't have enough DPS, the tower operator isn't quick enough, or you're not taking the quickest route. Going straight down the line isn't always the best.
  5. Suggestion: Save a list of raid keys/tags I tend to run some raids lately with various guilds and it was just an idea. I currently have no issue just jotting down various keys.
  6. I've done it just fine with two melee DPS using the kiting method (in a pug no less). The group just really has to get those interrupts on incinerate if he's standing in the AOE, which usually falls to a DPS to do while the tank waits in the next position.
  7. Less complicated? Okay, maybe if you have never seen the mechanic in action. 5 minutes later after encountering the system I think you'd change your mind. Less efficient? Never having to re-target the enemy target for an offensive ability, for the entire fight if you were the healer when throwing out random offensive abilities? That is less efficient than swapping targets every single offensive cast?
  8. Here's what I see: http://ompldr.org/vZGV1aQ/brokenthread.jpg There's a few other threads like it. May have something to do with the code they use in their signatures.
  9. Here's to hoping they give us an option to revert, simple theme change...
  10. Is the OP of this thread broken for anyone else with the new forum layout?
  11. Agreed, why there isn't an option to choose between the two I'm not sure. I'd understand if this were a completely new forum system (eg: Warhammer Online's change of forums), but it isn't.
  12. Don't look the same to me, very similar... but not the same. One is obviously lighter.
  13. I've got no issue with the color scheme, it's the scale of the font and such.
  14. Really wish there was some other way to get around this, it's currently terrible.
  15. Christ, it's scaled so large... I hope I can reduce that and/or just go back to the old forum.
  16. Level 33, so you can pick up the quest to be inoculated.
  17. Zoning resets the timer, but it seems to progress just fine eventually. Logging out however, seems to cause it to no longer progress. This requires a cure or death to remove, and re-infection to progress again.
  18. I pugged through it today. I healed (Operative), and was the only one who had been in there previously. Definitely took a few wipes on each boss as they got familiar with the fights, but it was fun.
  19. I've requested this, or something similar, for a long time. My other suggestion was to have it just join whatever planet you're currently on/docked to.
  20. At this rate, I won't have to resubscribe until SWTOR 2.
  21. My interrupt (Assassin Tank) was always available for Incinerate. Our mDPS Assassin got every other Plasma Arc or so.
  22. I wouldn't take two mDPS, but we did it just fine with one. A balanced group with 1 ranged and 1 melee seems ideal.
  23. 3 people in melee is really not very forgiving in this fight. I highly recommend 1 rDPS and 1 mDPS.
