  1. Actually a lot of people agree with the majority of his points. How can you not?
  2. So you think it's a great system then?
  3. What do you expect when the CEO, John Riccitiello, is a white collar criminal. I covered US technology stocks for a big fund for 3 years and this guy is just the worst. He paid his former company, Elevation Partners, $800M for Bioware and Pandemic (one of which was shuttered a couple of years later) and received a massive payout and then ran both companies into the ground. Guy is an absolute crook and should be in prison.
  4. You do realize that people complaining that the game sucks based on very specific factors which they explain is helping make the game better, right?
  5. Delete the zone and send every level 50 10 bags a week in the mail. That's about the only way this concept will ever be fun for anyone. If you have a problem just handing out bags make the warzone dailies and weekly give out double the current number of bags and let people gear for PvP while doing something fun instead of making us suffer in the mess that is Ilum.
  6. I sincerely hope this is true. If so, my faith in Bioware will be restored.
  7. I support this, the cost to list on the GCN is way too high at this point (it's something like 7.5% of the listed price per day). Should be more like 1 or 2%
  8. I'm going to continue to sub but this is screwing up on a completely different level. It's one thing to not be able to play, servers are unstable at launch, I understand, these things happen. However, now you have game breaking exploits that first gave people millions of credits and then allowed Imperials to get battlemaster in a day. PvP has been irrevocably ruined on many servers because those battlemasters can start gearing tier 3 while the majority of repubs are still working on Tier 1. That means massive imbalance in warzones and you're already hearing about it. It's going to take months for this to work itself out and the fact that Bioware is not rolling back those Valor gains is just unbelievable.
  9. They irrevocably ruin the PvP scene in this game and then a few hours after saying they aren't going to fix it, come out and hand gold stars out to everyone. You don't understand the absurdity of this? Even if this was pre-planned it's moronic to pull it out now given how awfully they ****ed up. It just looks like a bribe.
  10. Actually it now means that a good chunk of the imperial side can start gearing up in Tier 3 while repubs that were farmed for a day straight are still stuck with Tier 1 and a few Tier 2. That means that Imperials will roll every single warzone at 50 and PvP will be irrevocably ruined.
  11. Carefully evaluating? That's ********. This exploitation is going to resonate into all aspects of PvP. 50's warzones? Full group of Imperial battlemasters vs. a hodgepodge of repubs in a few pieces of centurion. The whole thing is an absolute joke. Roll back all valor gains today and fire whoever conceived of this **** update. Delete Ilum from the face of the earth and just send everyone 10 bags a week, this zone is worthless.
  12. Just to be clear, you're saying he's at 4% on the expertise factor, not 7% from the maximum expertise numerical value? I just watched the vid and, honestly, I don't see what's so bad here. The most damage he ever did was a backstab crit on a light armored mid 20s for 5.8, that's also the only time he killed anyone within the 3 second window without additional help. The guy is clearly good, has pvp gear fighting a bunch of 20s and makes sure to get the expertise buffs plus he's maxed out on buffs and stims, obviously he's going to steamroll. He loses to a sentinel without heals or additional help unless he opens out of stealth and even then he's close to death. I saw him break 5k 3 or 4 times and most of the time he's below 3. Honestly, this video is not very good evidence to support your thesis that Op is overpowered.
  13. Your huge overreaction to anyone disagreeing with you is making you look foolish, just stop. He says he's missing 7% of his max possible expertise which is the stat we're talking about. How is that not basically geared to the maximum?
  14. Can't watch it from this comp but I will when I get home. From what you're saying here the guy is basically in max PvP gear killing <45s in no PvP gear. What do you expect? If he's killing you in a 3 second timeframe when you have a similar expertise then, yes, there's a big problem, but that doesn't seem to be the case here. If he way outgears you you aren't going to stand a chance, that's just the way it goes. If anything, sounds like the benefits of expertise to damage in PvP should be toned down a bit.
  15. I'd have to see a screenshot to believe it, highest crit I've ever seen is 3.5k. Given we have no real combat log it's just he said she said but I'm highly skeptical that that actually happened.
  16. Blatant lie, it's impossible. I've pvp'd plenty there's no way I could pull that even if every single ability was a crit. Plus you wouldn't have any PvP gear at that point, or access to the best stims. Either you were already down in health or someone else was ganging up with you.
  17. Blatant overexaggeration here, thoughts from a scoundrel. As a 49 if I pull out of stealth with a flechette'd shoot first on a level 20 in a BG it would still take me more than 3 seconds with maximum burst to kill the player (this is in no pvp gear). The only time this would happen is if an op/scoundrel in full PvP gear went balls out on a level <20 in a BG. In that case, what do you expect? You don't stand a chance anyway. Trying this on anyone with a modicum amount of PvP gear would take 15 seconds at least to take them down, and you'd be basically shot in terms of health/cooldowns/etc. at that point. If somethings broken it should be fixed but the example you just provided is blatantly wrong. In a fair match up I've found fights to be pretty balanced even if I get the opener out of stealth.
  18. This may be the dumbest post I've ever read, certainly in these forums, and perhaps on the internet. A tiny minority of those 1 million read the forums and then a minority of those post, a minority of which would take the time to do a survey. 500 is a perfectly large sample to be statistically relevant and the people that didn't or wouldn't take the survey are more likely to be in favor of dual spec as they likely play more casually and enjoy these convenience features. In short, never post again, just embarrassing.
  19. Normally I don't like to comment but, dear god, your argument has not logic or reasoning at all. Dual speccing helps people (particularly healers and tanks) participate in PvP or Flashpoints/Operations while not hamstringing them in standard solo PvE play. IN NO WAY does it reduce interaction, flash points and other group content requirement the exact same number of player characters regardless of whether there is dual spec or not. This is purely a convenience feature for people that prefer healing in a group environment but want to do dailies and other solo content quickly without needing a DPS specced player to help them. And yes, this game was designed so that your spec is meaningful for what you intend to do. The choices aren't as meaningful as in WoW but you can't heal endgame flash points while in a DPS spec and you can't be as effective in PvP as a PvE spec. Like it was said earlier in this thread, the only reason people are against dual spec is they're holding on to this antiquated notion that old school MMOs were great. Games evolve, things change for the better. Camping a rare mob spawn for 36 hours so you could get that bright steel shield in Crushbone Keep WASN'T FUN no matter how many times you try to tell yourself it was. Get out of the past and accept that these features make the game better.
  20. Definitely agree with your point that the items should be introduced as a quest to make new players aware of what they are and generally what's expected for people to find them. That said, I like them as implemented. It's a fun diversion from the normal quest line and feels pretty good once you track all the datacrons on a planet down.
  21. This one was a pain in the ***, but basically after exiting the taxi in the industrial district run LEFT (not right) to an area that you didn't quest through. There will be an elevator there that takes you up a floor, run to the west exit of that area and you'll end up in network security district. Make sure you have the key from the incinerator datacron before going for that one as you'll need it to unlock the device holding it (made that mistake my first time). Best I can do for directions, sorry!
  22. Why would they give you two weeks compensation for something that's, at maximum, inconvenienced you by 2 or 3 days?
  23. I've been healing flash points and instanced quests from 15-28 as a DPS specced scoundrel so you do have the toolkit. It's more about being cautious, tranq a gold star mob at the start of a pull, keep pugnacity up and alternate between underworld medicine and diagnostic scan. Also, I hear it gets much easier once you have time release med-pac, which is one of the best heals in the game. Keep at it!
