  1. No one mentioned the different side of the force, we are talking solely based on the actions of the faction as a whole. Dark side and light side have no business in this discussion. This isn't entirely true. No one here has even mentioned the force in the multiple reasons that were given for The Empire's evilness. No, we've proved it by using facts and the actions of the faction as a whole. Now ofc the Empire isn't all bad, but it certainly isn't even close to not being bad.
  2. Same. Sometimes I'm like am I the crazy one? At least we won't lose our minds alone.
  3. I completely agree with you here, as well. What I mainly don't understand is why a lot of imperial players think like this. Honestly, I love the Empire, but I love it for what it really is. I don't try to justify what the Empire does, all of my dark side imperial characters realize what the Empire is and they stand behind those morals.
  4. I totally understand this. I'm now playing the Imperial agent story for the 5th time and I'm still finding new ways to shut Darth Jadus up, so hey that's pretty awesome. Also, it's truly incredible how much freedom of choice the story gives you.
  5. Pretty much this. I see a lot of people that consider this choice, by thinking who helped them during KOTET, but in my opinion, you should make this choice based on which faction would your character want to rule the galaxy (since the Alliance isn't an option now). My advice to the OP is to consider which faction your character identifies the most with.
  6. Honestly, I don't think there is any point in continuing this conversation since we are obviously in two different sides of it. I mean I keep repeating the points I'm trying to make, and you basically just ignore them and keep trying to prove that evil is subjective, which I totally agree with. However, I don't agree with the suggestion that the Republic is the lesser evil, instead of the good guys. IMHO the Republic are the good guys, but unfortunately, have quite a few bad apples. In my opinion, what makes the Republic the good guys are the noble ideals that the government is based on and the fact that most members try to uphold them. The Empire, however, has corrupted ideals and most of its members uphold those very same ideals, knowingly. To consider the Republic a lesser evil, I would have to consider them evil, which I don't, for the same reasons I've stated since the beginning of this thread.
  7. I do agree that I got a bit carried away and got a bit too generous. Also, when I was talking about the "imperial ideals", I was mainly talking about cases like Senator Barc's, since the Empire would definitely welcome his ideals of slavery.
  8. Implying the Republic is rotten to the core is a very bold claim. Does corruption exist in the Republic? Certainly. However, it has been shown in isolated cases. First with Senator Vanara Kayl and Senator Barc and afterward with the fall of Saresh. You can also talk about Belsavis, but that has as much good as it has evil. Saying that the Republic is corrupt to its core is nothing more than a bold claim and a false one. The Empire isn't "simply single-minded" and without boundaries. "The Empire has literally legalized slavery, speciesism, and murder." They kill anyone they want and do whatever they want without any consequences. And this is coming from someone who loves the Empire. No one here is dealing with absolutes. We all know the Republic has some level of corruption in it and that the Empire isn't all bad. However, "the Republic will never be as bad as the Empire, because, at the very least, they try to do the right thing." And that is exactly my point, the only reason why there even is a war is because of the Empire. The Empire attacked first. The Empire enslaved. The Empire wants to conquer the galaxy. Another bold claim is stating that if you take away the Sith, the Empire becomes the Republic. Without the Sith, there would be no Empire. The Empire itself was made FOR the Sith. There is no way to know what the Empire would become without the Sith or if it would even exist. The reason why the Republic isn't just a lesser evil is that they try to do the right thing and they actually accomplish it most of the time. Players like to say that the Republic is just as bad as the Empire or that it's simply the lesser evil when in reality the only thing they can say about the Republic is that it has corruption. The Empire isn't fundamentally good and is corrupted by certain members, it is corruption itself. All of the "corrupted people" in the Republic are in fact considered corrupted by showing imperial ideals. Most of these so-called corrupted members would have been welcome with open arms in the Empire. I won't talk about the real-life problems, simply because I feel they serve no purpose in this discussion. There is no point in making this political. If you want to give examples, use ones of this universe.
  9. Your whole comment could be reduced to: "It's not fair that I have to work for rewards in the game!!! Pls, let me buy everything with credits!!!". From what I could see of you in this whole thread you just don't seem to want to work for anything, so my advice is to stop playing MMOs, which are based on grinding for rewards.
  10. Companions normally do repeat a few sentences over and over and over, when they're in combat. So, it most likely isn't a bug.
  11. Very interesting. Most of my characters think the exact opposite. Nothing in the story suggests the Empire didn't use the conditioning. Actually, it is heavily suggested that they did use it and made you forget about it, just like when they applied the serum. Regardless, it would have never been a problem if the Empire hadn't implemented it in the first place. IMHO, the Empire is at fault here. It was the Empire who implemented and caged the agent. The Republic only held the leash temporarily.
  12. Well, the actions of 1 former chancellor certainly don't speak for the entire government. Especially because Saresh herself was never a bad guy until Ziost and let's not talk about how out of character she was in KOTFE and KOTET. Also, let's not forget everything she did for Taris. My biggest problem with your point of view is that you haven't really explained why the Republic are the bad guys. The only thing you've done until now and will probably keep doing is giving me the names of certain corrupt people inside the Republic. I can do that too. For example, Senator Vanara Kayl and Senator Barc. And that is exactly my point, while to consider the Republic as the bad guys we have to point fingers at certain people in the Republic and ignore the rest of the government, to expose the Empire as the bad guys, I can simply show you the entire government and its policies.
  13. I personally can't understand how people can say that the Republic is just as bad as the Empire. I mean, I'll be the first one to admit the Republic has an incredible amount of flaws, but their biggest problem is corruption in a government that TRIES to stand for freedom and equality. The Empire has literally legalized slavery, speciesism, and murder. If I had a credit for every time I saw a sith killing an imperial just for fun, I would be rich by now. They don't even try to hide it, they will literally tell you they were bored and felt like killing someone. The Republic certainly isn't perfect, but it will never be as bad as the Empire, because, at the very least, they try to do the right thing.
  14. You say you want to warn new players about what everyone gets and that's fine, both parts should know exactly what each one is getting, before making the deal. As long as both parts are aware of everything, there is no problem in advertising your referral code as long as you don't spam it or do it in the forums. Other than that, it is even encouraged by the devs. What the OP is implying is that even if both parts know everything, it is still a scam, but it really isn't. How can someone be scammed if they know exactly what they're getting and what they're giving? Also, let's not forget that no one ever loses anything. A real scam would be advertising your code for free and not mentioning that there are a bunch of people out there who would give 6 to 7 million credits for them.
  15. There is NO doubt whatsoever that the Empire are the bad guys and the Republic the good guys. I'll admit that the Republic isn't perfect, I wouldn't call them exactly good, more like the lesser evil. However, if we're comparing these 2 factions. The biggest problem with the Republic is corruption and greed, while the Empire has literally legalized slavery, speciesism and basically murder. Sith can kill anyone they want as long as they're not a member of the Dark Council. I personally love the Empire, I think it's super cool, evil and very intriguing, but anyone who thinks of the Empire as the good guys is just fooling themselves. They should just accept and love the Empire for what it really is.
  16. I would personally love Nautolans and the Voss.
  17. Even though I'm pretty sure choosing one over the other won't affect any romances, I would recommend having at least one toon with each if only for the experience, since it is a little bit different story wise.
  18. While I do agree with more conquest planet choices. Planets like Zakuul, Darvannis, and Manaan would be difficult to add, especially Manaan since they have no heroic missions and rampages would be a bit of a hassle. Tython, Korriban and the capital worlds would be amazing, though.
  19. Every time I have reported a bug to CS they have answered in a week or less and either fixed it or told me they would fix it in the next update, which they have always done. I guess everyone has different experiences with CS. To be honest I have only reported about 5 or 6 bugs...so yeah.
  20. I highly suggest you go back and see what you wrote. If you still don't understand why what you wrote was unintelligible then there is no hope for you.
  21. But seriously. What is he smoking? I want some of that.
  22. If the new ravage looks good or not is subjective. What is not; however, is that this change was needed. It made no sense for such mobile melee class to have to stop and wait for a cast animation. I personally loved the change.
