So how do we get different versions of Lana?
Lord_Iurus replied to Xaosage's topic in General Discussion
The dual wield appears to have been something they removed after that demo was filmed. -
Guys, I think there is something GENUINELY WRONG HERE
Lord_Iurus replied to NanerFish's topic in General Discussion
I almost wish I got that just to see it in cutscenes and combat. -
Bioware, remove the PvP from the quest to get M1-4X.
Lord_Iurus replied to NogueiraA's topic in General Discussion
In order to get a widespread amount of awards (eventually, nearly 50 companions) the game wants to reward people who are involved in all aspects of the game. Don't want to do one aspect? Down to 49 (or so) companion options. Dark Side? Down another one. Nobody is upset that Dark Side players lost a companion. I wouldn't be surprised if another companion (Torian, maybe?) requires a certain number of Completed Bounty Contracts. Another might require you to complete an op. Quests like this are all about experiencing the totality of the game and if you choose to lock yourself out of a portion of a game, you are locked out of the rewards for that portion. -
I Feel Heroic (Finally) Because of Companion
Lord_Iurus replied to Cempa's topic in General Discussion
If it helps: I realized halfway through the Arcann fight that it was not supposed to be a solo fight (the companion screen in the corner was gone anyway) but because the story-chosen companion was gathering comp gifts, I fought solo. I was still able to hold my ground and wear him down without needing help from Valkorion. I agree that more even, one-on-one fights would improve the game experience for me. I always feel a little let-down when I'm fighting an arch-rival and I need to fight two-on-one to have a chance. It's a little better when they do two-on-two. -
Statement: Choices that matter= NONE

I thought this was going to be a thread about closeted characters hoping to romance their companions...
-
So, there has been a lot of chatter (myself included) regarding the companions that we have not yet gotten access to. We have access (exclusively, to my understanding) to companions that cannot be romanced. have returned to the game and I don't believe that anybody is really clamoring for a return of the Makeb cast. What we are missing, a lot of people note, are the love interest characters and others with whom they have forged the strongest in-game bonds. There has been discussion of the fact that the Alliance conversations are insufficient for these characters, and Bioware has gone so far as to hype changes in your relationship based on certain events. On top of this, I would like to compare Knights of the Fallen Empire to Shadow of Revan. In the case of both expansions, the vast majority of the expansion would pass with almost identical stories for all players. There are a few cutscenes difference between an Imperial and Republic character, and even smaller differences between classes within each faction, but the story is generally the same. Shadow of Revan then proceeded to give a single mission that was vital to the character's personal history and interests to establish a difference between classes. We have not gotten this difference yet, despite the fact that Bioware is clearly aware fans want their hours of hard work acknowledged. Combine this with the fact that we have not gotten these VIP companions, and I think it very likely that an upcoming chapter (hopefully X, XI, or XII) will feature an in-story reunion with these important characters, and that this is an additional prerequisite for gaining Alliance missions for other characters in this category.

I support this. Especially for bosses with multiple stages. Though I do tend to see the conclusion of the Sith Inquisitor Chapter 3 as a sort of extreme version of this option.

I agree with the devs that the system on the fleet was very complicated. It was annoying for a level 40 character to buy, say, a level 40 helm (chosen from a list of something like 8 helms), then a level 37 chestpiece, level 35 bracers and boots, level 33 main-hand, etc., etc. But with Mastery, they can very easily streamline this in a number of ways. 1. Provide orange, mod-less gear for a small number of comms where the mod vendors in the fleet are. 2. Split the fleet vendors into roles and have each sell multiple levels of gear. 3. Sell Tank/DPS/Heal gear and encourage things such as Outfit Designer (first outfit free would be a GREAT incentive) or switching mods (such as maybe making it a little less bank-breaking to move mods from one piece to another). I'm sure there are other possibilities I haven't thought of yet.

About new Flashpoint system that can kill the game.
Lord_Iurus replied to ArchiduxSilvach's topic in Suggestion Box
Don't Tactical Flashpoints give you additional free healing? Any Tac I've played has always done this, though I haven't played one in 4.0 yet. -
Q&A with Bioware Devs - KotFE, spoiler-free!
Lord_Iurus replied to LadyAdmiral's topic in General Discussion
This still does not explain how to gear your pre-65 characters if you're not a crafter (which F2Ps really can't be, for instance). -
If it is removed, this would ban free to play members from accessing level 60 content. I do think that Amazon should not be allowed to sell a "Knights of the Fallen Empire bundle" that includes Shadow of Revan and all earlier content at a higher rate than they sell the non-expansion (read: non-free with subscription) items separately.

This is largely to resolve an issue that has been complained about, but also to implement another common suggestion: The biggest (and only valid, in my opinion) complaint about Level Sync is that you draw the attention of NPCs that would normally not have attacked you due to you level being too high. This does cause travel time on worlds I am returning to to double in some cases, so I understand the complaint. One way to resolve this would be by having your mount speed affect whether or not you can bypass many enemies. If you are traveling at Speeder 2, you would be able to bypass Prologue level enemies. At Speeder Rank 1, Prologue-level enemies can be sped past; Chapter One enemies at Rank 2, Chapter Two enemies at Rank 3, and Chapter Three enemies at rank 4. I'm having trouble finding the speeder rank levels online, but I would think it fair that Speeder Rank 4 would be 10% faster than rank 3 and be available to level 60 characters.

I don't know if I'm along in this, but the reason I built a Sith Academy on Nar Shaddaa was because of the storyline featuring Rylee and Destris. It would be extremely gratifying to have access to these two characters as Stronghold decorations to greet those that visit. Anybody with me on this?

All gear for companions is visual only, the only items that have been removed from the options are ones that do not affect the visual appearance of the companion. That said, hopefully with 4.0.1 we get this option for the new companions as well.

I've been informed by other players that Ziost is locked out, though due to being unrelated to the story I thought Oricon would still be available.
-
They have ever since I started playing TOR. Your Will, Intelligence, and Charisma are more about cutscene decisions than actual stats. How many players adhering to tabletop rules would be able to take Arcann singlehandedly, resist the combined force of the Dread Masters when 10 levels below them, and seduce multiple Sith Lords? This is not a 4.0 thing; this is a part of this game.

Between Ashara already knowing that I slept with Lana in SoR and the email she sent me, I'm afraid she might have killed herself while I was in carbonite. It would be nice to verify this isn't true.

A request for a more cinematic reunion for old romances.
Lord_Iurus replied to Yermog's topic in General Discussion
Wasn't there supposed to be something where the companion realizes you slept with Lana/Theron and potentially breaks up with you? I assumed that would be a standard cutscene, and if so if you DON'T cheat there should also be a cutscene. -
haha this NPC said "are you dyeing? can i have your stuff?" lmao
Lord_Iurus replied to dvrocc's topic in General Discussion
I really wish there was an option to reply to him. "I will turn this superweapon around right now!" -
Flat out lied about choices mattering? POSSIBLE SPOILERS
Lord_Iurus replied to Ianosm's topic in Spoilers
This is small scale, but I noticed that romancing Lana influenced the conversation choices I could have with Koth (to the point where he straight up turned my character, who is played as polyamorous, down). -
So who DID you start KotFE with?
Lord_Iurus replied to QuadeThirtyEight's topic in General Discussion
I'm currently playing KotFE only on my Assassin. He is the only one who's completed Ziost, which I've been informed (**by another player**) will be locked out once I start. My Guardian is still working on overpowering the speeder boss near the People's Tower, and my Power Tech still needs to wrap up Shadow of Revan.
