  1. Valkorion is not a reliable narrator of events or an honest broker. That should be obvious by now. And he is flat-out telling you he wants you to become a true galactic emperor (for him no doubt...). Anything he does is manipulative, for his own amusement, or both. When he talks trash, don't mull it over. Punch him in the mouth.
  2. Agree. Killing Zakuul Skytroopers is boring. Endless, largely ineffective yard trash. We could do a couple Chapters with less of that.
  3. That's incorrect. Kallig "dies" due to massive trauna after the two ghost fight with Thanaton. Your body is mangled and you were not breathing/no pulse for a very long time, more than long enough for any humanoid's brain and organs to fail. Zash flat-out says you died. That's not touching the end fight with Thanaton where his Force Storm should have reduced you to ash and it doesn't scratch you. Soaking an impalement is minor by comparison.
  4. Senya is a saber expert, having been a honcho in Valkorion's guard since, well, before Vaylin was born. Vaylin doesn't even take the saber seriously as a weapon, down to wanting to fight what can be Lana + a Sith Lord/Jedi Battlemaster barehanded in Chapter III. She still fought Senya evenly for a long time.
  5. A LS Sith Inquisitor still draws almost all of his juice from the Dark Side. Lightning, lethal dots, the ghosts, the pet Deshade...these are not Light tools. Many LS Sith decisions would get you expelled from the Jedi Order.
  6. I went with Resilience on my Sorcerer because that character is supposed to be almost unkillable. Nice that the ability has something in common with its name.
  7. It's Sith meets his native culture. In Xalek's belief system, the tomb is a direct enabler of his father's godhood status after death. So it's not just desecrating a grave. Xalek would have killed the miners even if he wasn't Sith, it's just that being the former apprentice of a Dark Council member made it really easy. - And Skadge is a psychopath who should be - and will be ^^ - executed.
  8. Possible solution - Odessen's "neutral" nature could help Jaesa balance out to "grey." While the Warrior choice to turn her or not is one of the high points of the Warrior's story, neither Jaesa is very functional. So each could be improved by being dragged to a more neutral alignment. None of that is inside info, but if would resolve the identity crisis.
  9. The Knight story is largely disconnected. "Disavowed" or not, a couple of events in Knight Act I really should start the war again on their own.
  10. Good point here. One can easily rationalize that Star Wars does not have the same feudal background, especially with Force users. The feudal origins of Lords all came down to fighting prowess. Natural physical strength is almost meaningless for Sith in the Sith Empire.
  11. Nox is different in that he's all but impossible to kill. Thanaton already tried it twice. One didn't stick and the other - when Nox had reached max power - bounced off. Fully powered and "centered" (not sick, ready to use ghosts) he'd wipe the floor with Arcann. Arcann isn't into Force magic, as Valk brutally demonstrates. Vaylin is another story. She almost entirely fights with the Force, which she can use naturally per her mother. Speaking of Senya, I think she's downplaying her own power a lot.
  12. EA is publicly traded. Statements to shareholders will be accurate on numbers because it's both criminal and an invitation to be sued for massive damages to lie about metrics.
  13. Their standing DPS is at the low end. Relevant for soloing, their burst and mobile/semi-mobile damage is very powerful.
  14. On the one hand, you have the starter planets, which take a Level Sync'd 65 in 208 gear about as much time to solo as running through the territory. On the other, you have Makeb, Voss and some of the ones on Belsavis where it's downright difficult to even complete solo and I could see squisher/less CC classes not being able to do it at all. Not to mention someone who took the free character boost in Fallen Empire and is loafing through the early ones only to be splattered across the floor when they select the wrong item from the terminal. These all give the same reward. This is not right. Stuff like Breakthrough on Belsavis, Static on Hoth and anything on Makeb should give multiple turn-ins to compensate time/risk. The 40+ H4s, I guess if you want to draw a line. Thoughts? Comments?
  15. Some of the Heroic 2+ on Belsavis were barely nerfed down from their pre-4.0 state. Breakthrough for example, where you get swarmed by up to four elites and also have to fight a very hard-hitting Champion thats immune to most CC. Clearing them with an at-level, leveling character solo will be difficult to impossible depending on class/spec.
  16. WOTLK also had Blood Death Knights (and plenty of them...) who could handily tank a boss without outside healing long enough to get it down.
  17. I think the Sith airstrike on Korriban took care of Arcann's needs.
  18. The Inquisitor is already being hunted during their class story for other, more pressing reasons. That's until they kill a Dark Council member in front of the rest of the Dark Council, and pretty easily. No one is going to mess with Darth Imperius, especially since Marr likes Darth Imperius behavior. The Warrior - heavy Light Side doesn't make any sense here because of Chapter III but the Warrior is at first carrying out missions only answerable to Baras (who has other priorities) and then is the f'ing Emperor's Wrath, who is both believed to be carrying out direct requests from the Emperor and is by definition has to be able to kill any Darth that mouths off. Random Sith Lord: "I can sense you dabble in the Light Side of the Force." Warrior: "I can sense you are destined to be in two pieces."
  19. You should find this helpful if you are having trouble with that class/build:
  20. Assorted tests with a 208 Lightning Sorcerer and Level 14-15 Lana including Heroic Paladin killing (see YouTube description for time stamps):
  21. 1. If your class has particularly powerful CC abilities in talents, spec for them. An example is multiple-target Whirlwind for Sorcerers. Most "best build" specs are for maximizing DPS, which isn't what soloing is about. 2. Complete companion conversations to lower your Heroic moment to a five-minute cooldown. Even better if you have completed multiple class stories. 3. Set companion to heal unless you are a primary healer, in which case set them to tank or DPS. Running double DPS is a bad idea unless you know what you are doing. 4. CC the strongest thing in the group and be sure you don't hit it even if you have AOE. 5. Work through everything else in order of least health-most health. Interrupt high-damage abilities and heals. 6. Use Heroic Moment on end-of-mission bosses and things like Knights in Star Fortress. It's now a short cooldown, why not? The extra healing helps and some of the abilities are really powerful, like Legacy Force Choke.
  22. Special snowflakes must have all achievements handed to them. Seriously, complaining about Heroic SF being too hard to solo in entry gear or without Alliance equipment/buffs was the least valid of any remarks on this, even ahead of "I can actually die when leveling now." The leveling story is supposed to be easy (although not braindead). Solo SF Heroic is hard. Solo SF Heroic with no buffs is a pinnacle achievement that you can't get without overgearing the instance and being good. Ever looked at WoW's achievement system? There are lots of Hard Mode achievements, for solo, dungeon and raids. Some of these even for groups are very backwards ways of doing the fight and require being far more powerful (and competent) than it is tuned around. Hard achievements are optional goals. Soloing a Heroic SF is a reasonably hard achievement by design. It's overtly not tuned to be cleared solo at a gear level where you benefit from the boss drops. A 190-200 character should stand absolutely no chance in attempting this, yet some people with that gear level were getting the ultimate achievement of not using buffs because of how overcharged the entry-level companion healers were. Proof it wasn't intended tuning is - besides the horrendous amounts of damage and healing required - that some classes could do it smoothly and some really struggled. Just sweeping through it is not how this works and it's a waste of player and development time.
  23. All content while leveling and intended endgame difficult content. Heroic SF didn't feel hard with Super Lana, even if she was a Level 11.
  24. Concur with this. Sorcerer has all kinds of advantages to chain together and minimize the time anything can actually beat on you. Ideally, most trash pulls barely touch them and Knights spend most of their time chasing them and barely getting through shield in time for the next shield. Ideally. That's not what this should be tuned around.
  25. MMOs can never simulate what large numbers of players do. Even internal test is pretty useless. Mathematically - as in, played to a high % of mathematical potential - the prior companions were massively overpowered and the current ones are close to correct. 4.0.2 are too unforgiving for medium armor, no healing characters, but otherwise okay. How people are actuly doing/approaching it needs large scale evaluation.
