  1. BEST ... NAME .. EVER. I've never seen that, but it's so awesome.
  2. You're exaggerating. No one is asking them to nerf total conquest points received. I was completely happy with the way things were before they nerfed all sources of conquest. However, this small area is severely unbalanced compared to ALL the other sources of RXP and conquest in the game. It's exactly the same as what Kuat Drive Yards was years back. There should always be more than one way to efficiently compete in conquest, earn RXP, etc. Right now, nothing comes close. Such as strong imbalance is an issue. Hence why the devs said it "wasn't intended."
  3. That is a poor example, because you're talking about 1 time objectives that of course reward a lot. But, what about your next alts? KP farming is allowing people to complete multiple alts in approximately 30 mins EACH, not by running content, but by killing mobs over and over and over and resetting and over and resetting and over. This is obviously not intended, and anyone who defends it is simply trying to hold on to their exploit as much as possible. There's no way killing a bunch of mobs should reward more time/vs reward than beating bosses. In this case, the comparison isn't even close. Edit: Respectfully, of course.
  4. I don't think there's anything wrong with grouping up to play with friends. Even if you're a random group of 3 or 4 guild mates, it was never a big deal before. Teaching someone or a few players how to play isn't a huge deal because they're still learning. Now that everyone and their grandmother is on Discord, however, it has become a big deal when premades come into reg matches. As you say, it's just no fun when you're against 4 people than can focus the same target every 3 seconds. I hate it. In PVP, in GSF, it's terrible. I will often call out said players to have them fight me 1v1 or 2v1, and they try it once (they die) and then go back to 4v1 me again. It's funny how bad some of these players are when they're not 4 against 1.
  5. Ah, got it. I don't have the credits to spend, but otherwise, yeah, you're absolutely right.
  6. Any reason for this? The amount of credits you get for the pitiful amount of jawa junk seems to be far less than what you get for simply selling the gear. Unless you mean for tech frags, which I always cap on anyway and end up converting to gear to sell.
  7. I am in several guilds, lol. One is my semi-serious raiding guild, and several others are casual, come-as-you-are-do-conquest-if-you-can guilds. If you decide to come to SS, I can invite you to any of them. You can also ask on the forums for Star Forge, because I know a lot of people here play on that server.
  8. It may not be happening much on your server, but I can tell you that on Satele Shan, it has completely destroyed any kind of end-game raiding. Before the patch, I always ran at least 2 story mode ops a night or 1 vet mode. Now, it's virtually impossible to get a group together for anything, even for the daily group finder one. Everyone is shouting (even in the secret chat channels) for KP farm this and KP farm that. We couldn't even get 2 healers for an EV SM 8-man run despite shouting for 30 minutes. Finally, we just gave up, invited another dps level 65, so desperate, lol, and went to town. I refuse to KP farm, so now I just log in, check the GTN, try in vain to get a group together, and log off. Personally, I highly doubt this is related to conquest only, since it's relatively easy to get alts to 50,000 during the week with a couple of SM OPs runs. I think this is more related for people wanting to grind out that 999 RXP level feat. At any rate, it's bad for the game, just like endless HS runs have done more harm than good.
  9. You can use the search panel, though that doesn't really tell you much. In the search panel near the top left of the screen, type a place such as fleet or korriban/tython/onderon. In the last column, you will see something that says "Character Note" or something like that. If you click that button, you can change it to show "Guild name." That will at least show you the guilds of the people on the list. If you want, you can whisper them to see if they will invite you. As long as you're polite, they probably will. Another way is to ask in general chat on the fleet. However, be prepared for some troll responses as well. Hopefully, someone nice will invite you. You can say something like "Returning player looking for a casual guild." To see the guilds that are most active, it's helpful to look at the "Guild" tab and go to "Conquest Leaders" or something like that. It will show you which guilds have the most conquest points. Any ones that appear on those tabs are fairly active, so they may run activities together. If you're on Satele Shan, I can invite you to a guild, or on another server, one of the other posters here may be able to invite you.
  10. "Those... poor ... people." I love that movie. It makes laugh out loud so much. "ALEXANDER This is it? QUELLEK Yes sir. Marvelous, isn't it? Completely distractionless. ALEXANDER Where's my bed? Quellek pushes a button and SIX LARGE SPIKES rise from the floor. QUELLEK Just as on your home planet, sir. If I may say, it took me three years to master the spikes, but now I sleep with a peace I never thought possible..."
  11. Writer takes out "Script Template for Hallmark Hall of Fame Movie": Plot: A woman named (choose one: Beverly, Karen, Diane, Denise, Laurie, Julie) of (age) has to deal with the emotional fallout of (insert incurable disease, preferably a type of cancer) while discovering her young (son/daughter/dog/other pet) has been diagnosed with a non-fatal but crippling (insert physical condition). At the same time, her husband is (select one for a TV movie or two for a miniseries: becoming paralyzed from the neck down, spending too much time with his secretary, going on a trip to France, losing his job, being promoted at work, filing divorce paperwork, adopting a teen-age girl from an Asian country, discovering the meaning of Christmas). With the help of (select one for a TV movie or 5 for a miniseries: her best friend, 3 best friends, 5 high-school friends and 1 old enemy, a lost dog/cat/squirrel/mini pig/enchanted Chinese toy, her mother/sister/son/older son's new wife), she learns that her body is beautiful no matter what and her identity is her most precious possession. This leads her to (divorce, remarry, fall in love with all over again, shoot) her husband and (accept, reunite with, kill) her (mother/sister/older son's new wife/5 high-school friends and 1 old enemy). Estimated time to complete script: 15 minutes. Note: If you are having trouble coming up with ideas, feel free to use our "Calamity Generator" develop exciting new plot points. Simply choose one of the characters and click on the generator. Quick guide to common calamity pairings: Drama: Combine 1 cancer with 1 childhood handicap. Comedy: Combine 1 weight loss/appearance issue with 1 lost animal. Crime drama: Combine 1 cancer with 1 physical handicap or 1 poison. Romance: Combine 1 incurable disease with 1 natural disaster. Romantic Comedy: Combine 2 incurable diseases (one for each character, never two diseases for the same character, unless one of the diseases is breast cancer). Follow the format for Romantic Comedy, adding 1 skiing accident or 1 car trouble. Action Movies: See crime drama. Do not exceed gasoline budget on tense chase scenes.
  12. Exactly. Makes no sense. Maybe they wanted to make sure no one could imitate Kat Perkins, top five finisher of The Voice season 6. Or maybe Kit Kat bars bring back bad memories to someone. Edit: Turns out kat is a psychotropic shrub in Africa and Arabia. So they don't want players using anything that brings to mind drugs. Kat Usr would be very bad. Better go with So'high Right'now. Lol, crazy.
  13. Biker Rodians From Hutta Not Allowed To Win Babies From Ord Mantell Sold Plenty to the Otters
  14. No, with skipped companions, all the decisions are made for you (at least up to Onslaught.) You can play RoTHC or even chapters from Knights of the Fallen Empire, and you can have fun with the story, but it won't change anything regarding your companions.
  15. I'll have to keep my eyes open this week. I know I saw it drop, and needed on it, but didn't get it. I don't remember if it was Vet Mode, 16 man or what, though, so that doesn't help much.
  16. What you'll find is that the relaxed, casual guilds don't push you (which is nice), but they also organize next to nothing (which is not). They're usually just, "Hey, Sly," you reply, "hey, anyone doing anything?" and silence... lol. If that sounds like what you're looking for, there are a few guilds you can join on Satele Shan that are like that. Ones that are more active usually want you to log in at least once every 3-4 weeks. I know what you mean, because I also play like 4-5 alts every week (when I go story mode to level a new alt, they go to the backburner for a week or so). If you're on Satele Shan, I can help you get in a guild if you want.
  17. That fight is one of the ones it's helpful to actually have 2 players (as originally intended, lol). However, if you have to solo it, I would recommend a Jugg with the "reset interrupt on force leap" utility. The fight still takes forever, but it's doable. Basically, it's dps, interrupt, dps, move away, force leap (which also interrupts), dps, interrupt again, and.. heal (waiting for force leap to come off cooldown). The boss still gets the heals off, but much less.
  18. I saw one drop from an Ops last week, but I can't remember if it was Explosive Conflict, Terror From Beyond (I'm leaning towards this one) or Scum and Villainy (this would be my second guess).
  19. Unfortunately, you can never change your choices as far as companions go. If you really want one of your companions who died during the story (such as Vette or Torian, Koth, etc.), you can use the companion locator terminal near the middle of your base on Odessen. Sometimes, this doesn't work and you have to email customer service, but it's worth a try first.
  20. One thing you may want to try is resetting the mission (can't always do this, but sometimes you can). From the mission tracker, click on the purple mission and see if you can reset it. Another option is to right click on your portrait and choose "Reset all instances." This can help if you somehow logged out or joined another group while inside your instance, which sometimes bugs stuff out. That exact thing happened to me last night during Onslaught. I was on an Imp character, about to destroy something important (trying to avoid spoilers), and I had to take an elevator. Right then, Galactic Starfighter popped. When I got out of the match, I was near a terminal, but clicking it only sent a taxi that left me near one of the taxi terminals. After I reset the mission, everything was fine, though I did have to fight some enemies over again.
  21. I will load the chapter when I get on to see if there's a workaround.
  22. It's a good idea to check out an older guide to the Star Fortresses as well, since I know you're describing the mini boss midway through. After that, things get even more ... interesting when you need to destroy a bunch of consoles. Edit: Forgot to include the link, lol. Here it is: http://dulfy.net/2015/10/21/swtor-star-fortresses-guide/ One thing I will say is to make sure you have your Heroic Moment ability on your toolbar. Even if you only have a few abilities on it, you still get some nice healing back per second. Also, use your companion on heals always these days. Depending on your class, you may not be able to mez one of the knights as people say. In that case, always focus on killing one first. The unity ability is also important, since it increases your damage reduction. Finally, you may want to keep leveling your character's gear level (assuming you've reached level 75) since it gives you valuable increases to your health and damage. There's no actual hurry to completing all the star fortresses, since you can keep going with the next chapters and always come to them later. It's totally up to you.
