  1. Generally packs are only on the CM for a limited amount of time and are then embargoed. They sometimes have sales where you can buy older packs, again for a limeted amount of time. According to tor fashion the Darth Malak can be found in the Enforcer’s Contraband Pack and Galactic Legends Armor Pack. Think it could also be in the gold armor packs cause it's a gold set. But even if you buy any of the packs that could contain the set you want, the chance of actually getting it is rather small. You can check out your collection to see the stuff that is in the different shipments. There is a tab on the bottom of your inventory or on top of your CM window. Then click on the top most thingy on the left side: pack items, and you can see all the different shipments. The do sometimes put specific armor sets up for direct sale, think the malak set was on the CM a couple of month ago. So your best bet is probably to just grind enough credits till you can afford to buy it from the gtn or wait till it's up for direct sale. Good luck
  2. According to tor fashion they were on the voss commendation vendor, so they're probably no longer in game cause they removed all the vendors when they removed the commendations. There are probably craftable boots or random drops that look similar, but it's hard to tell cause on all the pictures I found they were hidden by the robes. Good luck finding some boot that match.
  3. Btw a lot of the "old" armor sets are still in game after some fashion. You can find some on the adaptive gear vendor on fleet in the supply section, other sets or recolors can be crafted. You can check out tor fashion for craftable armor sets. Just keep in mind some are restricted to certain classes and or have a different look on imp and rep side toons. I still get random pieces of orange gear drops sometimes in heroics as well, but not at max level usually. Also in the supply crates you get for doing heroics at level 61+ there are some nice legacy sets, that are based on old raiding gear.
  4. Also I see a lot of ppl on fleet crafting new augments for mats, so if they get a crit while crafing they keep it to sell or use it themselfs. So they're actually not paying for the mats, which explains why they can offer the new augments for way less than the mats are going for. But mat prices are also already dropping on malgus, the charged matter is down to 1.1mill and the encrypted thingy is under 100k. So that would be about 2.3mill for one augment without getting crits. I should have just sold the mats while prices where high, instead of getting new augments for my main.
  5. Like the others have already said, being lvl 70 and stil doing story missons on hoth doesn't necessarily mean they used a boost or token. On my shadow I got to levlel 70 just after finishing alderaan. I leveled doing class story, heroics, pvp, fp and the last bit in ops. I had xp boost and xp armor set on and with the double xp event atm this leads to insanely fast leveling. On my mara I got to level 61 after doing tatooine and will hit level 70 long before reaching hoth. Even without xp event on I'm usualy hitting 70 way before the end of the vanilla class stories. You can even level without doing any class story. On some toons I just did starter planet+coruscant or dk till I got ship, then I leveled doing pvp, heroics and fps. Gets boring after a while though so I'm back to doing class stories.
  6. In fp the gear you get is pretty random. Well it seems like they take your class but not your actual spec into consideration, so any class that could potentialy tank might get tank gear. That you got mostly tank gear is just bad luck. When you do heroics below lvl 61 you get a gear box and you can choose whether you want dps or tank gear box. In command crates you only get gear for the spec you're currently in and that is determined when you open it. So can do ops as tank get like 10 command crates or so, then you respec to dps to get dps gear or the other way around. If you get tokens from ops you can pick anyway which setbonus gear you wanna get. Hope that clears things up
  7. There is no field respec button. If you unlocked it in legacy you need to abbandon current discipline in combat proficiency window (K) and select the new one. Btw it's a character perk so works only for the character you unlocked it on.
  8. No such thing as a ranged tank in game. Vanguard/PT is a melee class even if you have a blaster rifle. Most of the abilities require that you're in 4-10m range of target. Think only your basic attack has 30m range. Vanguard/PT tank is probably the easiest to play, even if you're dmg isn't that great. If you wanna level as tank you can just use a highlevel dps to kill everything. Guardian/Juggernaut tank seem to have higher dps and they have a lot of dcd. I just could never really get into jugger tanking for some reason. Shadow/Assassin tanking is probably the most complicated cause you have to take care to keep your buffs up, which takes some time to get used to. But great tank if played right. If you wanna level in tank spec it also has the advantage of stealth so you can just skipp a lot of trash. Seem to do decent dmg even in tank spec, but think some of the aoe got nerfed way back in 4.0. Our progression team has shadow and vanguard tanking team and they both seem to get the job done, so it seems to get down to personal preferences. At lest for pve. Can't say much for pvp, but encountered some skank tanks juggernauts that were downright unpleasent ugh. Guess you just have to level them all to find the one that you like best.
  9. It's like this since 4.0 as far as I know. They pretty much abandoned this fp, it didn't get the level 70 bolster and you don't get synced down either. They took it out of gf as well, cause aparently it wasn't really popular. You still can go in, but you're doing a level 40 something fp at probably level 70. I always assumed that's why there is no loot, but might be a bug. Either way it's unlikely that they gonna do anything about the missing loot.
  10. I had some armor sets that didn't get added to collections and they did add them for me pretty fast in under 24h. But I still had the whole set on my toon, so they could see I actually had it. It's probably a lot more complicated if you actually deleted the armor set, cause they have to check if you actually ever owned it. Before deleting anything it's generally a good idea to make sure it's in your collection. And in your ticket give them as much information as possible, like which toon it was on, which server and when you last had it. Good luck
  11. Btw the Senya holostatue was a 5 year swtor anniversery reward and had nothing to do with life day. Was on a entirely different vendor with the celebration jawa and some deco. It's just a coincidence that both are in winter.
  12. Don't think that many ppl can craft that set. It was possible for a time to get the schematic by reverse engineering the the then current ops gear. But those that didn't do that way back when it was still possible can't get the schematic anymore and lots of ppl who had it, don't actually play anymore. I'd recommend asking in game maybe in fleet chat if someone can craft it, but your best chance probably is to just get it from the supply crates. You can start farming those crates when you're lvl 61+ and just turn them in whenever you get to Odessen. You can just pick the heroics that give you the military ones. Both the supply crates and the armor set are legacy bound, so you need just one toon that has done chapter 9 of kotfe to turn them in. You might have to open a lot of boxes though, to get the whole set or the pieces your missing. Best of luck
  13. Did you become a subscriber by clicking referal link? If you did, you won't ge access to kotfe or kotet as far as I know. Think you can only replay chapters that you got when you actully payed for sub. You can also try resetting the mission, sometimes things get bugged if you go out of a chapter. If none of the above applies to you I have no idea you just have to wait till cs sends you a reply.
  14. Not sure if it's actually the legacy bay overflow, but all the items from my progenitor legacy bay popped into the inventory of the toon that first accessed the legacy bay on the new darth malgus server. My legacy storage on tre was pretty much full before the merge. Cause my inventory filled up fast, the stuff that didn't fit in it got sent to me per mail. Was mosly low level crafing mats anyway nothing really important.
  15. 1. Longspur Blaze mount, used to be on comendation vendor that got removed with 5.0, needed for gearhead achiev 2. CM certificates 3. Makeb gazebo thingy, there is really no reason to do makeb weekly atm 4. more deco drops in fp and ops, deco drops in star fortress heroic mode
  16. Yeah sounds like the boss doesn't get taken to the fire to get his shield off. You won't be able to dmg him fast enough if he's shielded. If your comp has aggro you need to put him on passive till you get boss into fire, if your solo droid has aggo you are out of luck. But I just luv it how levelsynch get's blamed for everything, like not knowing tactics. Why not just ask for help or tactics?
  17. There is not really mana management cause there is no mana in swtor There is force, energy or heat management depending on class. All 3 healer classes have abilities that give you back some of your energy or force. For scoundrel and commando that abiity has a cd. The sorc/sage ability you can spam, but it gives you a debuff that decreases force generation over time if it's not proced. To proc it, your big channeled heal has to crit, which gives you charges of force surge or resplendence. You can use these charges for an instant cast of your aoe heal or to use your force regen ability without penalty. You can check out: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=918622 for stats and you can find detailed guides for corruption sorc and seer sage on dulfy under 5.0 class guides. Think you might be over thinking it a bit, just pick one and try it out. Level up some, run a couple of fp or sm ops and see if it feels right. Try to keep an open mind and don't be too dissapointed if they are not exactly like your priest. ;-)
  18. I find it hard to make class recommendation cause it pretty much depends on personal preferences. No idea how a priest compares to any of the swtor healers, cause I never played wow. At least for sm and hm ops all healer classes are viable right now, haven't tried any nim ops yet so can't really say anything about that. For pvp I still prefere sorc/sage over scoundrel, haven't really done commando/merc healing so far in pvp but I've seen them do okay as well. All healing classes have raid utility in the form of a raid buff. And they all have stuff like cc, stuns and dcd. Commando have probably the best dcd atm, but they might get the nerf hammer soon. Not sure what you mean with big toolbox, think all healing classes have about 8 or so main healing abilities and also ofc dps abilities, dcd and other utilities. I main a scoundrel healer, so that's what I personally like best. It depends mostly on hots and doesn't have a lot of burst. Scoundrels are probably the best aoe healers, but the group needs to be grouped up for it so it's not always that usefull. Sage is probably easier to get into, cause it's pretty strait forward, but they did get nerfed in the last patch and force managment got a little harder in healing intensive fights. Commando/merc healing has good burst but is probably a bit weaker in aoe healing that the other two. I personally never got into it, but some ppl prefer it over the other two. If you wanna level as healer, sage or commando are probably a bit faster cause they do more dmg but with scoundrel you can stealth past a lot of mobs. If you level as dps and switch later it doesn't really matter much anyway, you just have to figure out what everything does at level 70. Not sure if this helped you, cause like I said it depends pretty much on personal preferences. So you might have to try them all out to find out which you like best.
  19. yeah you get debuff so you need wait like 4+ days to kill it again with the same toon
  20. You don't need the alpha thingie anymore and you can't have more than 16 ppl in the group or it's a wipe. We tried No idea how many you actually need. Think we did it with 3 tanks, 4 healers and 9 dps. We had 2 tanks on the add and 1 one the Pilgrim. Dps shouldn't really be an issue if the dps manage to stay alive. We had some problems with dps not stopping hitting the add in time when they got the debuff, they went down fast.
  21. You're probably a couple of patches behind the current version, so you might have to download a significant amount of data. No idea why the download speed varies so much though. You using landline or wifi? And are you sharing your connection with anyone or downloading anything else? Streaming videos? That said patching often seems to take longer than it should, with launcher getting stuck at 98.65% and stuff. I'd just let it run till it's done as long as it's not completly stuck for days.
  22. If you wanna start doing ops, easiest way is to just join a guild that does sm ops. Usually everyone is on ts, so you get tactics and you have someone to shout at you if you stand in stupid As a dps your role is to do as much dmg as you can, as fast as possible and ofc hit the right target. With adds the kill order is usually weakest to strongest. The ops leader often marks targets with symbols, so the group knows which one should be killed first and which one should maybe CCed. Part of being dps is also staying alive, cause dead dps can't do dmg. Which means don't stand in aoe or in front of boss. Also to help the healers out you're expected to use dcd =defensive cooldowns and your aggro drop when needed. You do have some group utilities like your raid buff and the mara speed buff as well. You should be able to do all sm ops with a mara, but some like rav and tos are easier with ranged dps. The easiest ops atm are EV and KP, so I suggest you start with those two. gl
  23. I've heard it's also possible to merge accounts, but you'd have to contact CS for that.
  24. Easiest way to get into ops imho is to just find a good guild that runs sm ops. Usually you just have to sign up for an operation, so you don't have to waste time lfg and most guilds use some kind of voice com like teamspeak or discord, so ops lead can explain tactics to you. Also someone can yell at you if you stand in stupid ;-) Most ops leader in pug groups assume that everyone already knows tactics, and even if you say that you're new, they might give you the bare min explanation of tactics, if they are going to explain anything at all. Doing ops with guildies is very different and much more fun than doing them in a pug group
  25. The problem that I have with them removing those passes is, that they didn't really think things through. When they planned to do this they should have come up with a plan on what those passes are going to be converted to and what kind of alternative they are going to offer to preferred players in the future. Not this yeah we're maybe are going to do this or that and we're still working things out. Some current subs have been buying those passes, in case they ever have to drop their sub, so they can't really use them now and by the time their sub runs out, the passes are not going to work anymore. A guildy of mine pointed out, that there even might be legal issues, cause ppl payed for those passes with real money.
