Sorry, I'm one of a kind, no clones! And the server is The Red Eclipse. Edit: When I have a bit more time I will update the OP according to current statuses. -
The Black Forge - International progression guild on TRE

Do you need an Anni Mara? I might be interested to join you folks. -
That's what I do already. I really don't care about my command rank. I play with my friends that we all enjoy doing. Sometimes it's OPS, sometimes it's PVP, or FPs. Depends on the mood. As I see it now, everything we do in game can be done with our current level of gear(220-224). However this is only my team, others probably feel different about it. So my advice to everyone, disregard your command rank, do what you enjoy and eventually you will get gears. The rate does not matter at all, I can assure you.

Didn't tried out yet, but I recall Musco stating something like "you'll need 2nd tier gear and at least a level 20 comp to have a chance for veteran mode." It was in one of the livestreams, as well as Eric saying that the content is tuned for a well geared toon with a high level comp. So there's that, why are we surprised?

Only a sith deals in absolutes.

I'm so done. This is just wow. Here's my reaction:

Pretty much this what they are doing, this 5%. As for wasted I can agree with it, however on the scale of stat points and budget in relevance of damage output I would say if one has skills for PVP that 5% wont make a huge difference. I don't see it as a deal breaker... As for swapping, that's what I said, couple of enh/aug and go for it. However I'm not that into PVP so I'll find a way for myself to do this and just go on with it. And we can agree that this won't be THE issue. Or that big of an issue.

First Tait, now you... FOCUS!
-
Some of my friends PVPing with slightly above 100% accuracy to make sure less attacks are going to miss. Personally I didn't tested it to see how it actually works, but I can see some logic behind it. Anyway I would say we might won't need 2 full sets, just some spare acc/crit/alac enhancements and augments that we would swap around according to content. I don't see this as a major issue.

Excellent point. BWA had the golden ticket in their pockets when they started to develop this game. All they had to do is "just make it right". Easier said than done, however let's consider this: successful things aren't those that are first on the market, but those that have genius basis and someone enhances that basis with something that is groundbreaking. That's when success happens. Just look at WoW, it wasn't the first MMO as far as I know, but Blizzard added some massive values that enhanced online gaming. It doesn't matter what they added, but they added right(also in the right time). That is why WoW is where it is now after years being THE de facto MMO. As for SWTOR, BWA tried to copy-paste WoW, they failed, because they haven't added anything unique to it, they didn't respected enough the basis material at all(Star Wars) and they hasted the delivery and wen't live broken, half ready. Doomed to fail from the start.

New Tank in PvE
VegasTheLost replied to Nemisin's topic in Flashpoints, Operations, and Heroic Missions
That's just sick @OP: regarding maintaining threat on boss(a single boss) there is a good rule of thumb(or something worth to consider). After your huge threat generator ability use taunt, so it will multiply your built up threat and will ensure you have aggro. Also depending on the fight, you can use the triple taunt scenario/rotation that looks something like this: heavy threat ability-taunt-some fillers for 6 sec-mass taunt-some fillers for 6 sec-taunt. This will skyrocket your aggro and won't loose the boss. As you can see, with this you will have 18 secs of boss attention and that is a good thing. -
New Tank in PvE
VegasTheLost replied to Nemisin's topic in Flashpoints, Operations, and Heroic Missions
And that myth is busted when once in a while I play with my sniper and on the 2nd-3rd gcd I have aggro(even tho I'm a clicker ). Trust me friend, there are tanks out there who can loose aggro. Even me can do it, I have a couple of beast dps in my crew. However in a seasoned raidgroup it is really a myth category. -

Hi, Please read the "booking process" in the other thread(linked in the OP, or in my signo) and we can make arrangements for both. -
New Tank in PvE
VegasTheLost replied to Nemisin's topic in Flashpoints, Operations, and Heroic Missions
Pretty much everything what Steve said. Your PVP tank gear would be more than enough to get you into PVE tanking. Apart from this, tanking is just how people prefer to play. There are a lot of minor things that can make or break a fight regarding the person handling the tank toon, so you have to find your way. Also just to re-state, group up with your healer friend, maybe he/she can explain specific fights to you. HM FP and SM OPS have bolster, so don't worry about your gear, the PVP set is actually amazing in those insta's, so don't swap them to anything. I presume you're familiar with the class section of the forums, so you can look up TONS of info there as well as on dulffy. This section of the forums is also a great place to look for info and ask questions, people are more helpful here than over at the General section. Good luck! -
Why Lord Scourge, Kira, and Revan must return for KOTET.
VegasTheLost replied to Aowin's topic in General Discussion
OK, I don't get it. Why did anyone at all MUST return? And this goes for the missing comps as well. There was a war, they died, move on. What must return to this game is the massive group content, else is just cosmetics. Except from Kephess. Kephess is king. *drops mic* -
Musco opens 4 crates at level 90+ ZERO set gear

In that case the forums would light up for demanding solo ops. And solo ops are bad. -
What I recap on this is what I wrote before. Crafting. This system, while it is not flawless adds value to crafting and maybe, just maybe adds some meaning to socialize in a guild. There will be a good chance that someone can craft you an item that you need. It might not be BiS, just 1 level/tier lower, which isn't that bad. For example it would be around 10 DPS loss, and it's not that bad. I already told to my friends, to pay attention to crafting and learn the schematics of the mods/enhancements/implants/relics that they cannot use, because others might be grateful for it. See? When we start thinking outside of ourselves we can see that this system is not that bad. So I suggest notify your group of people whom you play often with, to pay attention to crafting, it could come handy. I already told my peoples and I will re-eng stuff in order to craft for others.
