  1. That does make sense and I did try that with the very next MM FP I joined. Straight away the tank and the other DPS left the group. Granted that was probably coincidental. I guess it doesn't hurt to ask before the FP/op starts. Cheers
  2. There are "antics" in the game, sure, I get that... and I, for one, don't care how anybody rolls for loot, but to be kicked from a group for doing nothing out of the ordinary from 50% of the group is just down-right despicable. Abuse, harassment, threats...sure, kick away. I know nothing will come of reporting these 3 guild members will go unpunished and the likelihood that changes to the loot system will also not be put into development so my only option is to put these jerks on ignore and go about my merry way. I just wanted to vent.
  3. I was in Group Finder queue for a little while waiting for a random flashpoint or random operation to pop - far and few between these days. Anyway, a flashpoint popped for "The Foundry Master Mode" and I noticed the 3 other members of the group were all from the same guild - BnX. Nothing wrong so far. After we downed the first boss, I selected need for the loot items and so did one of the other members of the group, a member of the same guild as the other two. The next thing I know it has been put to a vote to kick me from the flashpoint and the reason because I selected Need. The flashpoint was my instance as it usually is and I ALWAYS pass lead to the tank so they can do the ready check, etc. What I would like to see is when a random group finder group is formed that there be a vote as to the rules on loot before the flashpoint starts. If the majority say "greed" only, then the option for "need" is removed, etc. If the majority say "don't care" then there should be no option to kick a person based on loot choices. ...or even just remove "need" or "greed" from the choices and just have "want" or "pass".

  5. I got the dependable achievement for logging in for 28 days, but none of my calendar achievements have been marked off. Still 0/90 for all 3 calendars
  6. I am having this issue, too. I logged/relogged and restarted router and computer and its still broken for me. Just sits there with an empty window and the word "updating" and nothing else.
  7. Hi, I have logged in 28 days and received the "Dependable" title, but I have not received completion for any of the 3 calendars. Is this a bug? Also, the Customer Service Help Request portal in game is broken. Mine just sits there updating and I cannot submit a ticket. I have had to go old school. Regards, Julz
  8. I'm all for challenges, but I have been "camping" at the two areas for the last two items for around 5 hours and haven't seen them spawn. A friend told me that one item spawned while I was at the other location, but it was quickly taken by someone else. All we ask is just for a respawn time nerf to keep it fun. I know I will "eventually" get the achievement, but camping for it has not been fun. I don't know what the aim of having long, drawn out respawn timers is - is it to ensure I resub after my 180 days expires? If that's the case....make it fun, not tedious UPDATE: It took me a bit over 5 hours of on/off camping to finally get the shroom. Gee that was a fun 5 hours
  9. A message to the devs. Look, I like a joke as well as the next person, but can you stop prioritising relics on the Ossus Weeklies? Enough is enough! For the past 6 weeks or so, I have been trying to get a pair of Ossus boots, but all I have received is 6 relics. For crying out loud, please make the horrendous grind for this armour obtainable with credits and give up this ludicrous path of obtaining crystals, which by the next patch will be useless. You know they will, there are several that are already useless already. Just let us grind and buy the armour I need and can actually use instead of these endless flood of relics and gear my toon can't use.
  10. I guess the comps have had enough of being the ones doing all the "hard work" since they were made largely OP in recent patches that they're revolting. Now it's their time to go "afk" while the player does the work
  11. I have found this Discord channel to be extremely helpful in getting many achievements and tips. I have made quite a few friends here and its great to see someone take the initiative to set this up for the community. Well done
  12. Yes I did notice receiving some tokens as rewards from flashpoints. I managed to blow the machine up once, which is a slimmer chance than the companion, but oh, well! It is what it is. Thanks
  13. This year is my first time running the Nar Shadda Nightlife event. Even though its a huge credit sink, being an achievement hunter, I HAVE to do the content. I think I have sunk around 30 million credits into this event and have won the Wraith speeder 4 times. The rest of the achievement items were purchased with certificates as I have not been able to win them. All well and good, but for some reason, the damned Gamorrean Guard companion eludes me. I hear players winning it big all around me every minute. Why do the RNG gods hate me? The event as I understand it: buy Smugglers Luck Chips and play the Smuggler's Luck machine until you get the "Feeling Lucky" buff, then run over to a Kingpin Slot machine and insert your hugely expensive Kingpin chips until you win. As I said earlier, I have only won the wraith speeder and enough certificates to buy the achievement items. My thought would be that if the outer arrow lines up perfectly with the inner arrow, you should win one of the achievement items 100% of the time - just like getting 3 cherries to align in a slot machine spits out all that lovely coin... or whatever it is that gamblers play - I don't know I'm not really a gambler, but time and time again, I have seen this align properly only to win a Kingpin chip. What gives?
  14. So, my 180-day recurring subscription is, what, more like a week with all the updates, server maintenance and fixes to updates and server issues - that's money well spent - NOT!
  15. Thanks for the reply. I have already completed both KoTFE and KotET. The chapter I had open was one of the veteran modes, so I cannot see how this is "as intended" Way to go Bioware! Way to go! Instead of trying to find ways for us to spend credits on lame *** pay-as-you-go dailies on Iokath, spend some time and test this stuff before release.
  16. It was fine for me about 15 minutes ago, but now I'm getting it. I can't seem to get past 109 position. My position always gets higher, never lower. ***?
  17. Sorry if this has already been posted, but I could not find any threads relating to Elara Dorne still missing after patch 5.2.1 and a quick Google search revealed nothing either. I did have an active KoFTE mission on my trooper while completing the Iokath story line and was delighted to see my old flame, Elara Dorne, come back to me. Only she didn't. I chose to rekindle my romance with Elara and reject all other love interests I may or may not have started while we were apart. I logged in after patching to 5.2.1 only to find that Elara is still missing from my companions list. Reading through the patch notes it states: "Players who complete the main story Mission on Iokath while also on a repeatable Chapter will no longer be blocked from gaining Elara Dorne or Malavai Quinn as a Companion" My question is, has this just been fixed moving forward so that any FUTURE scenarios where I have an active KotFE / KotET mission and do the Iokath story line will not prevent me from getting Elara or should I expect her to be restored to my character list for the character I have already done this on. My character in question is my main toon and I really, really want Elara back by my side on this character above all other characters I have. Anyone else in the same situation? Cheers
  18. PvE is not PvP and vice versa - FACT! They're completely different and completely separate - COMPLETELY! - separate instances, separate game style, separate player base, separate mindset. End game gear drops from operations bosses. This is a PvE environment. So, my question is, why would you (the developers, the bean counters, the lady in the canteen, the fricken janitor - whoever it is there that makes these decisions) think that it is a good idea to FORCE people to do PvP as the only option to get the gear they won in an RNG roll from a PvE operation? IMO, this would be no different to me getting paid with a cheque for doing my job in my relatively safe country, but then having to go to war-torn Middle East as the ONLY option to cash it! You wouldn't do it! Nobody would! So don't force me to play a game style I don't enjoy to get the gear I won in a game style I do enjoy!
  19. Cast Spell: "You're trolling for the sake of being a *******"
  20. The fact still remains that EVERYBODY was unaware that these achievements would be reset to 0% at the end of the event. This was never communicated or if it ever was, it was communicated in a very ambiguous and misleading way. The fact also remains that for many achievement hunters, myself included, now have yet another achievement that cannot be achieved UNLESS they decide to run the event again, and then what? Have it reset back to 0% when "DvL the very bad sequel" ends? There is no point AT ALL to display an achievement in an achievement window or log that will never remain anything other than 0% for extended periods of time. They fixed the "Kill it with Fire" bug on Makeb, granted. Treek's hidden and unobtainable achievements have been removed, granted. If I still can't complete any of the Party Jawa achievements because I was not playing the game when they were handed out, then I'm sure everyone who has one and has completed these achievements would be thrilled to have them reset back to 0% and remain that way. The Makeb Weeklies were removed from the game - there is no record or trace that they ever existed (come to think of it, I don't think I receive the Makeb decoration any longer when creating a new character\) My point is - if its unachieveable by way of a bug, it should be fixed. If it's unachieveable because there is simply no way to complete it any longer then it should be archived or removed - not reset to 0% and remain in the achievements panel. For everyone that said Bioware did this right, has only said that because they don't care for that particular aspect of the game, or they only PvP, or they only log in to craft, or they only log in to spin around in a circle on their favourite mount on the fleet, whatever! And that's fine, to each their own, but Bioware went about this VERY WRONG! They have a duty of care to respect all players' preferences in a game they created and with all these wonderful aspects of the game. You add something to an achievement panel - it should be achievable. You add that achievement panel to the Legacy tab - it should remain as an achievement to YOUR legacy - for all time and for all to see - the very definition of "legacy"
  21. Adding my voice here! I've tolerated some of the complete **** you guys have done to your player-base, but this is criminal. When DvL first launched I thought, what?! Another 8 toons, but then I thought, oh, well. Its an achievement - I like doing achievements. its the one thing I like to see in my legacy - my progress. So I slogged it out. I spent real money getting another 2 slots to complete DvL and was so relieved and excited that I completed it 100% Something I was really proud of. I spent a lot of time... I mean A LOT of time grinding that **** out, and wthout warning you take it from me. I was quite upset about the Makeb fiasco - no recognition of having done it and the deco fiasco being not bound. I got over it. I didn't like it, but I got over it. But this, this kick in the teeth, this complete and utter disregard for your player-base is the last straw. Re-instate my achievement or this is the last recurring sub I will be doing. This is garbage and I hate you for putting me in this position
  22. I took my wife and two boys to the midnight screening on Thursday, December 16 AEST. We saw the 3-D version and we loved it. It was a great experience, and on my birthday, too
  23. For a while there, I played SWTOR with my two boys. I started playing F2P until around level 35 and then subbed, and shortly afterwards my boys joined in. I ended up buying them a recurring 180-day sub just like mine. It was great for a while as we had three-quarters of a flashpoint group on hand and if any of us needed a hand with a particularly difficult boss or anything else we could all pitch in - sometimes its not always possible to find guildies or PUGs to help in our time zone and at the times we play. After some time, my boys lost interest with having to "grind" all the time, so its just me now. I would really like to see an option for "family subscription" discount if there are 2 or more accounts from the same billing source, especially since at a time my currency was healthy against the USD, it wasn't too bad, but now one x 180-day recurring sub costs over $100 and I think a "family subscription" option would potentially see my 2 boys playing again.
  24. I just completed the achievement using my Powertech. A kill did not seem to count if I used "Jet Charge" first, but using any other flame attack seemed to count. Any way, thought I would share Thanks for the fix bug-fix team
  25. OK - It must have been 3 lucky crits in a row. I just tried slicing a 4th node on a different planet and only got 1 credit case. I've never been this lucky with RNG
