  1. I just checked:

Yes, the set does have 160 rating armorings that come with it.

Yes, the armorings are removable. (Oddly, there isn't any fee to remove them.)

I had to check because, since the set got moved in my Legacy Storage after the last update, I had to see if it had changed**.

I used that set on the last couple of characters I levelled (in order to get Legendary status). I only upgraded the mods and enhancements, even after getting past 160 rating (to keep the bonus), but eventually switched out the set around level 65 or so.

** pre-update I had 210 rating (green) mods and enhancements placed in the set. After the update the 210 rating mods & enhancements were removed and placed in my Legacy storage as separate items. I simply re-installed them.

Interesting. That hasn't happened to my gear.

EDIT: Actually it has happened to me. I guess it's been a long time since I've tried to mod it.

  2. That's not what I meant, actually. I thought he was talking about mission-reward armour.

But the Vic Pioneer (+XP) set *isn't* a +XP set. It's an ordinary (hideously ugly) set of fully moddable armour (it's *also* adaptive(1)) that comes with a set of 160-rated +XP yellow armorings(2). If you remove those armorings, to make it truly empty, the +XP effect goes with them.

(The original version was 128-blue with only mod and enhancement slots. Using that "empty" meant you still had the effect of a 128-rated armoring with +XP. Somewhere along the way, they raised the rating and converted it to fully moddable.)

    (1) Adaptive and moddable are different things. Adaptive armour adapts its weight to the heaviest you can wear, and that's all it does.

    (2) The stat mix is weird, and you can expect that by the time you are being level-synced to 52 (Corellia, Ilum) or above, your Mastery is NOT being clipped.

You can't remove the armorings from that armor set, so empty is having the mods and enhancements empty, as that's the only thing that can be empty. I haven't seen them anywhere fully modable.

  3. It's not empty. It is fixed-stats gear, and doesn't even have slots for mods.

We're obviously not talking about the same gear. I'm talking about the Victorious Pioneer gear.

    Victorious Pioneer’s Armor Set

As mentioned before, this armor set is an entirely new type of armor set. If you manage to complete the entire set, you will earn 50% bonus experience boost while wearing it. Unlocking the entire set will require you to complete up to Champion Level. You earn the following pieces at the following Levels:

Legacy Level: Helm, Chest, Legs (25% bonus experience)

Valiant Level: Belt, Bracer (+15% bonus experience / 40% total)

Champion Level: Gloves, Boots (+10% bonus experience / 50% total)

The armor set is a moddable set which can be worn at level 1 and is bound to legacy! That means once you have unlocked the set you can freely move it to other characters in your legacy to help them level faster than ever, allowing you to move even faster through the event.

    * Boldface added by me. Quote taken from http://www.swtor.com/info/news/news-article/20160623-0.

  4. * What was the last class content you did?

    * Do you have any purple missions in your log at all?

    * Do you have a plus (+) or a minus (-) to the left of your Class category in your log?

Unfortunately, there is no way to pause your subscription.

There is a lot of other content you could do, like heroics, flashpoints, and pvp. There's story in the flashpoints, so you could do some of those. If you do, many may want to skip the cut scenes. If you note that they do, let them know that you are there for the story.

  5. They have covered this. You need either achievement and they are legacy-wise. But the Hexid reward is account-wide

    Short version, yes it is.

Slightly longer version: A character that you are playing on needs to earn one of the two United Forces Achievements. Those Achievements are tracked Legacy-wide. If you have one of those two Legacy Achievements within the qualifying window, then on 11/28 you will be granted Darth Hexid onto your account, which will be delivered via in-game mail.

  6. Same. Did one just now on Veteran Mode and it didn't count. Have all available flashpoints selected and had the Daily Reward light up and available. Still didn't count. I don't have Crisis on Umbara unlocked. So I guess I either have to do three PvP matches or go run through the Crisis on Umbara just to unlock the last FP so I can then be eligible for the achievement to count when I play it.

Way to go. So for those that don't have everything unlocked, I guess they have to play through to lvl 70 and unlock all the FP's before it will count for them? Or they can just do three PvP matches in an hour and be done with it.

As you cannot do Umbara solo before you reach lvl 70, it's not listed in red for lower level characters. Or in other words, you can get the pve achievement on lower level characters.

  7. I have 24 characters, I didn't lose a single name.

My first character still doesn't have its original name though, but that was because I found out that the name actually is an existing word, which I hadn't heard when I created the character, and it didn't fit the character. So I changed it in a previous server merge by creating a character with that name on the destination server before my character was moved there and thus was forced to change the name. At no charge.

Of course, then I had to change the name again as the Japanese transliteration wasn't pronounced the way I wanted Thus using up my free name change.

Too bad you lost your name But that's life and life is like roses. Sometimes it's petals and sometimes it's thorns.

  8. Though it is not working correctly on the flashpoints. A friend went through group pickup and did 3 different missions on 3 different days and it still didn't credit him with it. Yes he was eligible for the daily but he didn't take the flashpoint group pickup mission but had the other missions.

There seems to be a bug through the flashpoints.

If he's level 70 and hasn't done the Umbara FP solo, it isn't available in GF (the FP is red). Apparently, doing such FPs won't count even though GF says you are eligible for the daily reward.

  9. I get that, but how do you tell if you've unlocked? I can't see anything that says I have, so how do you know when you've done enough to get the comp??

Go to your Legacy in game. Then to Achievements/Events/General/Game Updates and check United Forces: Warzone Recon or United Forces: Group Recon. If you have completed either of those, you have done what it takes to get the new companion.

  10. As the title says. Can anyone help with the following, please?

"Earn the merciless Darth Hexid Companion who delights in crushing all opposition when you complete three PvE or three PvP missions through Group Finder by the November 27th deadline."

Is that per character or for the whole legacy?

Is there any way to check that I've completed the requisite conditions for claiming the rewards?

And, more people on the server means more bottlenecks for the dailies. How will this problem be addressed?

    TIA.

The new character reward is account-wide, not just legacy-wide.

Go to your Legacy in game. Then to Achievements/Events/General/Game Updates and check United Forces: Warzone Recon or United Forces: Group Recon. If you have completed either of those, you have done what it takes to get the new companion.

  11. now its telling me i need 2 do a master or veteran FP or story mode ops to get the companion, I thought it said just 3 pvp or pve events

They are specifying which PVE events will give you the achievement. Story FP is solo, so you cannot do those through group finder. What group finder pve events were you expecting?

You can do 3 pvp events instead, you don't have to worry about the daily reward for those.

  12. It has been mentioned elsewhere, that if the character isn't eligible for all of the FPs in the category, e.g. Crisis on Umbara is written in red and thus unavailable, you are not eligible for the Daily Reward even though it says that you are. And thus this achievement won't update.

That seems to be what happened to me on the first character.

To be eligible for the daily thing you must ALSO let the Group Finder choose freely. If you "disable" any FP, you aren't eligible for the reward.

I am aware. All of them were selected on the first character and the three following characters were things did update.

The pvp achievement is faster though, you don't have to switch characters. You just do the three warzones and you're done.
