  1. They're usually more interested if someone is selling credits than buying them.
  2. There is no harm in waiting to open crates until the new patch hits. Personally, I think all crates opened will have the new patch drop rates and contents, since it would be more trouble/complicated to distinguish and retain old drop rates for crates already in inventory/cargo.
  3. It quite possible Bioware has agreed to long term payment commitments on these servers, so they really have no incentive to do anything since they have to pay for them anyway. And until someone can come up with a solution to guild assets, legacy bank assets/merges, naming conflicts, they will continue to stand pat.
  4. You're comparing fleet populations of East Coast servers at a time when people start going to bed against prime time West Coast 9pm server time. A more accurate comparison would be 9pm EST East Coast server time vs 9pm PST West Coast server time.
  5. If the gtn is important to you, then you must pick JC. Serious gtn buyers have toons on every server, but for everyone else that doesn't have millions on every server, you should have JC and Harbinger gtns to shop from. These two servers have the most cartel pack buyers/openers resulting in more cartel items sold on the gtn.
  6. Take a look and see which server has higher conquest totals. Conquest totals will tell you how much content in both PVE and PVP is being run by guilds. The higher the totals, the more activity. My guess would be JC since JC has two out of the top three conquest guilds across all servers. But I haven't been very active to see, so your best bet would be to take a look for yourself.
  7. Darth Marr. Some of my characters will never continue Kotfe just to keep Marr. Next would be Hk-55 and Senya. Pre 4.0, Treek was the most useful and Hk-51 the most fun.
  8. I would expect to see a sale on Collections unlocks and server slots since it's been a long time since these have been discounted.
  9. They should implement a rule where loot rules cannot be changed without a majority vote of the group. This way, the ops leader cannot suddenly change loot rules to Master loot and then disappear.
  10. Good idea. Even better if this can count for conquest points.
  11. Yep, these new changes to the hypercrates make them no fun opening them at all. With the old crates, even if you didn't get what you wanted, you had some fun opening them.
  12. Ran some heroics on my lvl 65 with full datacron, class, and presence buffs. Not too bad, health got down to 70%, but went ok. Got on another server where I only have two class buffs, few datacrons, and few presence buffs on a lvl 60. It was a different story. Where I previously would faceroll through the mobs, I died multiple times. It actually seemed harder than with pre 4.0 companions. Is it possible this nerf made our companions weaker than before the expansion?
  13. Voss Star Fortress is the hardest one to solo/complete. You need to interrupt his self heal, with two of you, that should be no problem. It's also easier if one of you can taunt the boss to keep him from killing your companions.
  14. They are testing whether cartel armor for cc actually sells. So many people have asked for a direct purchase cc for cartel armor that they are trying it out. If this set doesn't sell well, you won't see many more.
  15. Buy ops/warzone passes and credit escrows now while you can. These can sometimes go for more than 350k, and it's bad to need them when you're not able to buy them.
  16. Yeah, he sounds really weird when you give him gifts.
  17. Whenever I See [ Flirt ] in the beginning of a dialogue choice for a same sex character, I don't even read the rest of the sentence. Not a big deal tho, still have a dozen other alts that can romance Beniko or Theron.
  18. In any mission where you need to loot an item off an NPC, if the area loot setting is on, the item loot may fail to register with the mission unable to continue. The mission must be reset and area loot turned off in order for the looted item to register, and for the mission to proceed.
  19. No bolster in Hard Mode Flashpoint Esseles, mobs are level 65. Players level 60 and under cannot damage level 65 mobs.
  20. Do they even test stuff before they release it? This would have been so obvious if the devs tried the op with players under level 60.
  21. I wouldn't say extremely unstable. More unstable than usual, yes. But not so much that it affects every day play, more of an annoyance once in a while. But JC has not gone offline like Harbinger and Shadowlands both have.
  22. They are both about the same in terms of population, one side may have maybe 5-10% more players at any given time. I play more on Jedi Covenant because I feel it is more active. For example, this past Sunday at 2:20am, Republic Fleet was quiet on Shadowlands with 60 people. On Jedi Covenant, there were 67 on Republic side fleet with calls for a world boss run, lfg ops run, and want to sell messages. If you check conquest standings, you will see Jedi Covenant guilds putting up more points in conquests. Usually, this means more activity in flashpoints, operations, pvp, gsf, since crafting has been made mostly nonrepeatable.
  23. As someone who is a preferred player months at a time, I have to say the preferred f2p system is actually pretty fair. While the game is best played as a sub, it really isn't that bad when you don't sub. I have everything unlocked, and when I want to run ops, I use a pass. When I want to buy something that costs 1 million credits, I use a 600k escrow unlock with a 50k escrow unlock. The answer to most f2p/preferred players problems is learning to make credits. Once you have credits, you can do and buy whatever you want or need. Yes you will have spending limits on credits, but you have no limits when it comes to earning credits. Get lucky in an ops run and win that crafting mat or deco that sells for millions on the gtn. You might even be able to trade it for unlocks to bypass using escrows. Join a guild, friendly guildies will often help you convert that crafting mat or deco into an unlock you need off the cartel or gtn. The no cooldown quick travel, fleet pass, and priority transport was a great change they recently made for all players. It was great that this applied to f2p players as well. Xp and leveling is no longer an issue for f2p. Bioware finally realized that by letting f2p get to 50 sooner, they will need to sub to unlock 51+ content or be stuck at 50 forever. The best thing about f2p/preferred is never falling for pricing scams on the gtn because of the credit cap. You can never accidentally buy a crafting mat for millions.
  24. This game actually gives you a huge chunk of solo play for free. It's really when you want to group or interact with others that f2p becomes really restrictive. If all you want to do is play class stories, you can do so as f2p. They can play all 16 advance classes by making characters on multiple servers. There's nothing as f2p that you need to play the game from 1-50. Lots of stuff you may want, but nothing you need. No f2p player needs to spend more than 200k to play the game. They can own strongholds, have guilds, participate in conquests, run ops and warzones with passes. It's true that many unlocks and passes cost way more than the credit cap, but f2p players that really want them can get them thru credit escrows, guildies, or a transaction broken up in multiples of the credit cap. I have sold a few expensive items to f2p players this way. Yes, once you have subbed, it is very hard to play as preferred unless you have unlocked most everything. But once you have, all you really need are ops/warzone passes and escrow unlocks until the next time you sub.
