  1. In its first iterations it could be implemented to only have the Master part, i.e. the veteran player is scaled down to one level above the younger player. I would be happy with just this as a first step, I can even accept getting loot that I do not have any use for anymore. As long as I get appropriate XP and Legacy XP I am happy to be able to play with friends again that have not leveled as far as I have. The biggest problem today is if I try to help a younger friend with his missions neither of us will get any XP or Legacy XP.
  2. Defeat the boss convincing enough in style and the mob stay away ... that sounds very usefull and also much like in real Life. Of course they will still try to defend if attacked. Could easy be implemented as a character buff with a timer. However one thing at a time, I think the first part should be to make all grey NPC that are to low level to give you XP anyway should just ignore your character like most other games have implemented it. Second iteration of this could be enhanced with fare so that grey NPC cower away from you if you are to high level for them and in the long run the character buff for killing elite bosses with style could be implemented. Would love to have this implemented. I can just see myself be called to a lower level planet to help an old friend with his mission and as I am running towards his location all the NPC are getting out of my way, afraid for their lives. If this is implemented together with group scaling (Master/Apprentice) it would even be better so once I get to my friend he selects me as his master and I am scaled down to one level above him and now all the NPC that was previously afraid of me is challenging again.
  3. When I am not playing SWTOR or LOTRO I still play EVE Online. One of many great features of EVE Online I would have to say is the dual market system. One system for auctions like we have in SWTOR and the other stock-trading like system where you can put stuff up for long time and you can placy buy orders. I am a strong beliver in that all stackable loot/stuff should be moved to a marketplace more like the one in EVE Online where you can have orders running for months. I especially like the history of a particular thing so I as a crafter can put a reasonable price on my stuff based on supply and demand. Do not get me wrong, the auction system is still needed and should be left as it is but more focused on rare and unique stuff.
  4. Many other games call this global friend. I love the idea of being able to add my in real life friends as legacy friends. That way I can chat with them regardless of what character they are logged in with for the moment. However legacy friend needs to be a mutual agreement to stop greefers and harassers. But by asking for permissions to add a friend as legacy friend you get around many of the problems raised in this and other threads. Legacy friend together with group scaling system (Master/Apprentice) and a legacy bank/cargo would be a very much appriciated addition to this game.
  5. Any word from Bioware why this group scaling is not already in the game? I am loosing friends to other games all the time because we are not able to run missions together anymore. You all know how it gets, real life gets in the way and some friends just have more time to play than others and therefore levels faster than others. I tried for a time to have different characters at different levels so I could change depending on who among my friends where playing and on what level they where. But that works only to a limit. With a Master/Apprentice system where the group is scaled up/down depending on the mission or group leader would be much appreciated. That way I can play with my favorite character regardless of the level my friends have and we would still have fun running missions together helping each other out.
  6. In many games I have played when my character levels beoynd the NPC and they no longer gives you XP anymore they stop attacking you. In some games they even acts as afraid of you and try to avoid confrontation (they will still try to defend themselfs if attacked). Having grey NPC attacking your character without even a chance of success is pointless. If they stopped attacking veteran players it would benefit the younger players since they do not have to wait for them to respawn.
  7. I think one problem why this has not been introduced already is the looting system. Today the loot is dropped for the Party and therefore scaled for the mission. For scaling characters to down or up, the loot must be split into private loot system. One way of solving this is to introduce private loot as a choice when grouping in a party. That way it is up to the group if they want loot at the level of the mission or if they want the loot according to the actual level of the individual characters. A similar system exists in Diablo III (private loot).
  8. Adding someone as Legacy Friend would be very useful, but it needs to be approved on both sides. My suggestion is the adding of the ability to add someone as Legacy Friend and not replace the existing character friend system. There are many reasons for the need of Legacy Friend system, mostly for in real life friends. Another thread on this subject: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=660140
  9. Legacy Bank would be very usefull. When I played LOTRO I used the account storage a lot for charing stuff between my characters. /Signed

  12. I many online games you get friends with a character. In some cases you get some friends that are more friend than others, sometimes you even know them in real Life. In those cases there usually are an option to request Global Friend status with that friend (needs to be mutually agreed on). What Global Friend does is that you both see each other when online regardless of what character you or he/she is logged in with. Even if I would create a new character my Global Friends would see me logging in with the status online so they can start chat with me, maybe ask if I need help leveling up my new character. This feature should work cross rebuplic/empire border. Maybe the name should be Legacy Friend to enhance the fact that you are requesting to be a friend for the complete Legacy.
  13. I would love the idea of a Legacy Bank (Tab). Another thread for this feature request is this one: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=409109
  14. I have to second this feature request. Played LOTRO and used the account cargo bank a lot. Saves you the trouble of having to mail things around between your characters. I think it should be a Legacy thing so it only applies to those accounts that actually have the ability to create a Legacy.
  15. I would very much like to second this feature request. As it is today it is very hard to motivate veteran players to help out new players, especially since if grouped with veteran players the new players do not get any xp anymore. I have played CoH and loved its grouping system with mentor/assist. That meant that anyone could play with anyone, so even if my friend was 40 levels above me he could still play with me on my missions to help me out. Since the scaling is already in the game in Warzones, it should be able to adapt the system to also work outside Warzones.
