5.0 Vanguard was a glass cannon, 6.0 Shadow is not.

Inquisitor and Consular Class Changes in 6.1.1 - Feedback
UltraFlashStar replied to DanielSteed's topic in Public Test Server
Why are Sins mad? Every class is viable in PvE, literally, even Focus/Rage. This isn’t ESO where top DPS is needed to place in leaderboards. Sin were horribly OP in Ranked/PvP. To the point where there was a 85% chance there was a Sin stack in every Ranked match. You’ll be fine in PvE unless you’re aiming for some world record times, and even in that case the small percent that does do this already has multiple class for when the meta changes. You’ll still be able to run MM, Vet, and Story mode OPs on your sins. Stop complaining that you have to combine two brain cells together to play Shadow. -
Game Update 6.1.1 Conquest Changes
UltraFlashStar replied to DanielSteed's topic in Public Test Server
New Set Bonuses? Are they going to be class specific, spec specific or generally specific? Are we ever going to see the Enhancement amplifiers? Nobody is talking about this! -
The enemy of my enemy is my friend. Especially if that enemy was bigger than either of them. Though this is the PvP forum and I’m here to discuss lore.

Of authority set gear not on vendor
UltraFlashStar replied to idonotdonot's topic in Scoundrel / Operative
I’d only use Catalyzed Toxins in PvP, and not in prolonged fights. You’ll run out of energy fast. Single Target in AoE gear I would use Overwhelming Offense or Synox Shots. Planning on testing Escape Artist once I get the mats for it. -
Vote-kick abusing falls under player griefing. If it’s done within reason (ex. Wintrading, AFK, trolling). However, being bad at the game does not count.

I’m expecting maybe one or two very subtle references to SWTOR in the new series. Kinda like how Lucas brought Ilum into Canon from Legends (though SWTOR wasn’t even a concept at the time of Ilum’s creation). Maybe finish up the SWTOR story and close the game, take experiences of what was successful in this game and what failed. Hope EA gets rights or permission to make a new MMORPG (spiritual successor to SWTOR) in the new series.

Yeah I mostly use Viral Elements + a mixture of Aural Command, Periodic Intensity, and Tech Wizardry. I have Overwhelming Offense as a alternative tactical when I’m mostly going for Single Target with some AoE when needed. -
Just initiate a vote kick on a random team member, which prevents you from being vote kicked until that vote kick has failed. And other teammates are not alerted when you initiate a vote kick.

Manage to grab all the pieces except the head. The AoE damage is amazing. Combined with slow on LB and increased LB damage utility. Can easily top DPS in Ranked games by a 200k+ margin. -
Play your way doesn’t exactly mean that each way to farm gear is equal. This was pretty much agreed in when 6.0 came out.

I do miss the Republic announcer on Ancient Hypergates... “Enemy has captured BOTH pylons! Take one back!.”

I hope these are just what they have so far.

Quality over quantity, increasing the reward doesn’t increase the quality of the players coming to Ranked.

There are multiple classes involved. This season I’ve seen Vanguards, Sorcerers, Guardians, etc. All very frequently. Maybe you’re not paying attention to the smaller classes instead focusing on the bigger ones (Scound, Assassin, etc).
-
Yeah, it was as iconic as the Dirty Kick. Scoundrels have lost many cool looking animations, more than the rest of the classes. Blaster Volley, Flechette Round, Shoot First, Freighter Flybly, Crouch, Sabo Charge, Charged Burst...

On the contrary, nobody wants to tell their friends that they did bad during/after a group ranked match. I should know because I had experience with that and shared experiences like that with other gRanked players. A 1-2 seasons ago, actually. You can't really accurately match the thoughts of every player during a match of Ranked. I know people that blame themselves for a Ranked loss and I know people who do hide behind excuses. Those excuses are sometimes true, and some times false. I could go on about it, but I don't want to turn this into a conversation about the mindsets of Ranked players. Now lets finish up with the rest of your post. The reason why people want to have a solo queue is so they don't have to be faced with the constant imbalance supplied by premades. Nobody in this thread stated they wanted to the queues to be easy. People in Solo Regs do understand their class, use strategy to capture objectives, etc. Premades only rely heavily on their teammates to brute force their way through most of these. Why would I need to understand my class if my Tank and Healer groupmates are going to protect me anyways and carry me through fights? When I read your posts all I see is someone who is clearly steamrolling other players on premades then telling himself "I'm actually bringing something competitive to these Solo Players" and then when someone complains about it you hide by "Get better, stop trying to make queues easy, you just dont want to use strategy". Competitive and challenging applies to everyone, not one group of players. There is no competitive challenge for premades. And trying to say otherwise is ridiculous. My last guild was made out of a variety of skill-levels. Each of them by themselves didn't play well. When they grouped up and communicated through voice chat, they never lost a match. When people we're a bit peeved at their premade they used the same excuses "You're just bad", "atleast were bringing a challenge". You're not telling the truth, you're telling your own opinionated truth. Again, why should we be queue'd with people who just want us, not for a challenge, but to steamroll over us? Thinking that's fair is more unreasonable than anything you have said. My tone has been getting more and more tense because the fact that I had to repeat myself over several posts for a point that you're just now getting. "indicative of your inability to care for others and their gaming experience." Ironic. I used the group in queue that was steamrolling their opponents for 4 hours as an example. Premades have always been a topic which has drawn the ire of Solo Players ever since Grouped Players have been allowed to fight Solo Players. Why do think everyone says premades suck. I'm not against the idea of a premade, but I am against premades fighting solo people. It's just an unfair advantage. No matter how you try to defend it. "Sorry, I just can’t get on board with your line of thinking. Your basically saying there’s no place fit grouped PvP in SWTOR in your opinion. The problem in SWTOR PvP right now is not fixing PvP for solo players. It’s how do we get more people PvPing and how do we get them playing together. Because as everyone knows, grouped a PvP is exactly what’s lacking in SWTOR. Maybe we can work on a solution to that and it would make your request a more reasonable one." The above is a matchmaking problem, not a grouping problem. Don't deny that the premade problem isn't a problem that's effecting people's perception of PvP in SWTOR. It's as much as a problem (though not as gracious as MM) in PvP. All in all, I can't get into your mind and change your opinion, as you can't do to mine. No ones opinion gets changed by a couple of words on these forums.

I'm advocating it because why should premades be allowed to roll over solo players. You've proved my point by saying that premades would "die" if the option for having a solo queue exist. By that I mean you acknowledge that solo players dont want to play against premades. Please, work on your reading comprehension. I never said there would be one queue. I said there would be two queues. One that allows premades and solo players together and one thats just solo players. If said two players want to do PvP they would join the One that allows premades and solo players together. Or they could ungroup and hope that they get placed on the same team in a Solo queue which isnt impossible. Premades aren't healthy for PvP either. What's more selfish? Allowing an option for players who want to fight against other solo players, while allowing Premades to fight against both premades and solo players. Or allowing premades to steamroll over solo players because of "friendship". And you never answered my question, why is Solo and Group Ranked separate?
-
Multiplayer just means there are several or more players involved in the game. And I never said I wanted premades to be a thing of the past, I said I wanted them moved to separate queue that allowed both solo players and premades and then have another queue that offered just solo players.
-
There are certain time periods, sometimes by hours, that premades dominate the queue. Yesterday one premade was in queue for about 4 hours. Comparing Solo Ranked to Regs, lol, It gets ignored because it’s a stupid point to bring up. And since you obviously see it as that, let me offer my own scenario. What if Solo and Group Ranked we’re merged into one queue with premades fighting non premades. How’d you think that’ll go over on the PvP forum? Telling people to “having fun and make friends” does magically make people come to you. Sometimes people you want to queue with don’t want to queue with you. Oh, here we go again. The option to premade isn’t going away with two queues. I’ve said this multiple times in my posts. Yet you somehow keep reading over it.
-
You can’t wake up as 10pm in the night, wanting to play a bit of regs. Then have all your premade friends online and ready to play regs at a drop of a hat.
-
If having a solo queue will “kill” grouped PvP then you’re basically saying that nobody wants to play with premades. You keep saying how it isn’t fair to grouped players, but are not considering how it is for the opposing team to play against those grouped players. That’s what they meant when they said selfish. You could counterpoint me, and say: “Solo players aren’t considering the needs of group players. Which is selfish”. Then you have to realize that there was many posts in this thread from people offering two queues: Solo and Normal Warzone (with Premades). If some solo players want to play against premades, more power to them. Forcing players into your meat grinders, isn’t right. You have to consider both sides.
