  1. The AC respec has been suggested many times before and there's definitely a lot of interest in it. I do not think it will happen due to what it may require on the backend of things or they would have done it already. I agree the extra purchased main line content would be nice but the above post is correct about it being a big deal with the voice acting and such. It required something as big a deal as the expansion which does have a tidbit (1 or 2 missions) of the new class material to add that type of content. I think the risk is gauging how it would cost and how much content to produce to make it a worthwhile purchase is a factor. So, the likelihood of them doing that is iffy as well.
  2. Howdy. Trying to work on my Bounty Supply Company reputation. Hopefully, there are others too? Would be nice if any of the Bounty Supply shipments made their way back to the CM. Ideally, the ones in the thread title. Placing a Bounty Supply Company slot machine that can reward rep the way the Contraband one does would also work! Thanks.
  3. Reading the description it says the reputation boosting items come from the Bounty Pack shipment but looking through Collections, I've noticed the items I'm interested in (weapons via rep vendor) come from the Contraband Shipment despite needing Bounty Supply Company reputation and the weapon skins not coming from the Bounty Pack shipment. Is this correct or a typo? Or, do the reputation boosting items come from both the Bounty and Contraband shipments? Trying to avoid buying the wrong packs. Thanks.

    Offhand questions

Hellos. 1) Why do some of the classes that can use offhand shields and generators choose not to equip them? I've inspected several of these players and all of them have full pvp gear but no offhand equipped. Some of these players I've seen around for some time and do well in the WZ games so I know they aren't newbies or trolling. What am I missing? 2) After looking at the offhand pieces at the vendor, I have a tangent question. If the same type of classes which can use both shields or generators choose to DPS, is it possible to use the shield offhand while swapping out the mod and enhancement for DPS optimized ones to also gain the benefit of the defensive stats of the shield for free or is there something I haven't figured? Thanks.
  5. Thanks for the info, Xen. I was referring to starting out with SM but I wanted to see what my options would be once I'd be ready for HM. I had heard about the melee unfriendly nature of the new Ops and wondered if one of the two trees stood a chance once I got there. Guess I'll have to be content with SM until something hopefully changes. Also, you mentioned any spec would be viable for SM as long as you know the class and are in a guild run. Due to my schedule, I usually end up PuG'ing. Which of the two would be the more forgiving mechaincs-wise? Thanks again.
  6. Hey, all. I've geared to the point where I'm ready to start stepping into the new Ops. I just need to solidify my decision on whether to remain Concentration or switch to Combat. I was Watchman from level 1-55 and I'm looking for a change which is why I'm not considering it. Having followed the Fury | Concentration Rotation thread and seeing some of the key class theorycrafters possibly putting together a guide for it, I'm under the impression all the specializations are viable to a degree in Ops? If so, I'd just like to avoid choosing a specialization which will run into a wall and I'd have to switch to be viable when I'm ready to step into HM and possibly beyond. Any advice on which to choose? If both will work and given the current boss mechanics, is there one that is more forgiving or has a slight edge? Appreciate it.
  7. Alrighty, thanks for the advice. I'll try for the Dark Reavers as recommended. One last thing, I'm not really privy to the PvP stat DR's, caps, and such. Is there a guide or spreadsheet I can refer to so I don't bork modding my gear when I get to that point? I mean, I haven't the slightest clue at what point I should trading one stat for another and which path of items to get/mod first (other than getting weapons first as previously mentioned) which is why I had hoped there might be a get "x" amount of these enhancements and "y" amount of these others type answer. If it's not that simple, how do I go about it? Appreciate it.
  8. Isn't that the set which requires ranked comms to purchase? If so, I doubt I'll do much ranked other than the daily/weekly and maybe not even that.
  9. I'll be at the point where I should be optimizing the mods in my gear soon. Assuming full Exhumed Enforcer's set with the same level of offset gear items (168), augs (cunning), comp bonuses, and stim, what are the enhancements and mods I should be picking up with this stat budget? For example, should the mods be keen or artful? lettered or unlettered? Or, if mixed, how many of each? All enhancements of the same type and which? Trying to min/max my gear balanced around the full 168 stat budget. Thanks.
  10. Appreciate all the information. You sold me on going Scoundrel. I would have gone Imp as I've heard my server is what you've described but my friends and guildies are Pub-side and don't have much of an interest creating and leveling Imp characters despite my bribes of cake and pie, heh.
  11. Hello. I want to try PvPing (new to it) and I was curious about the class so I recently made a smuggler. I'm at the point where I need to select an AC. I'm not sure whether to go Scoundrel or Gunslinger? I know I don't want to be Sawbones/healer, if I do go Scoundrel. Any recommendations on which specializations are novice friendly would be helpful too. Thanks.
  12. Oops, I checked but first time using the PM looked like I hadn't received one until I rechecked as you mentioned. I tried your compiled version. Still works the same way I mentioned before. I even tried re-syncing with toggling NumLock on the keyboard manually but no luck. Appreciate the help just the same. I'll try and muck around with it some more to see if something clicks and will post if I get it to work. Otherwise, I'll just have pass on trying to get this setting to work for now.
  13. Hey again, Deewe. I sent a PM. I got the script up and running using your manual install guide. It functions but not quite as how I anticipated. I've elaborated in the PM but can describe here, if needed? Thanks.
  14. Ah, I see. So then, between the current Combat and Concentration, which has less of a "ramp up" time and has an easier time pausing or switching targets? I seem to recall a number of encounters where there DPS stops and reinitiates or switches to a different target before being back on the boss. Thanks for the information.
  15. Yeah, I knew simply pre-3.0 Concentration (Focus then) was mostly used in PvP but there was a good PvE hybrid spec which 3.0 did away with. When I was reading up on sentinels in this forum, I came across a few threads were people said Concentration/Fury looked promising and I wasn't sure if it was in the PvE or PvP context with the changes? That's what threw me for a loop and had me considering Concentration as an option.
  16. Personally, it just feels natural to me using the right mouse button to move and steer with the button held down and stopping with a release. You're probably right about there being some stress but for me it's only noticeable when using both my index and middle finger to maneuver instead of just using the middle one. Also, I experience a significant delay in reacting to stuff in-game when I have to toggle on auto-run, navigate to where I want to go, then toggle off the auto-run. If I can get the right mouse button move and steer functioning on my setup, I'll be a happy camper. All my movement will be facilitated on my mouse and I'll only be using the keyboard for abilities. Just to confirm, I only need to implement the first script you posted to achieve this?...the second script (4th mouse button) is something optional and not necessarily part of it, right? Appreciate it, Deewe!
  17. Hey, all. Since I've created my sentinel, I've always been Watchman. Now that 3.0 is here, I'd like to change my specialization and adjust to it while I level. I don't PvP and I'm mostly focused on OPs. Pre-3.0 I did some HM stuff and at some point would like to get into NiM. I'm not sure which specialization to choose based on my preference with all the 3.0 changes?...Combat or Concentration? I've checked out various dulfy-like sites and these forums concerning the class updates but I'm not sure how to interpret them as I don't have any experience with the other specializations. I'm hoping some end gamers can help steer me in the right direction. Thanks.
  18. Hey, Deewe. I know you mentioned earlier the script can turn the steer function on and off without needing to keep the button held down but is there a way to hold down the right mouse button to move and steer with the mouse then stop when released? I tried getting use to just holding down both left and right mouse buttons but it affects my precision and more importantly causes me strain. Toggling auto-run is okay for general travel across a zone but doesn't work well in FP/OP/WZ's. I have a mouse with numerous buttons which has some key binding and macro software but no matter how I try to configure it, I can't get it to function properly. Is there a way? Thanks.
  19. I created a shadow with PvP in mind. Having leveled a sage to 55, I was looking for more of a melee based experience (also, I was sold on the double-bladed saber) and was told my choices are either Infiltration or Kinetic Combat. I'd like get some advice as to what to expect as a shadow in the 55 pvp scene so I can specialize my character as such learning the playstyle as I level. I do enjoy the stealthy assassin feel but if the tank tree is generally more effective in pvp, I would enjoy it more in the long run. Appreciate it.
  20. I'm pretty sure the person equipped their character with dancer leg items and the short dress type robe/chest. It was black but they could have easily have dyed it. I checked out those two items and they're significantly longer than the pseudo-dress top I saw. I tried matching them with different tops off GTN but still lacked that fluid one-piece type look. Thanks for the response, though!
  21. One that mimics a plain short dress. I saw someone in-game running around with it awhile ago but I hadn't created the character I want to equip it with at the time nor can I remember their character's name. It's similar to Saul Karath's chest piece but without the front center split at the bottom and the officer-type decorations on the top. Any ideas? Thanks.
  22. Hello, I'm on the cusp of possibly making a specialization change. After searching around, I came across the 2.7 DPS leaderboard thread: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=734965 I'm given to understand these are damage simulations on the ops training dummy. I know the actual ops boss encounters affect the outcome due to mechanics and such but how close of an estimate are these sims in relation to actual encounter results? Also, based on the current ops content (DF/DP) and state of the skill trees is there one particular specialization which has an advantage/easier time due to the nature of the current fight mechanics between watchman, combat, and dotsmash? Thanks.
  23. Ok, appreciate the info...would have ended up with something I didn't want!
  24. Hey, all. I'm considering taking advantage of the sale but I'm uncertain if only certain color crystals are found in this series? For instance: http://www.swtor.com/blog/freelancers-bounty-pack Lists blood red and hot orange. Does this mean only those color crystals are found in them or they were added then to a random rotation that includes all previous colors? I'm primarily interested in lime, cyan blue, and charred orange. Thanks.
