  1. If we're talking early game republic stories then trooper and smuggler though each for very different reasons. Trooper - let's be honest, whole ord mantell is a trooper zone, smuggler's just a passerby there. His own story, and ord mantell quests blend together for great start to his story. Also the army doesn't require you to be lightsided. There's even a funny convo with one of your companions about jedi being mentally ill letting enemies go rather then blasting them to bits:) Still it is indeed about serving the republic and going the way they point you to (well duh! You're a soldier not a biker!). Smuggler - i think his story in the beggining is even better then trooper's. You don't get the feeling of grandoise and deep moral dillemas as trooper (since ord mantell is really his zone), but you get the feeling of freedom and it being personal. From the very get go, it's you, your own personal story, and everything that happens next is your own call. This story of all the 4 made me pick most darkside choices without any regrets. Cause i'm not a jedi, i don't defend the republic, and that blaster isn't hanging around my belt for show. When ppl screw with me they get the business end of my blaster and i got not jedi council or generals giving me disciplinary speeches:rak_03:
  2. Here on Red Eclipse i sure don't see lack of people. Often server is under heavy load, so i dunno about others, but keep red eclipse outta that plan please.
  3. Real man heal with cannon! Simple healing: 1. point your cannon at healed target. 2. countdown to (your heal channeling duration) 3. pull the trigger. Either they made a miracle recovery by that time, or were dead to start with;) Either way success every time!
  4. Well when it comes to women poor corso has no defenses it seems (least in early game), but like somone said i'm in the driver's seat and i call the shots, or in this particular case fire them. Sorry corso, i belive in equal rights for women when it comes to capital punishment:rak_04:
  5. That smuggling part didn't sound half bad, hope some dirty money on the side will become available in the future:rak_03:
  6. Gotta agree there. Least some justice in it. Republic ships look like some junkyard initiative on outside but are pretty sweet inside. Imperial ships look worthy of their breed, but inside is not awe-inspiring.
  7. I accually like hanging around my ship...unless it's this. Large/small simple/complex might be a preference. But i chose a SITH, and if anything it's my ship that should have more space, extra rooms etc, because i'm a damned SITH LORD. I don't bow down to people, people bow down to me (or get zapped with force lightning). My companion is a hulking ugly-is-an-understatement killing machine, that wants to kill and devour force users myself topping the list, and i tell him to shut up and know his place cause i'm a SITH. Then all that feeling of power and bad**sery goes down the toilet the moment i enter my ship and find out the character that leaves half the empire quaking in fear gets his flying 5 meters squared of space and he's gotta suck it up. That's jedi's job, sith don't suck up, sith zap with lightning or forcechoke at mere mention of such insolence. Well ok it's a game and they're not gonna redesign it cause i said so, but for me it was a huge buzzkill, when i was just starting to feel the benefits of of the darkside:(
  8. The more i hear about trooper the more i wanna play one. Huge ship interior sounds awesome but i'll check it myself. Heck M1-4x is reason alone to make myself a trooper! Meanwhile my sith assasin will try not to get squished in that sardine can called imperial starship.
  9. So here it is. I get my own, BIG ****** starship to start my conquest of galaxy. The size, the robust looks, the main cabin window, everything just screams "Imperial march with hyperdrive worms!". Then i enter it and find living space that makes cardboard box feel like Backingham palace. Like WTH. On my jedi knight ship might not be spacious, but still there are few rooms , going bit up, down, nice big holochamber.... While here it seems i get a happy 5 x5 meters squared inside my HUGE (least on the outside) starship. I would like to congratulate the new ship interior designer on his sudden promotion after old one gets demoted Darth Vader style:mad:
  10. I vote Kel Dor race for it! The universe needs more Kel Dor!
  11. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LkydI1i23BY the moment i saw and heard this guy i knew i just run into my #1 npc for a long time! Kel Dor for the win and playability!! As for customisation - notice their hands - seems skin texture is also a possible customisation. and those claws! I'm sure glad they're on my side! Least when i play republic chars. As for romance options, well you can give humorous lines instead! Like companions freaked with your look, darth vader puns about mask etc;) Lotsa work? Well..expansions don't get made by sitting around doing nothing, now do they?
  12. I'm not saying i'd pay 2k caretel coins for them (sub is enough if you ask me), but yes i'd sure like to be able to play them! It really feels amiss that we have Twi'lek, but not Nautolans.
  13. Guardians have at lest 3 things going on for them in terms of dps: a) shien form - 12% damage when specced if i'm not mistaken + one focus point cost reduction on attacking skills. That's a huge liberation for all dps oriented guards. It just kicks the crap outta sents juyo and ataru forms anyday. b) ravaging strike - with skill investments it can net you 7 focus per use, plus that 20% armor reduction on enemy c) No matter how hard offensively specced your guardian gets, you still wear heavy armor, and sents don't. Plus that reasy to reach 15% perma armor rating boost in defense tree. I'm not saying guardian's damage is better then sentinels, but they got quite a lot under the hood where you don't expect it. Coupled with clear defense advantage no matter which alley you choose to go into they're the more alluring choice for me.

    server?

I'm accually glad they did. I experienced horrible server lag, like my char suck for 30 secs to 1 min infront of an elite trying to attack it. Shutting server down and getting to root of the problem was the right thing to do, despite inconviniences. After that i finally enjoyed normal play! Thanks maintenance team:D
  15. I beat him with lvl 23 sentinel no aid kits/stims and average gear. That would be impressive if it wasn't on 12th try or so;) But here's the deal for those of you who want to do it like i did on the 12th run: First off Kira's skills. By that level she has both her own version of saber ward and master strike. Be sure to "unlock" them, as new skills for companions are marked as "don't use them" until you tick that nice little green box in the corner ("~" button for viewing full companion skill slot). That's a great dps aid right there Secondly your own saber ward - be sure it's not on cd when you enter the fight. If things get hairy on you, you wanna have it. Also don't forget about your rebuke. It's diamonds in such battles. Third thing was to sneak up behind him when starting fight, so i don't get ragdolled across the asteroid when he force pushes me. There's a path on the left leading behind containers that will let you start the fight nearly back to the wall, which is good in this particular case. Fourth is if i remember correctly he likes to throw you a few hits into the fight, so i suggest using master strike as soon as the ffight starts, so you don't get interrupted and have another one ready when fight nears it's end (be it yours or his). Have your control breaking skill ready for his force choke of the move that forces you face down to the ground (that one lasts a real lot). Force kicking him when he does this to kira is a very good idea. His ranged force projectiles hurt. A LOT. This is why you need saber ward asides companion falling. If he does manage to push you across the room, finger on that saber ward button! Rest is some luck and knowing your rotation i guess. At lvl 23 it was near death battle, but won non the less.
