  1. Do they mean hotdog-awesome lor "lunar landing"-awesome? Because if it's the first I'll remain underwhelmed, and if it's the last I'm calling ********.
  2. Timer doors in spawn at Huttball, Novare, Voidstar, Hypergates have a moving timer on them (the white circle in the middle) that goes from 20 secs and down in 4 parts of 5 seconds. It is visible from outside and inside. You'll notice it most in Voidstar being on attack. He is low on health in the video and is contemplating abusing /stuck to get full health fast by respawning when the spawn doors tick timer is low. In the video it's partly obscured by his upper middle target pane. But if you look to the right of it, you can see a full white circle. That's it. He explains it at 11.50
  3. Premades are a lie, there's only PUGS Through PUGS I gain communication, Through communication I gain strategy Through strategy i gain teamwork Through teamwork my opponents are broken And the PUGGING shall free me.
  4. Oh I would love hidden ratings for a matchmaker to work with. Just as I would love premades only meeting premades. Just as I would love the matchmaker forcibly split a premade in order to create a balanced match between teams if that was what it took. Unfortunetly BW lacks the cojones to do any of these.
  5. Indeed I will. Until Bioware fixes their matchmaker. Or do you truly suggest that PUG-players shall stay and be farmfodder for regstar premades and imba matches? If the lack of matchmaking infuriates enough people, things might change.
  6. Actually not. Some matches are pointless to stay in. When your team is getting utterly steamrolled in Civil War and you know this is going to be the reality for the next 10 minutes, why should you stay?
  7. No, I just din't understand your quirky way of writing sentences. But seeing that the majority content of your reponse are pure personal attacks I see no reason to respond to you further.
  8. Eh, /ignore in PVP does not work like in PVE. All it does is that it ignores the communication for said player. Who is a douche. And douches loses more warzones because now his teammates are ignoring his calls. Don't be a douche!
  9. If I can enter ranked, then I deserve to be there. If I want. And if you hurl abuse at me for either missing a stim or an augment you deserve my /ignore. That will just compund your problem though, as I now no longer can see your calls Harrasment is purely counterproductive. As you might have noticed.

    Dual Queue

Cant be arsed. I'd need to do more than a "quick search" for that. you can 1) Either take my word for it 2) Think I'm lying 3) Do more research on your own Basically, BW got flak from regular players about ranked players leaving midgame. BW acknowledged it was a problem and eliminated dual queue. Why they haven't for GSF I don't know as I don't play GSF.
  11. Well, intentions matter not when the results speak their own language, Solo players gets to be behind in the queue. If that is a fact, then groups are getting preferential treatment and solo players are being second. Simple as that.

    Dual Queue

THAT Is what they said. They didn't like it. BW "cares" about regs. *** do you hink ranked does not provide comms?
  13. Thank you for this verification of a theory I've been having. Solo players are indeed being treated as a second-rate player group. Fewer pops, get s to backfill. We're the expendables.

    Dual Queue

They got rid of it due to ranked matches popping while a player was active in a regular warzone, This meant that players abandoned ongoing regular warzones midfight in order to accept their ranked pop. Imagine your node guard not being there anymore due to accepting a ranked match.
  15. I love the idea but see a few problems 1) The rage will be strong with visible ELO. People entering without augments will get raged on if the team loses and the other team members can see their ELO loss as a "reminder". 2) Queue syncing. Some people will queue sync in order to get into the same match 3) Large guilds (or popular PVP voice servers) will give the team with most people on same voice in a team an advantage.
  16. Easy on. He gave you the reason for that matchmaking. Your prospective tank got a pop, then DECLINED the pop. Then the matchmaker hasitly replaced him with the "next available" option.
  17. I just rolled on a RP server, somewhat by accident. I don't RP actively, neither do my chars have backgrounds. You'd have to roll a char on such a server and ask active the RPPVP'ers. My perception is just that the general population is "more mellow".
  18. My main is the Progenitor RP server. Very little trash-talking in unranked, though some PVP-guild members will treat it as a derpy farming ground for big numbers and ignore objectives. The PVP community is small and stable and that might account for it.. I'm currently been visting The Red Eclipse for the last 2 weeks. I've had one person being a minor douche about his team (though not getting personal). My opinion of him was that it was his 2-man premade YOLO-strategy that was terrible without accounting for the teams structure. My other experience was with one of those big PVP-guilds. A solo-queuing member calling named players on our team to "Get the eff out of his warzone" for being bad. Guess he was bad at adapting to working with 7 strangers on his team. Due to the number of warzones I've played ther I would say those were rare incidents.
  19. I think mostly it depends on the server culture. Probably though, on every server ther will likely be one or more PVP guilds that will have it as an honour mark that their imembers are civil and non-trash-talking. I must admit I have met very little trash-talk on the two servers that I play.
  20. I was just in a warzone where our team had a capable premade mixed in with pretty good pug players too. We dominated the warzone. It was utterly boring and it shut down early due to the other teams players quitting faster than the backfills replaced them. Bioware's design of letting premades meet PUGS is utterly stupid. Diplomaticaly phrased.
  21. Ofc. That should be obvious. Most people will use the any advantage they can get and sportsmanship is aa long-term investment that doesn't pay off in an MMO like this. Remember the days of bubblestun?
  22. No need. I make my own assement of players and use /ignore liberally if people are being insulting or just plain douchy in warzones. Depending on what they say I might even send a ticket. I just wanted to know what you meant by the term "trollish", Also, "leave warzone" button can come in handy when regstar premades are farming pugs, no matter if it's intentionally or not. Regstar premades are like crabs or the common cold. Endemic.
  23. What do you mean by troll-tastic? I'm currently visiting TRE and want to know what behaviour you're referring to.
  24. And this is one of the great faults of being on VOIP during solo ranked. Because even though people are just "chillin'" in the same channel, they still have the advantage of VOIP during a match if they get on the same team. The intention might not be to queue sync, but the result is pretty much the same as a queue sync.
  25. Pretty sure orbs give double value compared to kills.
