  1. Holy crap, so easy once I ran around him and hiding at his side and he stopped the second time and could just DPS him while he did nothing.
  2. I guess I should investigate all threads instead of posting like a whiny noob Deleting the Bitraider folder does indeed work
  3. I cannot patch the game after the most recent patch 09/20/2013. It has been stalled at 46.7% for a day. Nothing on my system has changed so it must be the patch. I've tried repairing the launcher, restarting etc. Is something going to be done about this? Cheers Aaron
  4. Where is Master Strike? Only by far the most powerful attack the Sentinel has.
  5. That's because many of us want a solo game. We were forced onto this MMO because there was no KOTOR sequel. The whole point for us is the lone hero immersion story aspect. We have a life and friends outside the game and want escapism. They should be able to give more of a solo/group balance rather than trying to push people toward group play. I understand your frustration though in a group-centric game trying to get people to group.
  6. Wow, a snarky comment on an MMO forum? Unheard of. We solo players were forced to join the MMO because there was no KOTOR sequel, they should respect this and create just as many solo missions as group missions. There will still be plenty of people who enjoy group missions and choose to do them.
  7. Totally, I've noticed that MMO forums are full of mum's basement dwelling dweebs who get a power trip by insulting OPs. They spend their whole life researching the mathematically optimal settings of each and every game variable and subsequent combinations along with playing the game 24/7. There's nothing wrong with perfecting gameplay but the arrogant attitude displayed indicates a lack of character and maturity. Some people actually have lives outside the game and don't have time to devote each and every hour to the analysis of game mechanics. They should have some respect for OPs who are looking for help.
  8. We're lucky to get interesting game content that helps sell their game? By that logic we're lucky to get 3d graphics as opposed to 8 bit. Stupid people be stupid
  9. I think people are lying on these forums. I'm a sentinel level 51, geared up, as is Doc, and doing good rotations from my research and trial and error, FL, OS, ZS, Cauterise, Master Strike etc, rebuking and sabre warding my *** off, pacifying and guarded by the force and still in heroic 2+ on Hoth and other places I die once per group of 3 in mob fights. I'm sure it can be done without using Heroic moment as it takes 20 mins to cooldown! I keep hearing people say how easy it is but they must be talking about group action because soloing as a sentinel is hard in heroics. If someone has any advanced tips they would like to share about what I'm doing wrong I'd love to hear it, there's only so many useful variations one can do with the sentinel, I can't imagine a different rotation producing a better result but perhaps I'm wrong.
  10. It isn't easy at all when it comes to heroics, I die constantly on some heroics like the Hoth 2+ ones with a sentinel level 51. They just do too much damage. I'm geared up as is Doc (nothing better on the trade network last I looked) I rotate well with OS, ZS, cauterise, master Strike and others along with force might buff, rebuke and sabre ward where possible, pacify as well an guarded b the force when low on health. I routinely have to die once per group of 3 to take them out. I can't see anything I'm doing wrong combat-wise yet others talk about how easy it is. Perhaps you have some advanced tips for me? It's not lack of interrupts because these are mobs who often don't have special abilities
  11. Some heroic 2+s are just too hard for sentinels unless they have uber mega gear with shoulderpads that you could park a sandcrawler on. The heroic "Engineer's tale" was a nightmare for me, I could do it after dying once per mob of 3 or 4 but the damage is just too much, I was level 49 and OS, ZS, Cauterise, Master striking and rebuking and sabrewarding where possible, and force stasis/kick. I ZS when down on focus, I use a medpack when down on health, I then use guarded by the force at death's door (That's a Godsend, saved me many a time) and still I can't stop dying. I had good gear and couldn't find anything higher on the Galactic market in terms of armour and strength/power. I was playing with Doc who was geared up too (as far as light armour will go) with emphasis on power and cunning for healing. Perhaps I should focus on alacrity for healing speed etc, I'm not sure. Has anyone got any advice on how to play as a sentinel with Doc in heroics? Sorry, don't mean to sound whiny about getting killed, like I need a Whaaaaambulance but i really want to improve. Thanks in advance. PS Bioware has produced a great game, I don't care what people say, the scale of it is awesome (I am an MMO noob though)
  12. There are some bosses on Voss that are simple unbeatable. I have a level 50 Sentinel with decent gear (I can't find anything higher in armour, strength and power at the moment on the trade network) I try to fight Krukal Gormak seer for example and my rotations are force leap, overload sabre, zealous strike cauterise and master strike. I rebuke, sabre ward when in can and even used heroic moment. I inspiration and zen when i can to maximise burns. I interrupt with Force stasis and force kick but he doesn't seem to have a special move to interrupt, he just does sooooo much damage and has soooo much life! I have Doc and I've geared him up with as high an armour as I can buy with an eye for power and cunning. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, are these bosses just simply unbeatable as a solo?
