  1. I doubt they will let the player kill him, in fact I'm almost certain they won't. If he will actually die, it'll either be at the hands of a third party, or (which is more likely) as a result of some disgustingly vanilla heroic (read: stupid) self-sacrificial act... And he'll probably take the Gravestone with him. At least such a development would be consistent with the way they're steering the story so far. As for the general uselessness of player choices and the continuous defeats... I don't think this is a dev oversight or a result of the story being tailored to an LS Jedi character (though there is some of that, undoubtedly)... No, this is very much intentional on their part. For what purpose though... we can only guess.
  2. Never pvp'ed with a comp, so I'll take your word for it
  3. Actually, the companions became OP only recently, while I've been playing this game for more than four years already... There was a time when comps had only one role each (or two stances at best) and you had to gear them up every few levels - or you'd end up wiping on story content. As for the "drama" I supposedly wanted to create - you misunderstand. My post, while admittedly sarcastic, meant that there are far more important things for the devs to address in this game then catering to people's laziness (sorry, but that's what it is - how hard is it to click the dead mobs, really?). Like fix the bugs that had been around for years. Or add new content that is actually interesting.
  4. If you want to do ops, I'd suggest you join a guild that does them regularly. There are enough guilds on both Prog and TRE which qualify and would be willing to help a new player learn.
  5. Why not go all the way and ask for Auto-Play option instead... so you just sit back and drink your coffee while an AI controls your character for you.... Then you won't have to bother with annoying little thingies like looting, fighting mobs, or, you know... playing...
  6. With the DvL event and the resulting influx of new players, Group Finder has become a sort of "psycho circus" these days. You can see anything in there... Anything. Like a marauder with only one lightsaber, who does not react in any way when continuously asked about it, and miraculously regains the ability to speak when being vote kicked (he asked why he needs more than one and why we kicked him). Like a lvl60+ dps merc who has no idea he has healing abilities, and (after dying at the start of Sandstorm in Czerka Core Meltdown and watching me kite-tank the boss while healing myself on my lvl37 dps merc) says "they are useless anyway if you are not heal spec" when told that he does have them and should use them if necessary. Like a stealther who outright refuses (in no polite terms) to use his out-of-combat CC for bypass, and aggroes the mobs on purpose so others have no choice but to fight them. This last one is most likely a part of a bigger problem that is starting to plague the GF these days - Bonus Mania. People who, as it seems, feel an overwhelming need to kill every last mob in every last corner of a flashpoint and poke every console/box/lamppost that can be poked, resulting in a Foundry lasting 1.5 hours. "Pull, die, leave the rest to kill the mob group, get revived and click their preeecioussssss" is their typical MO. And when the highest level in the team is 30-ish, that results in A LOT of wiping. And, sadly, fewer and fewer people seem to know at least the basics of their rotation. I've lost count of the times I ended up tanking the boss (in a dps-only group) on a lowbie character (aggro dumping on cd) while the two 65s in 216+ comms gear are spamming anything but what they're supposed to at it. In my opinion, the devs must come up with a way for new people to learn... A tutorial of sorts, perhaps. The game REALLY needs it now.
  7. An overall graphics update would be nice of course, but I'll be happy if they at least allow for more player char appearance customization options in the current character creation tool. I still can't wrap my head around the fact that most species have 9-15 heads to select from but Human species has 24. Why, for the love of all that's holy, is that? - when other playable species (except Sith and Cathar) are basically just a human retexture (with lekku/montrals slapped on in case of Twilek or Togruta) and adding these other heads to their selection is most likely a matter of minutes (I'm sure they share UV-mapping anyway)? Also, face paint... For some reason only human bounty hunters and warriors are allowed these... What exactly is preventing a smuggler from having it? Or an inquisitor, who was a slave by the way - which means he/she can have literally anything on their face, from shoeprint to barcode And is there a reason cyborg, miraluka or chiss don't have the option? So, before starting on the long and winding road to bettering the entire game's graphics, it would really be nice if they corrected the slips of logic like these mentioned above... Since they are making us create 8 new characters for the DvL event, they really could be kind enough to allow for some diversity
  8. Hmm, I'd say it's more likely a Smuggler mission reward then, because I have 3 mercs, created both long before (first one even before Hutt Cartel) and after 4.0, and I've done the whole class story each time... Pretty sure it would have dropped if it was from a BH quest. Even if it's offhand only, I wouldn't miss it
  9. Thanks for the suggestion, but I have the Trickster blaster already. And the TOR-Fashion weapons list does not have ALL models in-game, there are some I've seen that are not listed. Anyways, I have not found what I'm looking for there either - that's why I've decided to ask at the forums. Edit: And I've got the Kingpin's too.
  10. Screenshot -> http://i.imgur.com/JbbcT2W.jpg That's a blue non-upgradeable weapon - a random drop from heroic mission lockboxes. I really like the model and it'd be nice to have it on my lvl65 merc... But I can't find an upgradeable version anywhere, does it even exist?
  11. ^ THIS. Finally someone who sees things for what they are. I applaud you, sir ))))
  12. KOTFE, beginning of the Lady of Sorrows chapter, onboard the Gravestone - the crew gets into an argument about whether Valkorion is good or bad... I don't remember the exact wording, but it was something like this - Koth: "How can you say such things, you don't know him like I do! " Lana: "He was our Emperor for years! You don't know him like I do!" Senya: "Actually, neither of you knows him like I do...." ... *a moment of silence* ... Koth: "...Try sharing a little less..."
  13. /signed. At least give us a blue or green dye that doesn't make eyes bleed.
  14. Everyone here is raising some well thought-out points... However, the explanation is much simpler, I'm afraid : PLOT ARMOR. Meaning - because Kenobi appeared in the old SW movies first, they had no choice but to keep him alive somehow (sometimes in ridiculous ways, especially in the Clone Wars series).
  15. /signed. Definitely. In any case, the lack of body tattoos on Zabrak and some Twileks makes no sense.
  16. Yeah, that's a great idea actually. Would be nice to have that armor as legacy gear together with other Remnants. But knowing BW, they'll probably add it via cartel packs and make it non-dyeable pink - because they can.
  17. Weequay race would be fun. As we already have them in game as npc and even companions (Tanno Vik), it shouldn't be that difficult. They speak Basic and wear regular armor (may not be able to wear some of the standard headgear, but Togruta can't either and it doesn't seem to be a problem). As for them being romanceable by other species, look no further than Hondo and Aurra Sing
  18. I've always found it strange that there are 24 (20 in case of females) head choices for humans, while other human-like races have only 15 (which are all mostly the same for all races). It is logical for some customizations - like hairstyles - to be restricted by lore/immersion, but faces are not one of those. Now that we have the hair options, it would be great to have more faces to choose from for races such as Cyborg, Mirialan, Chiss, Zabrak, Rattataki and Miraluka. So, why not make those human heads already in game available for other races too?
  19. The Dread Masters - basically all of them have cool voices, but Raptus and Brontes are the best
  20. Which comp do you mean, exactly? I only remember Jaesa going from light to dark if you so choose, but what you're saying is the opposite. I wonder if I missed something while leveling my SW.
  21. Possibly tanking/damage/healing, but we can't be sure until actually using this weapon against Arcann. I just hope it's not going to be like those RGB choices at the end of Mass Effect 3, because that was... lets just say Horrible. Come to think of it, KOTFE does remind me of ME3 in lots of ways... alarming, that.
  22. From the look of things, they are not interested in driving people towards raids. Judging by the way they handled old 55 operations, rather the opposite. I wonder if the infamous "exploiters" are partially to blame for that... Since most of them were raiders.
