  1. Malgus' VA was in Dragon Age: Awakening as the Architect (his best role imo), in Dragon Age 2 as a templar knight who helped mages (forgot his name), in SW: Empire at War as Veers and in KOTOR2 as Azkul. Rivix's VA was in Dragon Age 2 as well (Fenris), and had an entirely obscene amount of wood elf/dark elf roles in ESO. Literally like every third elf except Altmer. //At this point he could as well give himself pointy ears IRL and just roll with it.
  2. What if that twilek padawan (the one with the holocron) and her brother are Malgus' kids? I mean, he is well known for shacking up with a twilek, and in SW universe kids from human-alien couples often look alien rather than human... So, maybe Malgus is just pulling our attention away from his kids with all that posturing and 'hints' about Darth Nul? (he didn't have to speak to our characters at all, could've just kept silent as with everyone else - also, the rather childish taunting and monologuing seems OOC for him... would make more sense if it was meant as a distraction) While they are going to use the holocron (which has a list of all force-sensitives, as far as I understand) to form some kind of a new order? And it is rather obvious that Malgus' character and parts of his story were based upon Darth Vader. What's one more similarity?
  3. EXACTLY THIS. I don't even get why we had to go after Malgus at all. The guy broke his chains, as every proper Sith should - I say good for him. Being Empress' personal lightning rod couldn't have been fun. Presumably, if the Alliance is joined back with the Empire - Acina and the Council could theoretically order us to pursue Malgus. But what about if the alliance remains neutral-ish (as mine is)? Can't the MC just say "kriff you, look for him yourselves"? As for what Malgus intends to do in the future - if it were up to me, my SW and his Alliance would just stay out of it. Possibly even help him, depending on the situation.
  4. I have no idea whether my issue is the same as yours, but I can't prolong my sub either - because I live in Ukraine, and our banks no longer allow payment in russian rubles. Why do we have rubles for our region anyway? Could it be changed to hryvnia, or USD at least? Sub is running out in 20 days.
  5. It's more of an "Anakin on Mortis", actually.... Even the lake's the same
  6. Yeah, it's not fixed - still 0% download and stuck on char screen. The only way around the issue (for me at least) is to set the SWTOR Launcher to Windows XP SP3 compatibility mode.
  7. Then get a comfortable seat (preferably behind a really strong rayshield), a load of popcorn, and have fun watching those two trash your HQ
  8. Worst: Imp Alderaan (seriously, can't they make a few more taxi stops? getting from one place to another is hell on that planet.... Every time I'm there I wish the Death Star was built much, MUCH earlier ) Imp Taris (so dark you can't see a thing, and enough debris to keep /stuck command on perma-cd) Corellia (again, having to go around half the map to get to the quest next door) + practically everything introduced in KOTFE/KOTET, except Nathema Best: Voss (the Nightmare Lands/Dark Heart.... I hope they make a stronghold there one day) Korriban, Oricon, Nathema (old ruins and beautiful atmosphere, what's not to like) Darvannis (even though we only see small parts of it in either ops or KOTFE) Tatooine (it has jawas! Also, probably the most iconic world in the whole SW universe)
  9. Keeping Malgus alive AND out of Republic story? I wonder how that's going to happen... Even if you freeze him in carbonite, he'll just thaw himself out on pure stubbornness and go right back to kicking jedi a s s
  10. And why can't the Emperor lead by example? He could lead the army into major battles himself, or at least command them from aboard his flagship. I think he would be the kind of Emperor that's really needed at this particular time, especially after Vitiate (who didn't care one whit about anything except his own schemes) and Acina (who mostly hides away from everything except Council meetings). And Malgus's keen mind and reformist views would do the Empire a world of good. Heck, any of my Imp chars would gladly kick Acina off the throne themselves, just so Malgus can plant his cybernetic butt on it
  11. Yeah, me too. But whether it's him or not, the game writers will probably make him die a stupid death in the end. Or, which is even more likely - they'll make US kill him. AGAIN. Because BW always "needs another boss", no matter the value the npc in question might have to the community at large.
  12. Just that, one of my characters did not get any story mail (from companions/alliance/other npcs) since I completed Iokath (Fractured Alliances) on that toon. Now I've already finished Onslaught and still nothing. All of my other characters are fine, they always get a whole spam of mail on Ossus and afterwards. Tried deleting older mail, waited for weekly reset, relogged multiple times - no change. Not that I care that much about npc mail, but the absence of it can be a symptom of a bigger problem. Like the character's story continuity being bugged/broken somehow. And it's the character I actually did every quest in the game except the Shroud with, just to see where the choices lead to, so ... Would be unpleasant if it gets bugged.
  13. If it's to someone who already defeated both himself and Vitiate/Valkorion.... I think he could make an exception
  14. I've been having a nagging thought (ahem... conspiracy theory... ahem) ever since I first played the Ossus story.... And it's been increasingly nagging since, so I've finally decided to post it out here: What if the one we see on Ossus and afterwards is in fact not the real Malgus (that one's still dead), but an imposter, controlled by Acina? It would be possible in many different ways, considering the technological advancement of the SWTOR setting - could be a clone, could be someone genetically modified to look like him (like Senya did with Vaylin during the "grand heist" chapter of KOTFE) and possibly even equipped with false memories (like what the jedi did to Revan)... The imposter Thrawn from the original books comes to mind, and the old japanese movie "Kagemusha" (where they had a specially trained lookalike posing as their dead general - in order to avoid a drop in morale)... I wouldn't put something like that past Acina... in fact, it seems spot on her style. She benefits greatly from Malgus's name and reputation under her control. The reason I've even thought of something like this, is that Malgus on Ossus seems different than before - his behaviour is ...strange sometimes, and unlike what we're used to seeing from him in our flashpoint convos and on Ilum (some of it could be explained by his mental conditioning, but imo nor ALL of it)... Even most of his abilities are different now - comparing to the final battle of False Emperor. It may be nothing, but still... Thoughts?
  15. I really can't believe nobody has mentioned Maul yet. Especially SW: The Clone Wars version (cmon, those eyes... and the voice is absolutely to die for). Anyways, of all SW characters that ever existed, he'll always be my top pick - ever since I've read Shadow Hunter many years ago (haven't even seen how he looks yet back then, but still). Others, in no particular order: Thrawn Hondo Cad Bane Dooku (Chris Lee ftw, always) Abaron, Serevin, Vowrawn, Cytharat, Scourge... well practically every PB Sith in the game... I just love that race Malgus (why, oh why didn't we get the option to join him instead of fight him... well, maybe now that he's back... ^_^) Gravus (the darth from Taris planetary, Thana Vesh's master) Zenith Vector Saganu and Yudrass Watcher X Moff Pyron And of course HK-47, meatbags !!!!!!!!!
  16. Noticed some weird things happening this past week, while doing planetary quests and veteran flashpoints. In open world (planets below lvl70 mostly), mobs react as if they were higher level than the character - when the character is, in fact lvl70 and synced down to the planet lvl. What I mean is: the mob aggro range has increased since literally two weeks ago, they have more HP and do more damage. Some mobs that could easily be avoided are now aggroing from a long distance - and even the most common "trash" mobs can throw the character off speeder - at Piloting 5 plus Walker. That haven't happened before, and I know what I'm talking about - I have over 60 characters, most of which were leveled from lvl1 completely through story missions and FP. As for veteran flashpoints - also more damage from mobs and bosses the last few days than it was before. Wiped twice on HS last boss yesterday with a 75 group, because one boss attack got half HP off a non-tank char (and no, we didn't stand in cleave - I mean his other attacks). Also, got thrown off THROUGH the console behind the boss. And it isn't just HS - I've noticed an increased fight difficulty throughout most of the game content comparing to some weeks before. Perhaps it has something to do with the HP drop on level up bug (something is clearly wrong with level sync, since it only happens on synced planets), or what was done to increase the HP of KP mobs? Could it have affected other mobs too?
  17. At least give every plausible race the extra head options Humans currently have. Togruta has those, why can't others?
  18. Why does it matter if the Commander is Light or Dark? Not sure I understand your reasoning. I think as far as Malgus is concerned, all of the "Commanders" are in the same boat (if they did the Ilum story or flashpoints). Whether he decides to "settle the score" or not, well... It depends on the amount of common sense he deems to utilize - trying to kill someone who already defeated him before and also defeated Vitiate/Valkorion... would not be very logical on his part. For now though, considering the nature of the ... trouble... Malgus is having (as shown by the end cutscene of the latest chapter), it seems he would benefit from a certain Inquisitor's expert advice... In exchange for his allegiance, of course
  19. I really hope they don't make Malgus the antagonist again - especially now that he's finally being shown as a proper character, instead of a quest-holder npc or a flashpoint boss. It would be a waste to bring him back only for the same person to kill him again. Unfortunately, the Star Wars franchise has a history of doing things like that.
  20. Same thing keeps happening to me - and with every level up so far, not random. Also, if I have a companion out, my companions's HP drops as well. Died a couple of times already because of this.
  21. /signed They stopped dropping from crates entirely lately.
  22. Some of my guildies are having the same problem. And, judging by the Malgus genchat, many other people too. Is there going to be a fix?
  23. A friend of mine lost some items from BOTH Progenitor and TRE, including his DvL armor leveling and a set of long grinded-for top tier optimized PVP gear. Not all of his items in the legacy bay were lost though (strangely random). The most weird thing is that he had enough space in legacy cargo to merge both without the need for overflow. Anyway, where is that overflow exactly - has anyone actually seen it?
