1. PM inbound EDIT: PM Sent Hope to see you in-game Carley. - Van
2. Not west coast but you're welcome to check us out We're quite mature and have people on at all hours Link info in sig
3. Best to obtain a fresh SWTOR_setup.exe from the website here, you can locate this in your account page on this site, there should be a option to download and install the game. EDIT: Just for reference> https://swtor-a.akamaihd.net/installer/SWTOR_setup.exe
4. You need to: 1) Copy all contents to new drive 2) Reinstall SWTOR (launcher) and point to new location ie: from C:\Program Files x86\Electronic Arts\Bioware\SWTOR to Z:\SWTOR The launcher is configured to scrap the folder contents and compare/match file versions to source location in order to determine if it needs to download a newer build or not. If you don't reinstall the launcher then it won't know where to look/compare. SWTOR launcher has a poorly written return value for scrubbing the contents and telling "you" what it's doing. It returns a value that makes you think it's downloading, when in reality it's simply scrubbing the folder for file revisions.
5. I don't have a FPS issue Generally people who experience issues have out-dated hardware or a poor mix of hardware on a system (I run SWTOR on a ASUS G74SX BBK7 *laptop*, max settings)
6. Absolutely correct To point out if you missed it, they stated for the record that they are not going to give us (the customers) server forums because they feel it'd be a bad idea and they don't have the manpower to moderate it. Really? Cause I could have swore they just racked in millions off of sales, I'm sure they can afford a intern or 2 for moderation.
7. One reason why they are going to steer towards failure..... NO SERVER FORUMS (see sig for details)
8. If you agree with this thread, please help pass the word by adding the following to your forum signature: _______________________________________________________________________________________BIOWARE REFUSES TO GIVE CUSTOMERS SERVER FORUMS (click for more details)
9. As the list grows and the weeks go by, with no official server forums, my confidence in Bioware lessens
10. I agree Of all threads to be stickied, this should be among them. Instead Bioware stickies a thread for people who create their own server forums. Unsat.
11. Due to the current state of the forums I've had to result to "omg bookmark" tactics whenever I stumble upon a post from someone that's on my server, more specifically guild sites.
12. Lies, that's a photoshop You're really holding a box of Cell-Tech But really, I told very few people I was a computer nerd over the course of 9 years in the Marine Corps
13. Only one? Man! I just moved from there, living in Florida now for a new job. Still own my house in Hubert though
14. I was the mayor of Necropolis (renamed to Navarro in the CU). Ran the city for several years till it was swiped from me by a former friend and sold for credits. If any of you grinded in the Squill Caves in Pre-CU, you probably travelled through my city.
15. Excellent feedback folks, keep it coming
16. Which doesn't really make much sense in a MMO does it? You're supposed to (and advertised to) have freedom to do and play how you want. Yet we're all FORCED to follow the quest line in order to progress through the virtual world/s. I don't quite understand Bioware's position on this one. If I want to make a ALT that's only purpose is to sit in a cantina and roleplay for the next 10 years of the game's life then I should be able to and not forced to follow a quest line just to gain access to that location. Piss poor move on Bioware's part to opt for this.
17. Wrong, WoW is dying because it's engine and technology is OLD. Times change, technology changes, people move on to bigger and better things in the game world. WoW is old, everything about it is out-dated by far. You can only polish something so much before the newest model comes along and trumps it. Well, SWTOR is here, WoW has been trumped. Games die because: Engine becomes out-dated Fidelity becomes out-dated Management becomes sub-par Sales lack Public interst and hype lacks SWTOR right now is running into the poor management issue (ie: no server forums, lack of community building, poor guild system), which if left untended will jump to the next bullet point of public interest and hype lowers which leads to lack of sales.
18. Excellent point! I don't know how many times I've thought to myself (how many of these folks use the SAME login credentials as their actual game accounts)
19. Oh and here's my pic, just so this post is constructive http://skylineownersusa.com/images/fb1.jpg - Me with my wife http://skylineownersusa.com/images/fb2.jpg - Me in 2003 days before the Iraq invasion http://skylineownersusa.com/images/fb3.jpg - My crazy desk that's never clean
20. 1st post updated again Thanks for keeping this thread alive folks!

22. Honestly, your type of attitude is what makes things difficult for the rest of the community. Everyone here has made a effort to provide constructive feedback, you on the other hand chose not to. Instead you made this a opportunity for you to gain some attention and divert away from the real subject with negativity. Everyone gets it, there's always a 10% who will disagree. You are among them. That still doesn't solve nor answer the issues at hand. And FYI, it's clear to me that you didnt even read this 1st post because you clearly overlooked the fact that Bioware already responded to this thread. Good job
23. As a support manager I'd be rather amazed if people were not fired for neglecting their support responsibilities. I don't know their SOP or policies but I'd wager they are still obligated to respond to customers. You never tell a customer, sorry I can't help you. You always find them a answer. Cannot, can't, and sorry should never be said. In my area, it's sink or swim. Can't or don't want to do your job then pack your trash and move on.
24. Server forums don't contribute to "attitude", young players do and that's something MMO's will never be able to avoid....that's just life. No one is denying any negatives to server forums, what most are saying is that the positives out weigh the negatives. Not having server forums infact adds more negatives then if we had them. Laid out quite clearly throughout this thread you'll notice great examples of how the current forum layout fails. People can't stand to come to the forum, it's a disaster with a high volume of traffic. I made a great example, and I want you to also think about the analogy, You have a office room that's 30x30, then you have 500 people who have to stand inside this 30x30 space and effectively communicate with eachother. It's roughly the same deal we face right now, millions of customers all tossed into a 30x30 space to talk to eachother. Ever paid attention to the New York Stock Exchange? Try organizing and communicating inside that mad house.
