    • Reduce tax/credit cost avoidance
    • Reintroduce credit sinks as some were removed in the past
    • Adjust inflow in certain repeatable content
    • Use these changes as opportunities to improve the experience while also reducing credits
    • Monitor how these changes impact the economy over time and adjust accordingly if needed

    With the 7.2.1 PTS opening soon, players will be able to see the following adjustments:

    • Quick Travel now has a credit cost associated, with a minimum cost of 100 credits and a maximum cost of 5000. The cost to travel is dependent on the distance traveled.
    • Priority Transport Terminal now costs the original planet travel costs to transfer between daily areas.
    • Travel to Strongholds now costs the original planet travel costs to transfer between planets.
    • Repair cost formulas have been adjusted across the entirety of the game so that repair costs increase in relation to item level.
    • Durability of equipment should now be lost at a LOWER rate on death, but a slightly HIGHER rate in normal gameplay. 

    We ask that players submit their feedback here. 

    While we cannot give a definitive timeline on when the future changes will be deployed, you should expect to continue seeing more changes in future game updates. As always, we will communicate the finer details, the timeline in which these changes can be tested, and when they will go live.

    This is an interesting concept but I believe it should be executed in a different way, if possible. 

    Would it be possible to assess a total wealth value of a specific legacy and have Quick Travel, Priority Transport and Travel to Stronghold holds hit with a progressive tax at certain thresholds? Players below a certain level of wealth would be able to travel credit free where as players with over 100M, 200M, 1B etc would slowly see a small creep up in their respective taxes.

    • We didn't build this boss with the intention of it being on the radar of progression groups. As a boss players can run into in the open world we didn't want its difficulty to be incredibly high. We would love for world bosses like this to be a touchpoint for players to start experiencing larger group content.
    • It is intended that you can use your companion! I know that we block this off for some world bosses but we feel being able to have your companion out, especially in the open world, feels better.
    • This may lead to the fight being easier, or at least easier to beat in situations where players can't get a big group together. That is also totally fine and intended.

    My apologies for not putting out these details as you were giving us PTS feedback. Jackie put this across my desk and I just missed it in the shuffle of everything going on with 7.2. Please keep the feedback coming around Kithrawl and how we have treated its balance as it can help us in the future with any other world boss plans.

    That's an interesting decision. I agree with your philosophy. 

    Does this mean you will be removing the debuffs from the older World Bosses to allow companions to be used? If so, would this include Ancient Threat and ( on certain stacks) Dreadtooth?

  3. Strangely enough, if you attempt to walk off any of the walls in surrounding the Czerka controlled town in the Banthan Drift Hills, you are able to remain in the area for a noticeable distance.

    Not a priority fix but I imagine there's a few benefits in a handful of rare open world PvP situations.

    I may be overly optimistic in reading between the lines here, but that's the perfect time to drop 7.2 and kick off Life Day.

    Honestly, the 20th of December is too late to kick off Life Day in my opinion.

    Only celebrating Christmas 5 days before it starts kills the vibe and restricts the timeframe to earn the 'Life Day' rewards. Last year it was the 14th of December, I would recommend the 13th for Life Day this year. 

     

  5. I killed the Ruhnuk World Boss to test out the changes made on the 22nd of November. I can confirm that I could solo the boss once again

    Observations 

    • It once again remains possible to solo the World Boss with your companion. My previous comments on this remain the same.
    • The damage and health increase is noticeable. The time to kill while soloing has effectively doubled.  
    • It is clear what abilities Kithrawl is using - the changes to the AOEs are visually  impressive and welcome.
    • There remains no adds or environmental interactions as of yet in this boss fight. 
    • As it stands, positioning doesn't really matter provided you're not standing back to the ledge. I would welcome the boss to have to be in specific spots in the area to keep tanking and DPS fresh. 

            Assumptions and recommendations

    • Kithrawl remains to be an easy fight for ranged compositions. 
    • If you doubled the damage he does now, you would only need two player healers for this fight. 
    • This boss fight has potential to be one of the best World Bosses if more depth is added. 
    • Kithrawl could be used to promote other aspects of the game to new or returning players such as operations. I would consider allowing Kithrawl to drop Columi items, or even a lower chance of Rakata at a base level of 324 (no higher) to participating players. This could open the help introduce players to the world of operations and hint the rewards of that content.

  7. I have once again killed the Ruhnuk World Boss this evening to observe the 15th of November changes listed by @JackieKoin the changelogs/known issues topic.

             Observations 

    • It remains possible to solo the World Boss with your companion. While we know the odds are companions won't be used on live servers, this shows us how easy the boss really is. You could replace the companion healer with a fresh level 80 healer. I would be willing to bet that a level 75 healer and a 80 DPS would be enough to kill it for now for the casual player.
    • The damage increase in the last patch is noticeable 
    • Loot is now dropping from Kithrawl as intended
    • It is clear what abilities Kithrawl is using and what they do
    • There remains no adds or environmental interactions as of yet in this boss fight

            Assumptions

    • Kithrawl appears to be an easy fight for ranged compositions 
    • There are containers around the boss arena that the player cannot use - I imagine they will be usable at a later date

    I really want to grind for the furious saber and I am in the process of getting tokens. I wouldn't mind losing them so long as I can still get it in 7.2. 

    The current ranked PvP rewards (including the replica items from previous seasons) are available to purchase with the new PvP tokens. 

    All Ranked tokens will be removed in 7.2 so either spend them and buy the furious items with PvP tokens or earn them faster.

    I've noticed on the PvP Achievements have been totally reworked. The way they have been handled on the PTS implies that these achievements are being replaced or discontinued. 

    As it stands there are now two PvP categories. 'Player vs Player' and 'Classic Player vs Player.'  Could you confirm whether the achievements that are in the 'Classic Player vs Player' section are discontinued or if they will remain as they are on the PTS, still being achievable once the 7.2 update comes round? 

    I'll take this opportunity to also point out that since the 7.2 PTS has been released, the rewards track has kept resetting allowing me to purchase the rewards multiple times. This has led to an unnatural number of PvP tokens gained in a few days time.

    I have fought the new world boss Kithrawl three times. I was able to solo this world boss on my Sith Marauder. 

    The first battle was with a team of 8. 1 DPS geared Sorcerer in heal spec and the rest of the team were DPS in 330 DPS builds. We then attempted the battle a second time outside of a group using the new tagging system, with the benefit of our companions. You can see the fight on the link below.

    Observations

    • This boss is far too easy. The team takes almost absolutely no damage. 
    • The stun ability is notable and is the main source of damage to the player. 
    • There are no phases or adds active on the PTS
    • The boss as is stands can be attacked by companions.
    • The achievement and mission did not complete for all members of the team right away, requiring a second kill.

    I can confirm that deleting topics works similar. I spent some time yesterday evening deleting some embarrassing topics from when I was slightly less experienced on the forums and in life. Many of these topics had multiple pages of replies from people I did not know.

    This is an interesting question. There's quite a few places I'd like to see strongholds in-theory.

    Here's a list in no particular order: 
     

    • Palace of the Dragon of Zakuul 
    • Kaliyo's apartment 
    • Ilum Imperial/Republic bunkers 
    • Korriban cliff fortress with landing pad
    • Tython village & ruins 
    • Dread Palace 
    • Oasis City 
    • Corellia apartment 
    • Ord Mantel fortress 
    • Nar Shaddaa apartment 
    • Makeb Mansion 
    • Mek-sha apartment

    When it comes to making a wish list, I could go on for hours. :jawa_angel:

    I will take this opportunity to remind you that both Jango and Boba Fett used a grappling cable against Obi-Wan Kenobi and Luke Skywalker, stunning both of them. Jango managed to kill a jedi head on in Attack of the Clones. 

    Force users have been seen to be stunned, disabled or outwitted by non-force users multiple times throughout canon and the expanded universe. I very much doubt George Lucas would care. :d_mad:

    I think that's a great idea Anysao. 

    Honestly, I think it makes canonical sense too!

    By the time a player has completed all of the chapter on Master Mode, they would have completed the story. The player would have taken over control of the Eternal Empire until Zakuul became independent. It makes perfect sense for the Outlander, now Alliance leader to have a Skytrooper companion!

    Aurora Cannon is a daily heroic mission in Section X in case anyone wonders.

    Just as Zuhfb has stated, the heroic is designed for 4 players and the missions makes a note of this in the mission title. The stats of the NPCs are not overtuned, there is simply more adds of a difficult nature that you have to fight at one time; this is not the fault of the level scaling system. 

    Previously players were forced into running this heroic with multiple players as there were lazer gates positioned periodically through the heroic instance. Players would need to turn them off while the other player walked through the now empty space where they would do the same in reserve. While this is no longer the case, that content was always designed with multiple players in mind. 

    I would recommend one of two things, either listen to the advise and run through to the add or player on a stealth class which would make things easier. You do not need to engage the Commander champion at the end of the heroic to complete it, you can skip him.

    For the forums only. But who knows what the future will hold! 

     

    A few notes to everyone: 

    • You should now be able to delete your own posts
    • The snapshots of posts that are published in the dev tracker can only show unique text, so quotes and hyperlinks will not show up. This is tied to how the Search function works to build the Search index. You will have to click on the post itself to see it in its entirety. I know this is not ideal, but let me know how you all feel about this adjustment. 
    • There is something unusual happening with Condensed Mode on the dev tracker and the team is looking into it. 
    • Regarding the feedback about the ability to adjust font size and having the ability to switch to a lighter background, those are things we will be investigating. Will share details when I can.

    This is not a functionality that exists. When we enable players to upload media, you will have to upload by the usual means. 

    If you go into your Settings > Security & Privacy and use your SWTOR login or reauthenticate, you will see the option to hide your online status.

    Fantastic stronghold there @Mongorr

    I am a huge fan of the Zakuulan and Onderonian decorations. To see them applied to an oasis looking Tatooine SH is a pleasure. 
    My favourite room is the one you made for yourself using the Sith walls. That looks very relaxing! 

    What server is this on, and is it publicly listed? I'd like to come and have a look around when I'm next online.

    When reviewing the Developer Tracker, it becomes painfully obvious that the original message should be included. The Developer Track exists to consolidate messages from the devs for convivence, having to open the entire post appears to defeat that purpose.

    Forums that work properly on mobile devices. Still rough around the edges, but I like it. Miss the old classic style and this weird orange color is not exactly screaming SWTOR to me, but I like having new features to play around with.

    My thoughts are with you on this. I like the colour scheme, it looks good and it reminds me of Jaffa Cakes but it is weird to see the visual differentiation between the main website, the loading screens and the forums. 

    I would heavily suggest that once the forums are modernised, that they move on and harmonise the colour scheme and design of the main website. The Expansion splash screen for Legacy of the Sith and Onslaught are good examples. 

    The reductionist design will always be subjective however advancing into a mobile age, this is still probably the right move.
