  1. Conquests does, pretty much, lock out smaller guilds, roleplaying guilds, and guilds that are focused on social/levelling activities from getting the Guild Reward from Conquests. A few small, and welcome, changes might be: 1. Guilds not having to place in the top ten on the leaderboard in order to collect the (fairly insubstantial) Guild Reward. 2. Introduce a much bigger and better reward for the guilds that makes the top ten a bigger competition. Only the biggest guilds feel like taking part in conquests is worth anything at all for the guild. A more achievable, and much smaller reward, that gives out a single encryption and lockbox, would encourage the smaller guilds to spend time with it.
  2. I disagree, this is probably the most popular suggestion in the entire sub section. Sooner or later, it'll be addressed as a "Yes" or "No" answer, definitively.
  3. I really hope we're not moving toward a trend where the Empire and Republic are constantly working together... These are avowed enemies, after all. They are completely incompatible (very different philosophies) and since the Empire was gone from the galaxy while the Republic remained, we can only assume that they didn't become best friends forever.
  4. I'm not entirely sure this belongs here, but anyway... So to unlock a deck on a flagship, you need, for example, 5 Command Plans. Each plan is made up of 50 encryptions. What's the best method of obtaining encryptions? Crafting dark projects, or doing conquests? It's difficult to figure out the best way forwards at the lowest cost, credit and timewise.
  5. The discussion about Chat Bubbles is bound to open up again as we head into 3.0. Just as we had a customisation patch in the 2.0 era, it's perfectly possible we could have a social patch over the course of the next year. The devs know we want chat bubbles.
  6. The cause is, honestly, most likely because there's been very little big content over the year. By big content, I'm talking either a large expansion, or just new PvE and PvP operations/warzones. I'm pretty sure that, when SoR releases, SWTOR revenue will increase by a lot, and for a long time too.
  7. Please add /type. This is the huge emote I feel the game is misisng at its core. So many computers in this game, can't type on any of them.
  8. So both Rishii and Yavin 4 are coming in 3.0. That's 2 planets, and as a result, I'm not convinced that it's going to be how I'm assuming it to be. Due to the wording, I'm assuming that the next story will begin on Rishii... then progress to Yavin 4, with both planets being "full planets", roughly Dromund Kaas or Taris in size. But is it likely that the only "big" planet is Rishii, with Yavin 4 being a daily area, such as CZ and Oricon? Or, is it more likely that Yavin 4 is just being used for FPs and Operations, like Manaan? I'm a little confused by the wording... dunno if a dev can respond, though they are likely busy. Can anyone tell me which one it's likely to be, so I can level my expectations accordingly?
  9. I don't really understand what you mean. Do you mean showing events we already know about, generally, in the Star Wars timeline? The timeline does not really cover this slice of history. TOR stands on its own. Rise of the Hutt Cartel was an original piece of fiction, and the game continues to go that way. It's more interesting for them to create NEW lore than retreading old lore.
  10. Like the others said, there is no point looking for existing lore to figure out what they will do next. SWTOR will continue to have an original story with no ties to other EU material. Rumours flying about indicate something to do with Bothawui and Ziost, hidden in the gamefiles.
  11. Really? I find it pretty easy, tbh.
  12. I know all about the bloom fix, but the bloom fix improves lightsabers in general. Not their colour. With bloom on, every lightsaber is an ultra glowly torch of light, with the white and specific colour blending too much. This is particularly prevalent in the Green, Yellow and Orange crystals. It does not fix the colour of the green crystal, which is not a classic star wars green. The way forwards is either a fix (unlikely) or a new proper green crystal on the Market. (Very achievable.)
  13. Bioware already said in multiple interviews, and in the roadmap, that there would be a "Makeb-level" expansion at some point this year as well. It isn't just going to be housing.
  14. The ingame default Green is not green at all, it is a weird yellowy-green hybrid. Either replace it with proper green, or introduce a true green to the Market.
  15. The thing is, there are people on this forum, like yourself, who do not offer constructive feedback. It's almost like an alcoholic rehab meeting. Here's the thing: people do not care for negativity very much. If you are *really* going about trying to alter peoples view of this game, you're going about it all wrong, baby! Lemme offer some advice. Trust me, I'll be gentle. Would you like to offer posts that are meaningful to people who both like and dislike this game? 1) When you point out a flaw, offer a solution. This generates a response to that solution. Not a retort to your criticism. Alienating people is not as powerful as putting them on your side. 2) Avoid total criticism. The more people begin to recognise you as "Ulle (is that the name?) who is a negative nancy and not worth giving attention to", the less they are likely to become interested in what you are trying to sell. Soften the blow. I know you weren't blessed with many social graces, but I am more than happy to have assisted you in self-improvement. Sales is all-too-easy once you've worked out the principles. Take care, pumpkin. You've got some good ideas. You're just doing it all wrong.
  16. I don't think they went too far. Star Wars is a fantasy, after all, and those sure are big threats that we as players or readers want to be prevented. I loved the idea of the Emperor being almost godlike. It made his character: this mysterious, intelligent, hidden figure that considers this entire galaxy, his own Empire, and everyone in it, a mean to his own ends. That's cool.
  17. Rip nevr forget gudnite sw33t prince
  18. Being able to identify voice actors is more of a curse. Instead of listening to characters, I just spend all my time trying to work out who they are voiced by... the picture them speaking instead of the character. It's a curse. Jim Cummings voices Oteg in this game. He has a very recognisable voice... he always plays old guys as well. Anyone know if Nadia Grell's voice actress is in anything else of note? I thought she was really good.
  19. Agreed. LS Jaesa is nice, but rarely says anything interesting. DS Jaesa is a crazy weird psychopath, not a Sith. The kind of person I'd want to leave the company of then call the police on...
  20. Evil is a consequence, not an initial state. The way many Sith interpret and use their teachings; that's what often leads to evil. As to the Jedi not being allowed emotions, that's not accurate. They are taught to keep their emotions under control and under wraps. They still have them, but they have mastered them. Kind of like the Vulcans in Star Trek. If you slap a Jedi, they might get sad or angry inside, but they have trained themselves to have a clear, focused and level head at all times, hence you're unlikely to get a reaction I do agree that the Empire is more interesting though.
  21. Korriban badly needs an expansion to become larger, so sure, why not. New Daily Areas arent exactly what everyone wants though.
  22. The PC is not a companion. They must use the recorded voice acting in the game, thus they must speak basic. Bioware have said this about any future races; it's why the Cathar were introduced.
  23. Revan isn't *terrible*. You should read it if you're fine with his SWTOR portrayal and want to see how he got there, as well as if you're interested in Scourge. I haven't finished Deceived so can't comment, but Fatal Alliance was pretty good! That's more for Satele Shan/Fans of those cinematic trailers I find. Dunno why. I liked it.
