  1. Ignoring people who PvP can real screw over your team, since what if that player you have on ignore is defending a node and the rest of the team simply drops the ball so to speak and he only needs one person to help them. You could have been that one person.
  2. I never mentioned lowbie planets...just mentioned how PvP worked in the past. As you noticed I did mention if we get a "NEW" planet it would be nice if they removed the guards and safe zones, mostly the safe zones only on pvp servers. Since everyone on said planet "should" be able around the same level it will more or less be fair. Get this lowbie ganking out of your head, I do not agree with lowbie ganking, ,or kill trading etc... but the thing is why must everyone suffer because a few bad apples? If I get ganked by a higher level it happens, sure I get a tad upset but it happens. Sort of like roaming into out outlaws den to get the part for HK, I fully expect to die. Most of you are just missing the point, you have to face it for wpvp to really happen without the need of people setting up events or relying on the gree event. Players need to be forced to cross paths. There is no magical fix to world pvp, just force each faction to cross paths and wpvp will simply happen. Once again this has nothing to do with lowbies, if I wanted to gank lowbies I would sneak into the main base on Hoth, or use "cleaver use of game machines" to get into the starting zone on Tat, or jump around and get into the quest hub on section X. Getting around the guards is simple, problem is people still view it as a hassle. If they are forced to go out of their way most will not do it.. In other games you would have PKer guilds and PKKer guilds. The player base had to protect their own, guilds were forced to look after their lower levels. Ganking sucks and I do not agree with it, but when the players were forced to protect their own it really did add a unique element to pvp servers. Yes that would happen, and it would suck... but that is why you call your friend to school said camper, and then that camper may bring friends etc... and see how it can mushroom into something? Will it always work this way? No, most of the time they will just give up and run away. The chance for it to mushroom into something great will be a viable option. Also you did notice I said I am leveling a character on a pvp server? Thus, when I try to kill someone on let say Tat, I am questing see an imp, they run for their outpost, as an equal level I cannot kill those guards. That happened like four times, if I see someone they run for their outpost, my healer could not keep up, they got back to their outpost. Trust me guards only prevent this so called griefing if you are a lowbie. Once you ding 50+ you can sneak past most.
  3. Even Makeb is gated when it comes to wpvp, and on pvp servers that should not be the case. Also the thing is guards in general turn people off to wpvp, guards are just an added hassle, people do not like hassles. I mean look at group finder, people did not like the hassle of having to put together a group, or in WoW, people did not like the hassle of having to go to the NPC of the BG you wanted to queue for. Anything that proves to be a hassle will simply case most players to call it. Granted you can set up wpvp events, that those often require a handful of people to set those up. While they are fun, setting up wpvp should not be work, it should be allowed to happen. For it to happen players need to run into each other more while questing. No need to to have player driven events. I mean sure they are fun for people taking part, but as someone who use to set up server wide pvp events, it can be stressful. By removing safe zones, guards, and making quest hubs cross paths more often forcing players to interact with one another. This in itself will foster wpvp, without the need of setting up events. If you force the factions to cross paths every so often while questing on pvp servers, and remove places to hide, wpvp will just happen.
  4. My friend, best world pvp often spawns from a gank. Just the nature of it. Back in the day if you got ganked, you would call for help, friends would come, those doing the ganking would bring more friends, so on and so forth. That is how it use to work. Do not give me this BS real pvpers pick pvp servers to stand around the fleet and take part in instance pvp. PvPers like Wpvp, but often when wpvp happens, if you do not have the numbers for it, people will just chill in their outpost and let the NPC's do most of the work. Has nothing to do with ganking lowbies for lulz, granted players are like that, but pvp servers should force players to protect their own, not hide in safe zones and let npcs protect you. I enjoy ranked, but sadly I do not want my only form of PvP fun to be in the form of ranked warzones or warzones in general. Add pvp dailies to Ilum. or outlaws den. Something. Also if you read the post, I mentioned if they added a new planet it would be nice if they removed safe zones on said planet only for pvp servers. Since everyone would be around the same level on said planet you cannot use the whole I am going to gank level 20's and feel all powerful. Balls in your court.
  5. Before anyone says anything, it is a pvp server, one should expect to get destroyed by higher levels while leveling. I got bored on my PvE server so figured I would level a new toon over the double xp weekends on a pvp server, and honestly it felt more like a pve server. Quest hubs hardly ever intersect, I rarely saw an enemy player, planets are littered with safe zones. I mean I got ganked more while questing flagged on a pve server then I did on a pvp server, that is sad. If we ever get a new planet, bioware could you make it so only on pvp servers the planet has no safe zones and either remove the guards or nerf them so safe. I mean or add a constant stream of dailies to ilum or something for pvpers. I mean at this rate I will do the same thing at 55 I do on my pve server on a pvp server. Do laps around the fleet waiting for queue pops. I mean it just feels weird, granted it is peaceful, but who picks a pvp server to level in peace?
  6. Real problem to open world pvp on PvP servers is the fleet, and planets have WAY too many safe zones. Either blow up fleet, or get rid of safe zones, it is a pvp server after all. Also remove guards, leave it up to the players to defend their own on pvp servers.
  7. If someone calls you bad, but refuses to duel you, even after you try the spice up the deal, how exactly is that hustling? Why would someone run their mouth, and the moment someone asks to put their money where their mouth is they back down? I mean if I call someone bad and they ask me to duel, I will duel them if I lose I eat my humble pie. that is they are within equal level range. Maybe things work differently here, but I recall if someone tires to start something, it is best to finish it quickly so it does not turn into a long standing feud, who knows maybe even after a few one-on-one the person talking trash would develop a sense of respect for the player, and who knows they will become friends. Yes in the past I did duel for credits, goes back to when I played WoW was an interesting way to spice things up. I use to hold an underground fight club so to speak in outlaws den many moons ago where people use to bet on either other or other fighters. Large stakes make for interesting matches. I lost much more then I won, but it was interesting.
  8. What is wrong with clicking? I am bad hehe, this game has much better players then myself, and as a shadow I am more or less below average. Play from NZ on an east coast server because they closed your old server merged you with in my personal opinion a piss poor server like BC, I figured a smaller pop server would maybe help out ping / lag wise. SWTOR pvp is rather forgiving, that someone who clicks can get by, as you noticed. I am trying to key-bind but it is rough and feels weird. I mostly tell people in private I click since most auto tag you as a newb, but since you brought it out into the open let it be known I guess buddy. If I was hustling, I would Have asked you to duel for credits after I won a few times.
  9. Just form set one up, toss a date around see who bites. given that Jung Ma is a small community hit people up the leaders or officers personally in game, toss up a few advertisements in general chat on the fleet, starter areas. Get the word out. It seems the imps went through the motions to get this off the ground. If you want it to happen just go for it.
  10. Switch over the pub side and heal me please! I am alone in the darkness! Or maybe I should join the dark side, do you guys provide milk and cookies?
  11. Trolling? But but I am bad, they should eat up the chance to win an quick 200k This goes far beyond trolling, it is like they have no faith in their ability. I mean this is akin to someone calling the person that beat them a scrub... it makes no sense.
  12. So I am leveling up my character, and some random guys be it IMP or PUB like running their mouths, so when you play along and ask them to 1 v 1, since I am a baddie, I figured they would be all over it., after all I am bad, no point denying it.. They always back down, we are within the same level range, even offered to head to Ilum where they have bolster in the pvp area, no dice. Is this normal on NA servers? I am bad after all it should be an easy win, I even offer to toss up credits. Should be easy money. Friendly pvp banter is fun, but in the end it is like they are bluffing and never expected someone to call their bluff. This makes me a sad panda indeed. We are in the same level range, so it cannot be level, and i am bad so it cannot be class either. Anyone care to explain?
  13. Not all premades are the same, some so called "premade" groups are comprised of friends who may or may not suck at the game. A simple group vs group system would be unfair to the vast majority of premade groups that are just friends having a good time. They should just add an MMR system, but that would effect queue times for the people on top.
  14. I would rather they spend man power fixing bugs, adding content. Not trying to make a work around for those that want a toggle to turn off something that does not happen very often. Even without rested exp, if you do every planet quest, I am fairly certain you will out level the planet anyways, so what does it matter? Please tell me?
  15. Guys it is clear that these cats are simply using the out level the planet as an excuses. Since when a quest goes grey you get like what 6 exp? If you are over-leveling more then one planet it means you are doing pvp or something while you quest which means you dislike double exp because it means less time to either farm sabers, or crush newbies. Face it even at level the game is laughably easy if you keep your mods updated, and even without current mods the game is not that hard, unless you are talking about soloing heroic 4 mans. Side quests and story quests are easy, and anyone that mentions they do it for a challenge must be lying, since I am sorry SWTOR leveling is a joke. This is coming from someone that is leveling without an AC just for lulz.
  16. This guy hit the nail on the head, sadly healers are only truly OP when you are playing with people that have no clue what to do. However, this creates a problem who / what do you balance towards? The majority of players that pvp, that have no clue how to work as a team, or do you balance around the minority of players that know how to work as a group? We all the know the answer, majority will win, I expect a nerf to healers across the board in 2.4 not because they need it, but because the majority of the player base is having issues because they do not understand the basic notion of teamwork. Because let us face it, at the end of the day good players will adapt. So I am sorry when you guys get nerfed, just the sorry state of SWTOR I guess. Majority rules, and sadly the majority is not very good.
  17. Why is it people expect others to help them out? I mean most groups tend to mark cc targets and do a kill order such as Flame > Lighting > Star something of that nature. What more could the OP or even the group for the matter do?
  18. People think this is pay to win clearly because of the melon bomb heal, the glider charge, and most importantly THE BEES! This is why people are upset because they do not want people running around with BEES in their pocket, and melon bombs! All jokes people need to grow up, MMO's are becoming more mainstream, as such more options to reach the same goal will be added. Use the one you personally feel is best. Sort of like when someone makes the choice to play a video game on either normal or hard. If you want a challenge go hard, want to just see the story and have some stress free fun go easy. Though farming one million credits is not really hard nor stressful. In the end people will complain for the sake of complaining, it is like when people got upset over the space mission items on the CM, till this day I wonder how many people that cried really even did space mission.
  19. I bet it does not, since for HK you still need to do the quest. Fairly certain the same could be said for this comp, you will need the legacy to buy the item. I am sure they have the ability to code it in such a manner. So in the end all this QQ is rather pointless people need to relax. Adding more options to buy something is not a bad thing. Also it is time you guys get with the times, MMO's are quickly becoming causal friendly, because many players who enjoyed the EQ, SWG, FFXI, Old school WoW, and Aion to name a few, are older. They no longer have the time like they did back in the day to spend 8 hours gaming. Many work, have families of their own. MMO's like it or not are no longer some underground game people play. They are becoming more and more mainstream, as such they are catering to a new core player group the causal, which oddly enough I am sure many so called casuals use to be hardcore at one point when they were younger. I am a young, so I cannot buy stuff on the CM, mom will not let me. Nevertheless I do see it as if someone has extra cash to burn on their choice of entertainment they should be able to. Just like how I spend my allowance on comics and model kits. We each have our hobbies. We are all gamers no reason to get bash or get upset because gamers who do not have the time to run dailies wishes to buys something with real money.
  20. Guys you still need legacy level 40, to buy it with credits or CC, so relax. PS getting a million credits is not hard, stop acting like you are so awesome for farming one million credits.
  21. I think you are missing the point, Bolster in Regs is fine, bolster in ranked is silly. Remove from ranked, not regs
  22. I love this change when I play with friends, I am going to dread it when it I solo queue.
  23. I like them...so yeah hehe. Cannot make everyone happy just spacebar
  24. Guys you can already twink lowbie toons in warzones, simply leave before the match is over. You still get your lulz...
