  1. Why though, It seems like standard fair, looking back I recall a lot of video even in WoW where stealth classes used vanish as a means to heal back up. I really do not understand why people feel it is cheap. When I lose to stealth classes that pull it off I do not call them bad or accuse them of winning based off the gimmick, I sort of just kick myself for not saving my breaker or keeping a dot on them. Am I just odd hehe?
  2. Why do people hate on that trick? I was watching a shadow and assassin duel this morning on my lowbie sorc, and one of them was hating on the other for using the vanish heal trick, isn't that just cleaver use of game mechanics? On my assassin I am too slow to pull of the trick. So why do people get really get upset about it? These two dueled for many 30 or so min, and it was a back and forth regarding the that silly trick. Just felt I had to ask since I quite do not understand both of the same class would get upset over a trick they both are able to pull of. I tried the ask the two, but they were being silly and told me to sod off, so I figured I would ask the forums.
  3. Just wondering, don't you think if they had the means for cross server queue they would have done it by now? WE are just beating a dead horse with another dead horse.
  4. Class balance is far from perfect, but by no means does it make the game unplayable. By nature certain classes / specs are simply better for arena, but in the end why avoid something out of blind hope for something that will never exist? Prefect balance is a myth, far too many variables. Who do you balance around the average player, thus making the good or even great ones even better? Or do you balance around the classes potential, thus risking making average players worse? Granted, they could do something to make certain specs more viable like Madness, and watchmen ( I cannot speak for other classes since those are the two I play Sin and Mara ) but it does not break the game for me, since it can be frustrating at times, but while I am odd that frustration makes things interesting. Though I am not going to lie lighting sorcs do have it rough in solo queue depending in their group make up / map.
  5. I was wondering, has solo queue either slowed to a crawl or simply died on your server? I am a deaf player so the idea of solo queue was awesome. I figured once I got high enough rating I would be tossed into highly competitive matches, but it seems as I got closer to 2000, atm at 1956 ( was trying to get my crystal but gave up ) not only did the quality of player rarely change, but over time the queue simply died out. I asked around as to why competitive players stopped queuing, some told me they did not like the random nature of it, others said queue times were simply too long, and the most common was they were simply not having fun. Could the baseline reason people playing with friends is simply more fun? I mean even normal war zones have a random nature to them, even if you super queue, you still may end up fighting one another. As for the fun factor that is dependent on the person, and as for the queue time people have a point, but oddly enough it would improve if more people queued. One could say it limits specs which it sort of does, so to speak since at the very least on my server one faction tends to have more active healers, and the other has more active tanks. Leaving that all aside has solo queue proven like many have said in the past, people simply enjoy playing with friends? I know of players that will queue for solo ranked and try to sync queues. Maybe the friend aspect is needed, and as a solo player I would not mind if they allowed players to group together for solo ranked if they do not change the rule set. Just make it so comps are the same. I have come to terms with the fact as a deaf player high rated 4 v 4 is out my league, unless they allow macro support so I can do what I did in WoW, and make macros that I could use to tell my mates I have been cc'ed and with what, or if I used my breaker, or when I pop major cools, or when I see someone low so we could hard switch. Things of that nature. Even with that I do have faith in the ranting system so I would not mind fighting people that queue with friends for so called solo ranked, since it happens anyways with sync queue, and I mean one can only get carried so much so if someone has a 1900 + rating in solo ranked they at the very least they should know the basics and I am willing to work with that, anyone else? Or is solo queue going to die out and go the way of the 8 v 8?
  6. Have not gotten to Mekab yet, but they are already cutting corners with the voice overs, by leaving out the complain reactions? That sucks, I always liked the reactions comments they offered for some choices.
  7. More like saying why have silly laws, like not leaving your car running. I know people that do this in the morning to warm up their car. Sure a few people can abuse it and blast their music late at night. Truth be told does that law protect you from the action in the moment, maybe one out of five times if you are lucky. When it happens most people are forced to ignore it. Yet I have seen people get tickets for leaving for their car running as they drop off something in the mailbox. Silly laws / rules are just that silly. While this name and even my old guild name hand proper grounds of being seen as offensive. I have seen others while some witty others not so much face the same treatment. While similar to the above poster I have seen a guild with the name <I swear she was 18> was reported and changed. Also <Pantyraiders> people found them offensive and reported these names. For what reason? Certain things should be up the the player to avoid. I mean if the ToS states online interactions are not rated, shouldn't the only police extremely over the time top names like maybe the OP's and mine in the past. I can view those as over the top, but silly names like above? Not so much. People need thinking skin. I am not intentionally belittling their mindset. I just find it strange that is all. I mean once again this may be just me, but I get called mean names in school, at first I use to tell a teacher, and my parents, but did not fix anything at times only made matters worse. Simply created a chain of endless hate and resentment. So I learned to go with the flow. I bet the OP is going to change his name to something even more offensive simply out of spite. Hey insanity at its finest. No point going on hehe, while it has been fun, we simply have different viewpoints that will never change. I do see where you are coming from though.
  8. No one is wrong for reporting something, that is within a rule set we all agree to. Nor am I belittling the action of the report in itself per se. What I am questioning more so is the logic behind it. As you saw before, all it does is create an chain of hate. I fail to see how a rational person would allow words to have such an impact. So the rightness or wrongness of the action is somewhat moot at this point. The point in question is why would a rational person allow words to have such an impact, or as the poster on top of this page or the previous version has shown is it simply just an act to troll the troll so to speak? I am sure we can come to the consensus that such names are juvenile, and namely are created to net a certain reaction, either be it a hateful or humorous, yet why are we leaving out indifferent. Simply who gives a flying fluff. Are you a B? Do you view yourself as such? If not why would someone calling you have any effect on you what so ever? Question, should it? Sure this differs from person to person, but once again I do not see the logic in it. So once again, I am not commenting on the rightness or wrongness of reporting calling foul whatever you would like to call, more so the lack of rational thought behind allowing certain sequences of letters have such a negative effect. Simply put people think these rules will stop people from being offensive? No, so wouldn't it be easier to change their outlook to it, become indifferent towards some petty forms of humor. I sure words can hurt, but in truth their ability to hurt mostly comes from the receivers inability to handle them. If you can tell me how it is rational to allow letters in a certain form to have any negative effect on someone, while playing a game I would love that. Since I do not see it. I have seen silly names get reported for dumb reasons. I have had a friend from Brit who had a toon with the name fäg because we made him do all boring tasks in war fronts like guarding nodes, be our pass / leap beacon
  9. Oh well, so is the way of the things, guess you could not show where I said reporting the action in itself was wrong. Hehe it happens.
  10. My friend I never said reporting said action was wrong, they have rules in place so no it is not wrong to report people when the break said rules. What I do feel is wrong that people let such things get to them. It is along the lines of someone who grows pot in their house, is it wrong due to the rules / laws we have in place? If he gets reported and caught is it fair within the the current rule set? Yes, but does that mean the person in question has to agree that his actions in-themselves are wrong, or couldn't they simply feel that it is silly that tax payers are wasting resources policing such trivial acts? Think about it, if people in general were more mature when it came to handling these sorts of things they would not have to waste time enforcing such petty offenses. While this goes into something else, laws and rules are set up as means of maintaining order, this much we can agree on, but people can disagree if a rule / law is necessary, and I do disagree with the rule, but I never said people were wrong for reporting violations of the ToS, just that I find it silly for people to allow words to get under their skin. IF you can point out where I said reporting actions that break the ToS which we all had to agree to is wrong, I would greatly appreciate it. By commenting on the mindset of a person does not mean I am judging the rightness or wrongness of a rule, since we all know that is moot since we agreed to the terms. Though one can question the mindset and claim that a person is wrong for letting certain things get to them in this day and age. How does one define insanity? Trolls, d-bags, *****s still exist, maybe it is time we tried something different, since playing the rule game does not seem to work. Though you are right, you have the right to call foul play, I never said you didn't, I just personally think it is wrong and silly for people to allow words in our era to have such an impact. I do wish people would simply get over this whole crude word phobia, but within the rules in the ToS they are within their right to report any action that breaks it. Thus, as I am free to voice how silly I think people are for letting words hit them hard.
  11. lol i think you are missing my point. I do agree we should move on, all I am saying is the internet would be a better place for everyone if people were able to not get so hurt over words. Someone rages at you in pvp? Smile and keep playing, someone laughs at you after they beat you? Smile and keep playing. People will always rage, people will always try to get under someones skin, but I do wonder how many would keep at it if their attacks landed on deaf ears that simply did not give a woot. Hehe makes you wonder. I just find it strange that in 2013 words still hurt people.
  12. Hehe never said they were wrong, just that people should get over this whole notion of harmful words. It is the internet thick skin should be a requirement. you are never going to get rid of these words, or the players that use them, so wouldn't it just be easier to adapt and not let them get under your skin. Most people do this sort of stuff to get a reaction, why cave and give them one? And when I say you, I do not personally me you just a general term, unless you find such words harmful, then it was aimed at you. I just find it silly CS has to deal with stuff like this, when my parents are still waiting for a response via email as to why their credit card was charged four times instead of once for one transaction. Priorities, I understand they may have different people working on different tickets regarding different matters, still meh.
  13. No matter how crude, insulting, and or derogatory you perceive them to be, they are still simply words from someone you may never meet. Now if they were spoken face-to-face then I may see how they would hurt someone, even then to me they are just words. If I got upset or cried every time someone made an Asian joke, aids joke, and or Nuclear reactor joke because my parents are from Japan. I would be an Asian hulk filled with rage and hate. That is no way to live. People should see words for what they are words. Do not let their meanings get you down, raise above the meaning.
  14. So is there something wrong with children having fun playing a video game? As we children know when it comes to the internet words are merely words. One should not take offense to anything said over the internet.. Since the one slinging insults, crude remarks knows little about you, and their primary goal is to strike a cord by tossing mean spirited words. Why give said person the satisfaction knowing that you upset them? Once again, this is how a child that enjoys guilds with silly names. Words are words when it comes to the internet. Adults should know this by now.
  15. Way I avoided being charged was click buy cartel coins > add new card > put in said info> click on save for future purchases > click okay > exit do not confirm the purchases > log back in > enable and you should see your credit info. From what it seems it is not a matter of making the purchase, but saving your credit card info on the cartel side of the account.
  16. My guilds name <Gay For You> was reported and changed many moons ago. It sucks but sadly we have to move on.
  17. A good player can only carry so much. A great player can carry pretty much anyone. It is not fair for you to expect a good player to be able to carry a team with 4 or 5 players with 24k hp, no healer, that do not bother to call INC. Sure you could have your focus target on the guy playing def, but end of the day a good player has limits, they are not super awesome like you see people streaming that can 1 v 5 people.
  18. Point remains that hardmode players just like pvpers are in the minority. Looking at the larger picture I am sure more players simply play for the story and mess around with the CM. As someone mentioned before, hard mode require a certain set of skills and time that many are not willing to invest. I do hard mode opes and I buy my fair share of cartel coins, but if I were a running this game for profit I would look at the data and see which player group nets the most profit. I will tell ya this it sure is not the hardcore pvpers and pvers.
  19. Just wondering, what percentage of the player base runs Hard Mode and NiM 55 ope content? Then ask yourself which percentage PvP's, then ask yourself which percentage enjoys to play dress up / try to get rare items from packs. Think about it, if you were in their shoes which group would you aim to please, the vocal minority on the forums, or the ones that are more likely to spend money outside their sub?
  20. Imo, what kills arena is that best out of three with acid. I say make it one round max time limit say 25 min, if you make it to the end both teams lose rating.
  21. Greetings, I was wondering does BC have a bounty board akin to the one on Ebon Hawk, and how does the community in general feel about RP-PvP, in the sense of solving confutation via ingame duels instead of rolls or free form. Reason I ask is because I tend to be more of a RP-PvP type player that enjoys seeking bounties / being hunted by hunters and I rather solve said encounters with friendly ingame duels. I transferred to Jung Ma expected a lot of this, but sadly I was mistaken. So as of right now it is a toss up between Hawk and BC.
  22. I understand where you are coming from, nevertheless that aspect of control did offer some good. When I play on my sage I use to love switching between heals or dps depending on the team. For the sake of team balance it is helpful, you get an arena match vs a team with say 3 healer and 1 dps, if we had respec I could have gone dps which would have made the other team happy and my own since they would not have to brick wall vs three healers for 4 min. Granted this was also abused in certain ways, when I play my Ope, I would put on my dps gear and go dps to take the off node if they have one defender, then switch to heals and put on my healing gear after I cap it. If they could code it in such a way we can respec at the very least during that short window before the match starts, wouldn't that be fair? Then lock people out of respec for the rest of the match, this means you cannot switch specs after the first round in VS, or switch switch in the middle of a warzone. Happy middle ground?
