  1. 1. yes this thread is outdated it hasn't been updated since 2.0 EX: cover no longer prevents you from being charged, Emergency Medpack is getting reworked in 2.7 (a coupple days from now) so instead of regranting UH in the execute range it will regrant UH at any health level with a 10s ICD (its a change that has many Scoundrel/Operative healers upset) 2. Crit chance is certainly a low priority for all classes at the moment ive only heard a few people on this forum say it helps them better than power but they tend to be at the top level gearwise. 3. i havent heard many complaints about surge but i would stack Power before Surge 4. Alacrity will increase your energy regeneration, shorten your casts and the GCD as well (not usually noticeable unless you have a ton) it is generally considered the healer's tertiary stat but its more useful on Sages who have more casts.
  2. how is his suggestion (CM pack drop of Schematics for new Orange gear) more P2W than what we have already? as a level 450 Armormech and Synthweaver i would certainly enjoy a greater variety of crafting schematics, and to be honest there are only 2 ways we will see more: raise in the level cap, they can make money off of it. id buy CM schematics off of the GTN
  3. troopers/agents like color-crystals too, it changes the color of our blaster fire, its hard to tell how a colorcrystal will look from the preview as you can't know until you shoot, and not all abilities change color with the crystal. apart from that im not quite sure what your talking about, in regards to inheritance/Birthright gear you have to mail them to low level alts for the level of the gear they are actually very strong, normally i see it as a step above purple gear. so don't underestimate it. its only when you outlevel them when they become useless and in that reguard i wish they were Custom purchased with the mods preinstalled.

Phase Walk is acquired at level 51, and can be used while in stealth, not as useful in PVE imo, except for Assassin Tanks who get Assassin's Shelter which will increase the healing power of any healers within 5 meters of the spot, it leaves a large pink spot on the ground ( 5 m radius). unbelievably useful when Datacron hunting
  6. interesting idea, i have thought on this prospect myself, i think they could do it easily if it ere only available at level 50 after the class story is done, since the devs dont seem interested in making more class specific missions, generic quest-lines can easily be edited with a single unique line identifying a crossover class.
  7. imo id also like to see a question on Force Management, are the devs happy with it as it is now? ever since my Madness Sourc hit level 30 the energy management has become a chore, Lightning Burns doesn't Proc often enough or restore enough energy to be serious energy management, leaving Force lightning (the filler) and consumption which doesn't have any mitigation in Madness like it does in corruption. but i would also like to address another point, Lightning/Telekenetics has brain-dead force management from level 22 with lightning effusion and subversion i don't think i could expend all of my energy if i tried. my sage is a level 44 Seer if i run out of force, i have to run and hide to Meditate, if i use Noble Sacrifice the next smash-monkey to leap me will roast me alive. at least its a much less nerf to use while seer spec which is the main reason its viable in PVE so basically force management Telekenetics/lightning: too easy? Madness/Balance: Too hard? Seer/Corruption unreasonable in PVP situations?
  8. the sage emergency heal is a 1.5 activation time ability that costs 70 force, Operatives emergency heal pre 2.7 is free and instant and regrants tactical advantage on targets below 30% health making it spammable. the least they could do is to flip the conveyance buff, 30% cost reduction on Benevolence, 60% crit chance on deliverance. a cheaper benevolence and more Powerful Deliverance would make both more valuable IMO

  10. this^ imo throwing a bugzapper at my enemy would be more appropriate for the spec than a burst of flame, which you would expect to find in Assault
  11. i recall BW atempting a AI mod/helper in genchat a while back. the name seemed odd and i couldn't add it to friends like a player havent seen it since, perhaps a AI mod would work, what happened with that anyways?
  12. DPS will make you better in solo play, and youll do a lot of damage in WZs but when it comes to FP ques you are at the bottom expect to wait a few hours to que for any FP that isn't KDY. Heal will make you a vital part of a FP group and you tend to get in FPs with a higher priority around 30 min or less. you can also pump out some amazing heals in WZs and save your allies bacon, if they notice you healing them they are more likely to vote you for MVP. However around level 40 Healers start to really show their weakness and you will find it difficult to solo play without healing and you will find a large drop-off in damage in WZs to the extent that you shouldn't be attacking much at all up until that point the only thing that bugged me was that carbine burst is my ability that did the most damage and is also so expensive that it couldn't be spammed much without blowing all of my energy. i leveled my operative as a healer, i think im a better healer because of it, when you level with a spec you learn all of its ins and outs and little tricks to maximize the effectiveness of your rotations, My Op just reached level 55 and i got her field respec as a present, so ive been running concealment which is much better for solo play, i kind of Stumble up whenever i get use a shiv based attack, i just haven't learned the proper fillers as i didn't level with the spec learning my rotations as i go
  13. i find most of the masks look cool from the front and terrible from the back, if you have any sense of asthetic it just makes you cringe and want to cover it, not being able to do so is why i sold Kaligs countanance and why i wear that little rubberband from the Nar Shaddah Comms vendor, and my mara wears that cool sith re-breather from the same vendor ofc both of my sith females have pretty hair so i have no issue seeing it, its just the ugly mask backsides i cant stand
  14. for an op healer i think you can go either way in my experience there isn't much difference if you facetank doing CQC or sit behind a rock and use the same rotations i learned on hutta, except ofc you take less damage when you don't facetank allowing you 2 go longer without healing. yeah the magic level is about level 40. up to 40 your DPS output feels acceptable, good at times (based off my own experience), after that it brings me nothing but misery as i cant engage a mob in solo without poping a heal (yes without using heals it becomes difficult to survive)
  15. i had a sage healer in Arena round 1 i literally didn't get to use any abilities, i was stunned, broke it and stunned again killed during the second stun. i made it longer in round 2 as we hid behind the shield, and their chain stun didnt work, still had to force speed around and do nothing but heal myself, i dont have barrier yet, but it likely wouldn't have helped either round, my team got roflstomped starting with me. so yeah Sage Healers, the doubble whammy of light armor and healer which makes you target #1 and ofc few ways to protect yourself. this said having a tank guard you can make all the difference for a sage healer and playing with the more noticeable melee allies, if they cant see a sage they are less likely to attack effectively.

My Jaesa wears a dress top from the drummond kaas social vendor and a elegant dress bottom, belt, gloves, boots from a Cartel pack, the top is white, the bottom black, ofc with the color match she is my beautiful white knight, but when i see her in convo, its horrible, white blouse and black skirt, with black gloves. it makes her look aweful.
  18. /signed agree with this and the OP, might want the roll forward and 180 turn because it would be easier to aim for the player QoL type thing @ OP i don't think the specs need to drop anything in a line behind them when they use the ability. perhaps lethality could drop a corrosive location on their location before they roll, MM to grant Snap Shot and/or 1/2stacks of zeroing shots and engineering could get the next frag grenade (with scatter bombs) free.
  19. good to know thanks for the replies. i was kind of thinking what if death field increased the Crit chance on DOTs procing Parasitism (kind of like the sin tank's dark ward but for crit ), imo could counterbalance consumption so Madness would in part be able to rely on consumption for force management, the main problem being the force regeneration reduction. hmm considering a Sourc regenerates 2% health for each parasitism proc and 2% for each target hit by death field, with 15 charges... you could at least regain 32% of your health, obviously it would have to be balanced so it doesn't regenerate 32% of your health but something much closer to the amount you lose when activating consumption. quite frankly that's something that i wouldn't mind over Madness Tree's countless fillers. maybe its that im only level 28 but it seems a waste to be running around while Polarity shift is up (shouldn't i be channeling force lightning instead and use force speed to move?) how about the take less damage from Dots? heck pyro mercs have the effect doubled and tied to their cleanse, considering how weak our cleanse is without healspec i would prefer the pyro mechanic over this, at least that way its stronger and i can save it for fighting other players that use DOTs. i also figure taking less damage while stunned, would only be useful in PVP. so maybe im just crazy but if death field increased parasitism proc rate and a upper-tier madness skill reduced the Debuff (maybe if you could spend wrath on consumption that would remove the debuff) then Madness suddenly has a solution to energy management that makes use of an unusable ability for DPS sourcs.
  20. what if pets did the animations for relics, so with a defense relic the pet would project a shield around you (on proc). a heal relic would cause the pet to heal your ally. a DPS relic to cause your pet to attack your enemy.
  21. im interested as well but im worried about readability? will parsec give me a code like readout (im not in the mood to translate code) or will it be in easily readable graphs and tables (like on Dulfy's guides)
  22. will i be allowed to sleep in my own bed? lounge on my own couch? watch Mutual of Oricon on the Holonet? have companions do semi interesting things? pets that roam, wonder and pee on the carpet like real pets? a garage for my speeders? a radio that can be turned on to listen to mildly interesting SW music? cook and eat in my own kitchen? or order Twilek food when im not feeling like cooking, and have a Twilek come to my home? bring an ops group in for a meeting or a party? do illegal things (gamewise)? a modification station? a set of drawers/ armorracks where one can store a change of armorpieces and potetially keeping the same mods and augments when switching so we dont have to specially gear each set? a priority transport terminal? or will i get to watch paint dry while complaining that C2N2 stunk my house up with the smell of wet paint? stand in my couch? walk with my my dirty boots over my bed like its made of wood. muse morosely over the game-board i cannot use? use a mailbox i have to pay for? fight dummies i have to pay for? use a cargo hold i have in 1k different locations? talk to companions? did i mention watch paint dry? quite frankly id rather them give us options to decorate our starship than give us player housing, think of all the decorations BW could allow us to add to our ships, instead of making player housing. the first list they could probably do if they didnt make player housing, the second may be what we can expect from player housing so let me ask what do you prefer? the first list given to our ships, or the second list to our player housing, or both lists in player housing in the year 2016
  23. i was wondering if there was a way to increase Critical chance on DOTs, would stacking Crit rating work? I it isnt obvious by the title im wondering because it is crits form DOTs that proc Parasitism. if crit rating doesnt affect DOTs, then imo this would be a great way for BIO to buff crit rating by making it affect DOTs
