  2. it isn't devour my sourc is level 28 (cant get devour) and has noticed this issue, it only heals you for one target not the up to 5 promised.
  3. new idea: lightning barrage now grants pushback immunity to Force lightning when proced (so you get the full effect) and remove any other skills in lightning tree that effect Crushing darkness or Force lightning. replace it with Shock (so shock is buffed by convection, and forked darkness and probably give it a chance to proc lightning storm) and remove the ability for either to proc Lightning Effusion this way Crushing darkness is removed from the lightning rotation and force lightning only from Lightning barrage procs, and add shock to the lighning rotation.
  4. how about a nerf to lightnings mindlessly easy energy management while we buff madness energy management Disclaimer: my Sourc is only level 26 and normally madness spec, i was playing around with my WZ dummy testing out lightning tree and hopefully understand what all the fuss is about with Madness sourcs running out of energy and Lightning sourcs not having that same problem. at first i was floored as i spread the points out to all the skills that would keep my energy stable, i found that i was on average force positive, and had 0 issue with keeping energy up, my energy bar wasn't dipping below 75% of my total energy. i then processed to respec and specifically avoid the energy positive skills while still specing into effusion, and i found that this time it was only a little harder to keep energy up. i then respeced again avoiding effusion and subversion and found my energy management to be near the same, maybe a little harder than madness. another respec collecting subversion and all of the other energy management skills but effusion showed my energy lasted quite a bit longer while remaining negative (the subversion i believe has a large effect and i had figured as much the difference for my assasin with Blood of Sith [10%/20%/30% increase to energy regeneration rate] skill was large and means she normally never has to use saber strike) a further respec this time selecting effusion and reserves as my only energy management skill i found that with just effusion my energy loss was about the same as in my previous test: everything but effusion. a 75% cost reduction is massive and the 50% chance on citing isnt hard when you keep your DOTs up (yes DOTs can proc effusion) and use force lightning on CD, effusion relies on the RNG and as always the RNG is vulnerable to multiple rolls, the more ticks of damage you do the more times you roll the RNG the more likely it is to proc making the DOTs and Force lighting key to keeping it up. the ability isnt really fit for a tier 3 and certainly not 2 as the op suggested as i see it a coupple things could be done to equalize the Power plus ability of lightning spec and the power minus ability of Madness: 1. Flip electric induction (reduce cost of all force attacks by 3%/6%/9% and accuracy 1%/2%/3% lightning tier 1 skill) with Will of the Sith (increase willpower 3%/6% madness tier 1 skill). Lightning storm no longer makes chain lightning free, wrath will now make crushing darkness or lightning strike free when consumed Lightning effusion now only reduces the cost of the next 2 abilities by 50% (down from 75%) 2. flip Lightning effusion with Shapeless spirit (reduce damage taken while stunned by 15%/30% madness tier 7 skill) lightning effusion now only reduces the cost of the next 2 abilities by 50% (down from 75%) 3. Lightning effusion now only procs on shock, lightning strike, chain lightning and thundering blast Flip electric induction (reduce cost of all force attacks by 3%/6%/9% and accuracy 1%/2%/3% lightning tier 1 skill) with Will of the Sith (increase willpower 3%/6% madness tier 1 skill). Lightning storm no longer makes chain lightning free, wrath will now make crushing darkness or lightning strike free when consumed anyone else have some thoughts?
  5. are you using your stun? DCD's? ill admit it can make my life difficult too and i usually make it by the skin of my teeth. and i dont have treek, i've only ever tanked him (with sin and van tanks). frce push to keep him at a distance and use ranged attacks, my van can run around and kite him as needed (you have force speed you can do that with). to start my sin i normally sleep him, Mind crush and Que shadow strike before the Mind crush lands (ofc and idk jedi version blood of sith gives me +30% regneration meaning i regnerate that force in no time) mostly its the Stun that saves my skin, interupt> stun> interupt> Forcepush> Forcespeed> interupt DCDs should be up too and run your normal high damage rotation in the gaps
  6. because the push-back immunity for force lightning and crushing darkness is in the Madness tree in Sith efficacy a tier 3 talent, so you could get it if you forgo thundering blast (my sourc is only level 28 so idk how much objection you would have to it). so to put Pb immunity to subversion would be like for Commandos putting steadied aim in assault tree as well as gunnery
  7. i like my van tank a lot more than my sin, my van doesn't rely on an RNG for survival and no Dark protection does not make up the difference. my Van has about 45% Damage Reduction, which is substantial by any calculation. and 38% Shield 37% absorb and im guaranteed to get more as i finish gearing her. keep in mind energy burst increases absob by 25%, and any half braindead tank can keep it up at least half of the time (because ion cell procs and shield procs reduce the CD) so thats 62% absorbtion half the time. and that defensive skill 100% shield chance for x Duration you realize that 100% shield would proc my energy burst even faster so that puny little shield of mine would absorb about 62% of all damage i take for the duration also add my 45% Damage Reduction, yeah the letters OP don't come to mind at all quite frankly idk how vanguards are at the bottom, sure i wouldnt mind an extra DCD, but overall i perfer DCDs for Oh **** moments (granted never done NiM mode) in short my van tanking ability puts my sin tanking ability to shame.
  8. this idea is better than most, but imo as a tank i likely wouldn't spec harpoon, compared to storm, it is very underwhelming, and i could really say the same for my Sin tank, and force pull. i dont see any utility for Harpoon at all in PVP unless you have the root that requires 2 points to get how many vanguards find that worth their while? if they are ranged they can continue to ignore me, if they are warrior/knight they can leap away, if they are Inquisitor/consular they can force speed away, some of them even able to break the root while doing so. in essence its a wasted GCD. quite frankly i think if they did flip them, they would need to add something to harpoon, otherwise i would safely ignore it (or maybe make it the top tier talent and energy blast/power screens mid tier so i can safely get gut) Htl isnt a good gap closer, i will take force speed any day over Htl for gap closing, force speed does last for about 30m and has a short CD, that is a major gap closer as long as you arnt rooted in the middle of it (in PVE not a problem, in PVP only a problem when you are using it to run)

I see A melee a opponent and shout "BRING IT ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" my Armor makes me look like i'm the type to bathe in the blood of my enemies what is the fun in tanking if you cant be a Drama Queen, if nobody is looking at me im not doing my job and i feel unfulfilled. and yes My vanguard is female and yes when its that time of the month, i wont just bash you with the butt of my rifle, i will crack your skull open, and when i kick you in the A** you will be breathing through that A** and pooping through your mouth. and if you aren't scared enough yet, then try to ignore me and see what happens. (see Drama Queen) and personally, I make Malcolm look like a chicken, i'm at 25% health, big whoop i'll still Kick you A** and ive got the tanking skill to back it up, heck i took on Kilran solo SM at level 43, id like to see a Sentinel take on them odds. seriously though Seeing Malcom charge into a Powerful Sith with the force of a freight train fills me with pride.
  11. the op also played a Commando with a blaster rifle, might Vanguard make sense then? Vanguard is optimal at 10m range dance into 4m for melee attacks and kite to your heart's content (imo one of the best classes for kiting). I love my Vanguard and think it would be perfect for the OP

  13. exactly even if i did want to buy Cartel packs id get an inventory full of junk before i get the stuff i want, if you dont want to sell CM items on the GTN then stop with the RNG system and allow players to purchase what they want directly and get a rep token or cartel ticket
  14. they leave early on as in on the first planet. so why not give them a taste of the good life. imo give F2P subscriber level access up to level 10. also allow certain privileges when they group up with a Sub (more FP, WZ and Ops, one way trading, sprint boost when they don't already have it). level 1-10 and subscribers should be like drug dealers in that we offer them drugs (sub benefits) for free to start and that makes them want to sub.
  15. and it looks like the very same people are complaining they have to sit so far back, and even suggesting that the defending team, not be able to fight back. so a better suggestion: let the wookie win allow the capital ship to heal friendly players within an added 5000m to the Capital ships turrets range make it so there are large warning signs on an attackers screen. allow defenders to pick up beacons that are then placed on any enemy they attack that is 10000m from the capital ship's turret range that allows the capital ship to blast the marked enemy at 10000m more. the capital ship should mean safety, not nerf, in Star Wars how would you expect a fighter to take on a Star Destroyer? one zap and the fighter is gone.
  16. remove an enemies buffs? you mean like an ability that will "cleanse" an enemies buffs? imo i could see that in the DPS tree of either commando, Sage or Scoundrel, and would affect their cleanse to clear 2 enemy buffs. could be interesting as long as it doesn't clear the stance from players (if it could trun off my ion cell i would be pretty pissed not to mention its a channel to activate it doing that in the middle of PVP not fun) yeah some things would have to be uncleanseable and mostly skill tress stuff that can be cleansed off, you could say remove Kolto Probes and other HOTs pulse generator, maybe harnessed Darkness and dark protection.
  17. imojust let us exchange commendations for others, we can already do this for WZ commendations, use reg to buy ranked and vice versa, buy Planetary with regular WZ. how about we can buy a classic comm for 2 Planetaries, basic for 2 clasic, etc. this way we never get useless comms (unless you are in full ultimate comms gear/ ops gear) would also work in degrade as well 2 planetary for 1 classic
  18. so let me get this straight you are mad the spammers are driving the prices down and thus would like to reduce your competition, and doing so by supporting the proposition of making CM items bound, so you cant sell them anyways. if you don't like the low prices on the GTN eliminating the market altogether doesn't seem like a solution. unlike the real world GTN buyers have power over the market and can always choose to buy the same good for the lowest price, and quite frankly i and the other buyers out there enjoy the low prices. its not as though im friendly to those who want to gouge me for more money. if you dont like it you dont have to participate my only suggestion is for Bioware to cut out the middleman

  21. imo cartel packs are only worth anything on the GTN, so yeah id rather buy them their. it would probably be better for Bioware to choke them out of business by selling credits through CC. why then would i buy credits illegally when i can do so easier and better with higher gain by doing so legally? and this way i can still buy packs through the GTN. if BW makes cartel packs BOP they could lose money, because im not gonna spend CC on packs but i will spend credits on them, and as long as someone is willing to make credits off of my purchase, BW is making money. I win, the seller or spammer makes money, BW makes money. as for the spammers driving down prices, well i cant complain for now but if BW chokes them out like i suggest, well who knows, BW obviously has to do a cost analysis on the idea, if they make packs BOP they will lose money, if they choke the spammers, then they have a new source of income which may or may not balance against the loss in Pack sales. BW is a business, speak to their greed

  24. then let me clairify on my Sarcasm. if someone is running back to his capital ship, it isn't because he is winning, he is losing. the Capital Ship is a safe zone, like the marked tree in a game of tag, touch the tree and your safe, fly to the capital ship and your safe, ofc the Capital ship does it by killing the guy who is "it", and he re-spawns all the way across the map. ergo removing the capital ship cannons IS nerfing the losers, and buffing the winners. now if the player is hanging around the capital ship to pick you off with his rail-gun, then you are too close to the capital ship, back out to the middle and that gunship either gets a non-contributer (while definately not contributing) or he moves up allowing you to charge him down and nail him before he can run.
  25. ofc allow F2P and preferred post we would be better off if BW hired 24 hour mods, those mods would be checking the forum more often cause face it BW checks this forum what once a week? maybe when Eric has downtime and willpower? DEVS!!!! if you disagree prove me wrong and Post here!!!
