  1. But its not even necessary as other mmos showed. Pads and button combos allow pretty much any numer of abilites to be used
  2. Do Bioware devs think anyone will (re)join the game upon hearing that abilities were streamlined? Of course not. So why even waste precious dev time and resources on that and risk alienating the remaining fans??? Here's a list of things that COULD excite and intice new/returning players to join the game: - updated 1.0 textures, especially presets used for Player Characters - console ports - extensive new storyline (as in way way bigger than Onslaught) - new game systems (remodeled PVE space, pet battles, pazaak etc) - LOTS of new group PVE content (multiple OPS, multiple FPs etc, not just 1 every year or so) Any of this would be a big incentive for new and returning players, this is how FFXIV and/or ESO managed to not only survive but GROW the playerbase heavily. Not by wasting time on changes no one even asked for, needed or wanted.
  3. It's a mess. Really, the game has now way too many pointless grind track bars all cluncky and unclear in implementation. Renown, Galactic Seasons and Conquests should be combined into one thing. This way playtime (as in what Bioware wants most right?) would be rewarded both in supplementary gear, mats and vanity items.
  4. A change no one asked for, wasted dev time, etc. Focus on better writing than Onslaught and more content instead of pointless changes k thx
  5. Just a reminder that we got as little content in 2019 as now with global pandemic so let's not even start with Covid excuses. Pointless Anthem relaunch (and initial developement before that) has been sucking SWTOR's resources and manpower away and its been very clear for the past 3 years or so, COVID or not.
  6. I think you guys are really forgetting just how much WORSE Liara was No really, just look at the latest ME4 trailer. Probably some 600 years have passed since ME3 yet the blue stalker is STILL obsessed with our Sheps and just can't take a hint
  7. Tell that to Mandalorian which basically got nothing to do with Imp vs Rep. Gimme a break. This lazy, low-bar lack of thought from fans who just want to be serviced with unengaging familiar stuff over and over again is how we ended up with rehash Sequel Trilogy.
  8. Seeing how Smugglers & Bounty Hunters constantly get stucked in Imp vs Rep they care nothing for I say it's justice that there's a Mando plot going on right now. To me the tired and boring Rep vs Imp is one big YAWN.
  9. The less actual content the game gets the more they have to rely on grind tricks to keep at least some people playing, simple
  10. Lana IS the Liara of SWTOR. But they're actually more restrained when it comes to forcing her into every scene compared to Liara, so actually kudos for that
  11. Do Commemorative statues of Dxun bosses actually drop in the game?
  12. I'm stunned this thread isn't on first page. I mean, it' super obvious what just hapened in the storyline and I'm not even Vaylin fan.
  13. I get what you're saying but honestly? Bioware's proven time and again they don't get any character or plot point from Kotor 2 and they butchered all they touched from it so... best if they keep anything Kotor2-related as vague and minimal as possible really... I'm still having nightmares over encoutering """"Kreia'""" in Warrior storyline even though they pretend now it wasn't her
  14. Think it's obvious Vailyn body-snatched. What I'm wondering is whether they will make it into some bigger storyline or is it just an excuse for romance-alert. I mean, Vaylin fans sure been persistient so I wouldn't be mad but it's kinda too much of a big deal story-wise, considering her power and past events to make it into some short side quest.
  15. New classes with new missions will never happen so there's no point even bringing it up. What is this utter nonsense that ANYONE wants a simplistic singular plots with no differences? Stop making stuff up. Wanting FRESH IDEAS AND ORIGINAL CONCEPTS has absolutely nothing to do with singular storylines. It's about doing something more ambitious than endless lazy rehashing of Imp vs Rep like Onslaught was. That's only good for so-called "fans" who care solely about their own lazy comfy feelings of familiar tired tropes they're accustomed to and refuse to be presented (let alone challenged) with any concept that requires them to utilize a single brain cell. Tired tropes don't require thinking when being 'consumed'. Look how that ended up in Sequel Trilogy. "Fans" wanted Original Trilogy rehash. Big surprise, it turned out to be an awful idea. Do we have to destroy SWTOR's storytelling completly before people catch up on the simple idea that no-effort, creatively bankrupt and unengaging storytelling serves NO ONE in the end?
  16. It was nice and managed to un-ruin quite a few mistakes from the past - mainly the disaster of Revan handling in vanilla and SOR and Scourge's silence and absence in SOR and KOTFEET. A decent epilogue for the whole Emperor saga. But I think it's safe to say the entire playerbase is ready to move on from his character. No more him, or Revan.
  17. 6.2 is a living proof what a waste of nothingburger time Ossus/Onslaught was along with renewed Imp vs Rep war. As soon as the writers focused on literally anything else the excitement came back. Not just talking about the new Mando Civil War, but even the Emperor storyline brought back once again (which finally gave it at least a semi-decent conclusion and rectified some glaring mistakes from the past). Literally anything that's not Malgus or Imp vs Rep. Now wrap up pointless Malgus return and do something fresh, new and exciting for 7.0. You've mined the old stuff long enough, time to come up with something new again for a new era. 10 year anniversary sure is gonna be a fitting moment for that. Or at the very least bring back characters/enemies/concepts there were not done to death yet, like Star Cabal. Don't bring back Jadus, we've had enough psycho Sith villains already. He was the weakest part of Agent storyline anyway. No point using him when there's the amazing and unique (for Star Wars standards at least) concept of Star Cabal in the same storyline.
  18. Also - Mass Effect Andromeda DLC getting killed, Dragon Age 4 delayed 28373th time for a 284646th restart of the whole dev process, Jade Empire & KOTOR IPs staying dormant, popular and proven SWTOR recieving minimal content. And yet, 7 years for Anthem's initial developement and now already close to 2 years on "fixing" it. It is trully astonishing just how much money, time, manpower and resources Bioware wants to dump into that game at the expense of literally every other project of theirs. A loot-shooter with next-to-none RPG that made Bioware famous. I mean????
  19. Then they should lower the price of subscription and CCs. If the output/product they offer is nowhere near close what it once was or what the competition has to offer, then its value is lower. Simple. ??? Bioware is part of EA, one of the biggest and wealthiests publishers in the world. Yet it doesnt change the FACT that SWTOR i releasing the least content out of all big MMOs. ESO fans can compare themselves to FFXIV all day long and argue which one got more stuff added. SWTOR players can't do that because SWTOR gets the least by a mile.
  20. And everyone understands that. But why should we "understand" that under the same circumstances, the competition is releasing way more content for the same or smaller price than SWTOR?
  21. as did ESO, FFXIV. All of these are either cheaper to play or sub for than SWTOR, or same price. Yet they provide far more content. Pandemic excuse doesn't fly when competition is releasing way more content under the same circumstances and at the same or smaller price.
  22. Why not... play them and decide for yourself? People have different opinions. What I can state tho is the following: KOTFE/KOTEET at the very least tried something new and fresh. You may hate it, but at least that arc had a lot of new stuff going on, some ambition and scope. With Onslaught - prepare for a very short, banal, unimaginative rehash of Imp vs Rep and Malgus. Bioware took criticism of KOTFEET as a sign to play as safe as possible.
  23. With the exception of big PVE single player campaign/pilot class story, none of this is unreasonable and should absolutely happen. I completly agree that GSF fundamentally lacks integration with the rest of the game. This is what Strongholds expansion did absolutely right - decorations everywhere in the game, Conquest system etc. GSF should recieve the same attention and it doesn't require some monstrous dev/budget resources. GSF-themed stronghold that would display our own customized Starfighters and utilize Ship/Fleet requisitions to purchase and expand should be a no-brainer. Strongholds are popular and this would build on and intergrate space side of the game with it. PVE missions IMO are absolutely doable. No, I don't believe in any expansive free-flight of open space. But some compact instanced solo PVE starfighter maps are absolutely doable within the limits of this engine. The only thing missing is programming the enemy AI. They should have 1 big PVE space battle mission be a part of the next main story expansion, as sort of a set-piece moment, and then have a daily repeatable version of it, with different difficulty modes. Along with at least few other different missions of course. That would be absolutely enough for starters. Currency/Hangar/Upgrades integration - any potential PVE/solo mode should obviously utilize Ship & Fleet requisitions, shared across legacy with GSF PVP mode. Do we even need to discuss why? Personally I belive hangars should be legacy wide too (or faction-wide). Space is just side content in this game so just like Strongholds, it shouldn't be re-grinded on every character, that discourages from participation (I know I don't do PVP GSF on alts because of naked ships) Instanced PVE maps, starfighter-themed stronghold, currency/upgrades intergration is not unreasonable to ask or think the engine is capable of. Space side of SWTOR is the last design element that is still messy, unfinished and ununified and because of that discouraging to the players (not because players dont want space) so an investement into fixing it should be high on Bioware's piority list.
  24. It's safe to assume every SWTOR planet has its fans who would love a stronghold to be made available there. However, 2 of the most consistient and popular suggestions I've been seeing throughout the years are Kaliyo's Apartment and a Personal Fleet Ship/Station. I agree with the sentiment and wanted to sum up the arguments behind both so Bioware can act on it soon Kaliyo's Apartment has been long requested by both Strongholds enthusiasts and most importantly... by the players who care little for decorating. I'm of the former group, but I completly understand the latter group - there's nothing more off-putting and daunting for a player who's not very into MMO housing features than a gigantic Stronghold to purchase and fill up. SWTOR's had a LOT of those, especially recently. Rishi and Alderaan are simpley enormous, so is Yavin and Tatooine. Even the smallest of the available strongholds (Coruscant, Dromund, Umbara) still require hundreds and HUNDREDS of decorations to complete. It's high time for a really compact apartment stronghold and Kaliyo's Zakuul Apartment has been long requested and it's simply perfect for the purpouse. Personal Fleet Ship/Station is the other most often requested stronghold. People love guildships, but they have their disadvantages - mainly being the shared aspect and difficulties of expanding the ships. Players wish to have an access to fleet chat while still being able to design their own Fleet Ship/Space Station. And considering that this is Star Wars, it's only fitting we would have a personal space stronghold. Personally, I would suggest adding real Starfighter models into such stronghold, displaying all the customizations purchased in Starfighter Hangar. This would incentivize GSF participation and cuztomization of the ships.
  25. Alderaan SH may look intimidating but it's actually one of the easiest (if not THE easiest) strongholds to decorate. Good hooks placement, number and variety (for once) and lots of symetrical areas and room almost make the decorations arrange themselves once you start. I was shocked how quickly and effortlessly it was getting filled up. Sure, getting to full 100% aint easy as with any SH, but that's a different thing. Whenever I get frustrated with decorating Rishi (which is often...) I jump back to Alderaan for some "easy time" heh
