  1. I want to take a second to talk about my feelings. Sometimes bolster makes me sad and sometimes bolster makes me angry. Not once has it made me happy. But then we get events like the Rakghoul Tunnels, where my companion has more expertise than the average red name. Happiness.
  2. On top of that the OWPvP could have an 'event' or one of those 'story'/'explanation' things that I spam spacebar through faster than the kessel run anyway. This story could make it not only faction neutral but also introduce a third faction. Some kind of auto-balance hoo ha ensures that not everyone enlists for X faction. Then alluva sudden Imps & Pubs are fighting side by side for a shared objective against two other groups of opponents.
  3. Yeah I remember my first couple times getting netted I was hitting force cloak and phasewalk repeatedly, that was annoying. I remember my first phasewalks @ level 53 & 54 as well though - on Novarre Coast I'd go 1v2 or 1v3 off node and phasewalk to the health pack when I got low... had some guy report me for hacking. I guess he didn't read the patch notes on the new Sin ability when the level cap first raised. Back on topic to Phasewalk though, you'd think if I have the ability to walk between phases that a puny little electronet wouldn't be enough to stop me, since, you know I leave that phase and the net where it is. I think they should rename it: Inter-dimensional Phase Locking Net of You're Going *********** Nowhere
  4. I pug'd my Sin from 10 - 55 and beyond. It's been a great experience for me. If the game looks like an early loss I'll make a couple people on the other team miserable racking up solo kills. After you get force cloak on lower CD up the decept tree, in my experience; 3 or more deaths is a bad game for me - even without support. In WZ lifetime solo kills > overall number of deaths. If you don't care about fluff damage numbers it is a great class. Put a companion in PvP gear as well and you can seriously cause some painfor the opposite faction during events/makeb etc.
  5. So Slingers and Snipers can roll out of the Electro-net effect or did they have to trinket as well? If they can roll out, what is the justification for an Assassin not being able to Phasewalk out?
  6. Thanks for the replies even though they are somewhat conflicting! Please allow me to simplify my question - Can I pull Exalted Inquisitor Gear in to the inventory of my Marauder or Juggernaut? I wish the Exalted Gear was a little more versatile! Maybe change the requirements from Legacy Level 40 - Class Bound to Must have 55 of said class to buy, but then it just becomes Bound to Legacy Adaptive EDIT: I would be testing this myself if I wasn't stuck in my cubicle.
  7. Hello Forum, I have a question about the Exalted Legacy Gear available from Dromund Kaas. I currently have two sets, Exalted Inquisitor Gear on my Assassin is full Obroan and Exalted Marauder Gear is full Conqueror. Most of my PvE sets are in old Gree armor which I am not worried about because it isn't class restricted and is adaptive. My question is about sending this gear around to my other characters for their companions to have a full PvP set. The Exalted Inquisitor Armor says it requires class Sith Inquisitor, does this mean I won't be able to extract the pieces from my mailbox on an Imperial Agent and equip it on an Inquisitor companion - assuming the IA gets an Inq companion that is. Also I'd like to point out that this Legacy Armor which requires Legacy Level 40 for Exalted and is some of the more expensive armor in the game only has 80 durability. I think that is pretty weak considering every single piece of Cartel Market armor that I've seen has 120. Sorry for going off subject for a second, I'm also assuming that if I level a Shadow I will not be able to send over my Exalted Inq gear for him to use. Thanks!
  8. It looks like you are burning a crit Smash Proc from Charge by using Obliterate early pretty frequently.
  9. I promise those snipers were only in there to get comms for their Relics. They PvE hard and pretty much suck at PvP, I promise. Source: I know them.
  10. I find Khem useful on my Deception Sin as he sets up my Mauls.
  11. I got get lots of rage whispers in WZs on my Sin, more than any other class I've PvP'd with that's for sure. Whether it be Phasewalking to Health Nodes (cheating) or taking someone 100 - 0 while stun-locked (only female organs play like this) if their CC breaker is down, I feel like I am just a really irritating opponent. And that's a lot of fun. My favorite one yesterday was from a sniper: "I could kill me faster on my Sin you (female organ)". My response: "Don't kill yourself, here's a suicide prevention hotline (fake number here)" What are some of your rage whispers like? Please don't use expletives, save that for the people re-spawning.
  12. But I like Vicious Slash; with it, I can smash more often.
  13. 3 pieces is good, continue building out your new PvP set! My last character, now a 55 Deception Sin had max Reg WZ & Ranked WZ comms when I hit 55 to help get a head start on gearing. I saved most of the ranked comms since 2.4 was so close to launch when I hit 55 however. I did have time to grind out a full Partisan set before 2.4 on that character and this is what I recommend: It takes some experimentation to determine what is the best item to slot when you do not have Partisan, Conqueror or Obroan. I believe at this point it time the best item to retain max expertise as well as stats will be a level 53 blue - or for modular items blue 66 mods. That should at least bring the rest of your gear, with bolster, to an effectual recruit level. Everything else aside, Intimidating Roar and Intercede should be your best friends when getting focused. I set up synergies for my keybinds for quick reaction times: Shift + C = Intimidating Roar (all CC abilities are Modifier + C across all my characters) Ctrl + Q = Intercede (all Leap/Primary openers are Modifer + Q) So when I start getting focused it's a quick Shift + C, Ctrl + Tab (target nearest ally), Ctrl (it's still held down) + Q. I get a 10% health boost and hopefully a little time/space to re-asses the situation.
  14. Again, if you are using PvE item levels over 65 purples you are gimping the amount of expertise you are receiving. Even when not fully geared, now in Conqueror, there is not reason not to have less than 2018 bolstered expertise in a WZ. If you look at your stats and you have less than that, you are doing something wrong.
  15. Based on the items levels that you're throwing out there I am assuming you are not in any PvP gear on any of your characters? If you do not have PvP gear it is not recommended using your highest end PvE gear as it will not bolster correctly. Using PvE 69s will gimp yourself in a WZ. At most use item level 66 blues.
  16. This is all I do in Huttball, between levels 20 - 29 and 45 - 54 of lowbie PvP I'll notify my team that I'm waiting in the EZ for a pass then pick targets to solo out of their spawn. After level 51 it started being a lot more fun. If I picked a poor target and 3 more spawned to come help him I'd drop in to the pit and they'd follow, then I'd phasewalk back up out of the pit and in to the end zone again. I just hit 55 on my Sin last night, almost full Partisan augmented already so hopefully I'll be back to the same strategy in 55 PuGs soon.
  17. Those are all 1v1s. If you lose a 1v1 as a Sin you're bad. That's not a Sin in group fights out of stealth, it's spike damage from stealth openers.
  18. I signed this thread when it was on the PTS forum before it went live. Unstoppable/Unremitting was my favorite part of being a Jugg/Guard. I'm so fricking tired of jumping on a Strong 4-Legged Droid in a FP and getting knocked back every god forsaken time.
  19. In less than a month before 2.0 I geared two fresh 50s in fully augmented WH that were competitive enough for my liking in WZs. Yes, I did funnel sets through Legacy Armor from my main excluding MH/OH/Relics/Implants/Ear. I was still at a disadvantage for a considerable amount of time. In that time I played smarter, chose my fights carefully and increased my skill as a player in doing so. Bolster is going to create less interest in WZs, you aren't going to need a full PvP set to do OWPvP event dailies anymore, not that you did before... but if I saw you trying to take the center Pylon on Ilum in Rakata you were about to get crushed. PvE centric players have plenty of advantages in the content they choose to spend most of their time playing, PvP centric players should enjoy the same rewards - especially in OWPvP events. Remove Bolster from all 55 WZs and OW areas. For those of you that share my opinion and also rolled a PvP SERVER FFS this is completely ridiculous. OR Leave Bolster how it is and take Expertise OFF of all the PvP gear but make the top tier PvP sets = top tier PvE sets for main stat/secondary and tertiary stats. Then the people that gear through PvP can be geared enough to run PvE content without knowing how to tank swap or stop DPS on a debuff.
  20. /signed And to all people that think gear is not equal to skill, in a MMO it is. Gear is not just a time sink, stat allocation and priority is a skill that is pivotal in understanding your strengths and weaknesses as an Advanced Class. In augmented & min/maxed WH pre-2.0 I beat plenty of augmented & min/maxed EWH in isolated 1v1s. Bolster does not belong in the 55 WZ bracket at all.
  21. I finished all the PvE Weeklies except the World Bosses on my 55 Jugg Tank so I guess I'll just go level my Marauder or Powertech to 55 to start sending more Jugg Tank gear through the Legacy. I'd rather not do it that way but I'm having a hard way of getting more Elite comms at the moment.
  22. So with Tionese, Columni & Rakata gone what will HM FPs drop? Just comms?
