So very much this: Dailies, OPs, HM FPs... these are your bread and butter... you will have 5 mill in no time just doing those at a moderate pace. Doing every daily and every weekly for a month will have you rich enough to get anything you want or need for any and all of your toons AND comps.

The funny thing is that I have played MMOs that had guild bases... and they didn't break the game! the "common areas" (fleet) were still busy as hell because the guild base did not have vital/extensively used items like PvP or Ops/raid terminals. You could customize your base, have meeting in your base, RP and PvP in your base, and those games were fun. Why are there so many players that think this is crazy? Explain why?

Let me begin by saying I love GSF, but suck hard at it... worst player ever... maybe not the worst, but I suck, still learning. If I am (clumsily) chasing a target for like 5 minutes trying to take him/her down and a teammate comes along and "steals" my kill... I just move on to the next one and silently thank the guy/girl that helped. (if I take the time to type "ty" I WILL get killed) What do I care if someone else gets the kill point? I was still having fun. OP, you are too serious about this G-A-M-E. J/S.

I just wanted to add my 2 cents here... As someone who has one HELL of a protracted learning curve when it comes to MMO PvP (WZ's and GSF), I think the idea of skill imbalance in GSF is very accurate. It takes time to get good at this part of the game. It took me a while (and a newer, shinier, upgraded computer) to get useful in WZ's. I am far from being one of the best, but I can hold my own. Same goes for GSF, I started with 0 kills and something like 50 deaths (exaggerated... but not by much). The more that I play it, the better I get. Spawn camping is lame, I just try and get around them hide and wait to strike from behind to distract them until the better players can get out and kill them. I just like playing and have fun every time.
