  1. ** STOP CREATING NEW PLANETS - OPEN UP EXISTING ONES ** We DO NOT NEED more planets. We already have several entire planets that are NOT being used to their full potential. Start opening up new areas. It could be for anything. Open up new areas that are more open and natural looking. You could add unique crafting materials and new creatures to the game. Create more of a sense of that Star Wars exploration. It should not just involve following a main story or quests. In a universe that involves traveling to other planets, exploration should be a huge thing in my opinion. Give players something else to do or achieve. Please Bioware... use the Elder Scrolls games as a guide as to how to make a planet seem more natural and realistic. I don't mean updated visuals. I don't mean start adding castles and old vampire ruins =p None of the playable areas in any of the planets feel really open or really natural. It's almost like playing Dragon Age II in some areas. Too many walls, not enough places to explore. This is STAR WARS. ** Massive Creatures for ultimate mini-games ** So let's say a player finds a cave and ventures in... only to find that there is giant worm on it's way out of the massive tunnel =) A special interface opens. Let's say you're a Sith Warrior / Inquisitor. One button to use the force to bring down a ceiling of rock on the monsters head, stunning it for a few seconds. Another button to use a special force attack (i.e. Sith Warrior can use the force to drive the monsters head into the grown causing massive damage) and a third button to help you run / jump further up and away in order to reach the exit. Rancors - Giant creatures in this game were done up all wrong. You shouldn't be able to have a melee battle with a rancor the size of a building. Mini game! Rancor snatches you up and is going to swallow you whole unless you press the appropriate button at the right time. Use the force and other class abilities to change things up and make questing / exploring / adventuring more interesting. Not every fight should be button mashing. ** A MMO without swimming?? A STAR WARS Universe where Jedi or Sith can't swim?? ** Planets who's oceans only reach your ankles?? For the love of God or Yoda please add swimming. Add underwater ruins and cities. Sunken star ships with hidden loot. Add random world boss encounters where giant sea creatures try to attack a city. Remember that awesome battle on Theramore Island in World of Warcraft with the sea monster? I'm not saying to copy WoW but you guys definitely should continue to use their ideas and incorporate it into the Star Wars Universe. Again, thank you Bioware. The game is great. But with so much competition out there, and games like Elder Scrolls Online coming, the fact that WoW is STILL a heavy hitter... I really think that this game has the potential to be so much better and bring back players who lost interest.
  2. Let's get a little Empire Strikes Back in there. I would LOVE to see PVP battles to take an enemy base that is a combination of star ships and ground troops. Maybe even a mini game that involves controlling either the giant AT walker units and massive blaster turrents to destroy the walkers. Players in vehicles would destroy shield generators and ground troops would have to move in to take over the base by defeating the general just like Alterac Valley from World of Warcraft. Or in space - attacking players would have to breach the hull of a massive ship (defending players). Once the attackers destroy the shield / breach hull, the PVP battle goes into phase 2 and involves boarding the ship and taking over the bridge. Defending players are also assisted by elite npcs. Anyway just some ideas. I have always loved the idea that this game represents. I just think Bioware needs to continue to "Star Wars" up the game. Thank you Bioware for all the amazing hard work. Great game. I really have a lot of fun with it when I have the time to play.
  3. I think when players purchase something from the GTN or certain vendors, the money they spend should earn "points". After enough players purchase enough from either the GTN or a certain vendor (i.e. Lightside Vendor) a unique or rare piece of equipment becomes available for a limited time. Speeder Vendors can offer a rare speeder that gets players travelling a bit faster than the standard and so forth. Same thing with the GTN. Make the spending and the game economy mean a bit more than the standard MMO structure.
  4. Hello. I'm sure this has been brought up a million times. I just want to throw my opinion out there. Plus I don't feel like going through thousands of threads =p I just wanted to talk a bit about playable areas on planets. I've read a lot of comments where players are asking for more planets. People did reach level 50 fairly quickly of course and some people get bored apparently... which is understandable. However, I don't think Bioware should add more planets. I mean, we have entire PLANETS already. So instead of wasting money and time in developing new stuff (for now at least) why not just add MORE areas to the planets that we already have. Some areas feel huge... like Tarris for example. I loved it... but maaaaan I felt like I was there forever doing the quests lol. But the thing is... it's a whole planet that's out there. The playable area of Tarris is just a spec. So you can easily just expand by simply adding large open areas and maybe add new hidden world bosses with unique equipment. More hidden caves, ancient ruins or other things just randomly tossed about. They don't even have to do anything with the story. It can simply be a matter of exploration. Sort of like the datacrons. We dont need more voice over work for this. Just build landscapes with tons of hidden areas. More giant creatures hiding in the "dark places of the world". This way planets feel more like planets. You can even put a special 4 man heroic bounty board specifically to find and subdue legendary creatures, win trophies to add to your ship, or powerful weapons / armor / mounts / pets that are extremely rare drops. This way, a planet feels like a planet and it really fills up that sense of exploration to the max. Some people love it. Some people I know could care less but I'm just throwing it out there anyway. My point is... don't put more money into new designs when what you have already is incredible. I know you will still have to spend money on putting more into it... but using what already exist in game will take much less time and less money. In the future SURE. Add new "discovered" areas, planets, etc. But right now, what you've done is great and it should just be built upon. I'm sure it would be less expensive and quicker to use the templates or designs already created. Hell, you can even have guilds that build up to a certain number of members able to purchase "land" on a planet and have their own virtual community. Like housing, shops for crafters where people can purchase what they have even if the player is logged out. I guess for role players that would be pretty cool. Anyway, this is just my opinion is all. This is not a complaint at all. I love the game and I really do think it sorely beats any other MMO and quite a few single player games out there into the ground.
