  1. Yeah. It was the single-most disappointing thing to me and my partner regarding 3.0, and I was among the people complaining about it back then. I was hopeful that the noise we made would inspire a different direction, but it only got much, much worse with 4.0, which abruptly killed off our shared swtor story adventures. I'm still bitter about it.
  2. It won't vanish if you don't move first (doesn't need to be another room, running circles in the one room will do fine) but I find that the longer you take before you do move, the less likely the thing is to vanish. It getting stuck happens to me a lot more when, after logging on, I spend half an hour or so on that perfect spot between my legacy bay and gtn kiosk, than when I start walking around immediately--though I've had to reset UI to get it to go even then, regardless of how many rooms I walked through. I think the trouble is that it's not a clear-cut thing to reproduce. I know when it's more likely to happen, but I can't purposefully reproduce it on command. That may be a factor in the lack of a fix.
  3. I thought they were GSI droids? You know.. Galac--err, Godlike Solutions Industries..
  4. It has its uses, but.. it's rather hit and miss. Outside of instanced areas I get a lot more use out of it than in the usually instanced chapters, but even when looking at one type of content.. on Nathema there are several 'ambush' moments where enemies will suddenly spawn in to attack, but they won't if you're stealthed, whereas in the new flashpoint they've tried every trick they could think of to make stealthing as much of a nightmare as they could. In the end I would say.. if you pick a stealther just to be stealthing, you'll run into a fair share of disappointment, but they're fun classes to play regardless, and will still be able to get you through many areas faster.
  5. I didn't have any trouble with the FP, only didn't finish once because a bug blocked progression, have only died once as a result of a stealth/speedrun experiment, but I normally play harder content and know I'm not the kind of player to use as a benchmark for story mode. That disclaimer aside, I still feel like I have something to note here. I've not done it in Veteran yet, but comparing Master with Story, the thing that sticks out to me is that Master Mode feels much faster and smoother than Story because of the relative trash HP. Story trash has only marginally lower HP than Master trash, with elites not being far off from the HP some bosses have. I think this gives both Bask Sun and the final boss a radically different dynamic, because their extras/adds follow the same pattern, becoming a much more punishing addition, relatively speaking, on Story than on Master. I think a drastic reduction of trash/add HP on Story would go a long way in making it easier to manage for players that are having trouble now, and in making it a bunch less tedious for everyone.
  6. I usually have this if I swap servers multiple times in a fairly short amount of time. If I spend some time on a server I just switched to, then I can swap again without crashing later.
  7. Is it "Locate the Energy Source" after picking up some mission items from the area with the tentacles? If so, you need to use the mission items (either click the icon on the mission tracker, or in the mission items tab of inventory) to update the mission. If it's not that.. then I don't know where you're stuck at..
  8. Well, assuming you match the level requirement (afaik this should just be lvl50, but I know it's mucked up for one of the Forged Alliances FPs, which requires something like lvl62 or 63 while the rest of them require 60) then you should be able to pick it up by clicking the NPC or selecting it from the solo-tab on groupfinder, if you don't already have another version of the flashpoint in your mission log. If you still have the [VETERAN] mission open, you will need to drop that first. If you have the required level and don't have the veteran mission active, and neither the npc nor the solo tab will offer the story version, then I'd be inclined to suggest trying to grab a few levels from wherever you can, because at least one flashpoint has the incorrect level requirement for offering the story mode. If that doesn't help, then I don't really know.
  9. Well.. there's this that might be helpful, but I'd like to point out that False Emperor does (or should) have a story/solo mode. (Edit: "Should" because.. I've done it many times on story mode, but not recently, and sometimes things break..)
  10. I've gotten hundreds of parcels with old snowball, newly bought snowball and cannon, on characters that already had them slotted on bars and characters that did not. I don't see any difference with previous years. They've all produced parcels.
  11. Well I don't actually disagree with the specifics you mention, I was just trying to point out that this was (probably, I believe) not a change aimed at the AV relics, but that they got hit by a change to underlying functionality. I think it's relevant because it means that simply changing it back will change back all of them, and, as I understand it, it was an intentional fix to (other) clicky relics. I don't have a particularly strong opinion on whether or not this change was worth making, so I have not shared it. It would be nice if they 'fixed' the AV relics, it could be even better if they replaced them with reusable vaccines or such, but I do not believe the change was targeting these relics, and I do believe that the concept of benefiting from the buff of one (combat) relic (even if trivial) while actively using another was unintended. I can imagine better uses of development time, but I was reacting to how it was presented as an attack on these relics specifically, when it seems much more likely to me that they got caught in the crossfire. If I was more concise, I might have just said: Hanlon's razor.
  12. Well it wasn't like they singled out these relics. People were using clicky combat relics in ways that were not intended, clicking and swapping them out. In the same patch they shut down several other 'tricks' like that. I'm sure they they just never even thought about the event relics until people started complaining about it. Either way, it was a convenience item, and if you earn the reputation and spend the credits to get an item for the convenience of not having to pick up individual consumables anymore, then "just go pick up those consumables" should not be the solution. I hope they find a way to add back the convenience, but it also took them over five years to fix the Forcequake animation, so I'm not terribly optimistic about expecting fixes for anything that's not new content.
  13. They told us we'd get the same three sets of rewards over and over again, what is there to wait for?
  14. Except the achievement date is from years before the Rishi stronghold was released..
  15. This looks to be what you're missing. I can't add to what it is for, I don't remember, but.. there's the name.
  16. Does the character in question have another version of one of the FPs open? If you have, for example, [sTORY] or [MASTER] of a flashpoint on your mission log then it won't always let you know that the veteran equivalent has been disabled, but it will prevent the reward for random. That has gotten me a few times. I've noticed no issues concerning story progress.
  17. It happens when the class buffs were applied/refreshed by someone of a higher level than you. You won't be able to refresh them then until they wear off or you click them away.
  18. Could it be the same issue as reported here? http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=986439
  19. I suspect OP is mostly based on a misunderstanding. Starting the new story will certainly auto-complete things that came before, and perhaps this step of starting the story missions on Onderon could've been explained as 'going to Onderon', or such, but simply traveling there and participating in an event will not lock you out of anything. This thing you "read on the forums somewhere" will have been about the story content specifically.
  20. I don't generally begrudge people nice things, but as someone who approaches eight years of continuous sub, who will be close to nine years of sub for the 10th anniversary, it'd feel rather messed up if someone who was subbed only for the first and tenth year would get awarded something that someone with nine continuous years did not. If there's gonna be something for founders, then just for the ones that have been here and subbed for the full ten years, in my opinion. Even that, though.. I was not upset with the Founder-to-five-years reward, but if that sort of thing is going to be a pattern, without any other sort of tier system, then with every time it happens it's going to be feeling more sour, that people that have been here a little longer than I've been are appreciated more than I am, but that I'm not appreciated any more than someone subscribing yesterday. I would hope and expect that they plan to do something to try and make everyone happy, though, with how they've already been talking about it even though it's more than a year away still.
  21. I seem to vaguely recall there being a glitch that could cause one to appear unguilded, but it happened to me too long ago to remember whether it affected one or more/all characters, though I believe the matter resolved itself. Here's to hoping it is/was something temporary like that. Any alternate scenario I can think of would still require GM status to be lost due to inactivity.
  22. In real life there are millionaires, billionaires, multi-billionaires. I have to be be very careful about what I spend money on, or I won't have enough to eat from. A hundred euro (or dollars) is a lot of money to me. The game effectively offers equal opportunities to everyone, but people still bring with them different amounts of time to play, preferred activities, spending habits and dedication. You get so many different answers because there is no real answer. My almost two billion credits is decidedly less than what some people have, though I've also spent at least a billion credits just this year. I also fund four guild banks so people can summon groups and repair gear and have guild perks. I don't try to make credits, but I know how to get the most out of the content that I play for my enjoyment. I have every shiny in the game that I could hope to want, except for a few drops from content that I rarely play. I feel stupidly rich in this game, even though I know there are many people with a lot more credits.
  23. There's a counter behind the.. err.. counter. You can see how many you need and how many are left in the current course, no need to count. I do agree, though. When I get to the point of "Pfff.. how many do I have to go?" and look at the counter in the first course, I'm usually at 22-24, when I do so in the third or fourth, I've not even reached 10 yet. It feels longer.
  24. Reading this thread makes it seem like people are worried they won't be able to access their money once the sun sets. Could we please stop saying "savings"? It makes no sense and hurts my brain. Thank you.
  25. Well.. I think many people will know about the 'Kaliyo-problem' there. You could see them glitching around. I don't have any specifics, but that was a pretty solid sign that there were bots tasked to do something in there.
