  1. There is a 1440cc set on the cartel that looks similar. I am pretty sure it is called the Clandestine Officer Set or something along those lines.
  2. The roll is in an annoying position as it is good for the wrong things. For getting to the huttball first, the roll is great. However, for closing those last couple of metres to open up on a person, it isn't really that good, because of its high energy cost. If you roll then start a fight immediately afterwards, then you start off with only 75 energy, which completely screws up energy management. @johnelias: if you go to the torparse dummy statistics, the first non slinger/sniper is Invic, which is carlenux's operative.
  3. Firstly, most of this comes from PvP experience with concealment. In PvE I am a healer but I occasionally dabble in DPS and that is only for SM ops. I find that concealment has a couple of problems and I shall flesh them out below: Reliance on Hidden Strike ie. stealth Substandard burst if you get unlucky with crits Energy managment is very luck based Need to stand behind a target Revitalisers Reliance on Hidden Strike Any concealment PvP'er knows that bane of getting kicked out of stealth by a random AoE ability. Not being able to get of a hidden strike, which gives you a TA, a 2 seconds stun and a good amount of damage, is a huge dent to our damage potential, so if we lose that, the fight is usually lost. I propose that middle tree should get a buff to shield probe, that if it absorbs damage when you are in cloak, that damage will not break you out. In addition, shield probe should get it's strength buffed when in stealth, so a random Smash doesn't break us out. This means that an enemy Force in Balance won't accidentally hit you and force you out of stealth. In addition, it would be good for all those pesky bosses in PvE that open with an AoE ability. Substandard burst if you get unlucky with crits A concealment operative who gets a couple of crits in their opener can be devastating, however the chances of that happening are once in a blue moon. Acid blade should give a buff to the crit chance of Hidden Strike and Backstab if it is applied. It should be a large buff to Hidden Strike (eg. 60%) so it is an almost guaranteed crit and a smaller Backstab (eg.30%). To compensate for this, the damage delt by the Acid Blade DoT would have to be reduced, but it would give the class a bit more burst. Energy managment is very luck based In concealment, a good chunk of you energy management comes from proccing a collateral strike off Laceration. If you get lucky with procs, then the energy management will be good. If you are unlucky, then don't expect to be doing much damage any time soon. Maybe it is just my me doing a bad rotation or something, but I only get good energy management when the stars align. As a though, maybe Calculated Frenzy could be changed so it gives an energy regen boost, along with alacrity. In addition to that, the energy return on collateral strike should be changed to be 5%/10% of max energy instead of just 5/10, to give some value to the 4 piece enforcers set bonus (5 extra energy). Need to stand behind a target This is mainly a QoL complaint, however the need to stand behind someone to activate a skill is one of the most ridiculous I have seen. If we have aggro on a PvE mob, why shouldn't we be able to execute what is arguably one of the most important moves in our rotation. Also for PvP, if you activate Backstab and then the person turns to face you, the move will be cancelled. The animation will play, but no damage goes out and it is not on cooldown. I see no real reason for this to be in the game, as it adds absolutly nothing to gameplay. Revitalisers Great skill tree move pre 2.0, absolutely useless now. A tiny heal once every 2 minutes is laughable. Take it out and add in the 30% AoE damage reduction that people have been asking for. IMO, the other 2 skill trees are in excellent shape right now and need no changes. Well maybe the energy cost on Kolto Probe needs to be nerfed a bit, but you didn't hear it from me
  4. There are a couple of things that people complain about for operatives/scoundrels, and my thoughts on it. BTW my main is an operative so I do have an idea what I am talking about. Heals: The problem with operatives is the healing tree got 2 buffs in 2.0 when it only needed one. The first buff is that all hots give upper hand/tactical advantage not just slow release medpack/kolto probe. The second is that the cost of slow release medpack/kolto probe got reduced with a new skill tree move. Personally I find that the first buff was needed and the second was not, as it changed the mechanic from spamming slow release medpack/kolto probe everywhere to actually using healing abilities. The second buff was to help supplement the old healing style. If the cost of slow release medpack/kolto probe was restored to it's old state then it would make energy managment in the spec actually exist, and not just easy mode that it is now. Scamper/Exfiltrate: This ability was actually needed as the operative/scoundrel was the only melee class that didn't get an ability that got you closer to an enemy. Juggernaut: Force Leap Marauder: Force Leap Assasin: Force Speed Powertech: Towcable Operative: ???? However they made it bad at what it should be good at. With its energy cost of 25 it is impossible to start a fight with it as it stuffs up energy managment for the rest of the fight so you can't use it to start a fight in dps spec, which is what it should be used for. They should give it a 6 second cooldown and lower its energy cost, so you can actually start fights with it. If anything it is to get buffed for the Operative it should be the concealment tree, as it is has average burst and average sustained due to energy managment issues and bad damage, making lethality the only good dps spec for the operative, which has a high ramp up time making it average for PvP.
  5. I did the numbers with all of the buffs (imperial education and inq buff and warrior buff) applied and it shows that augmenting with power only gives 0.9408 bonus damage compared to cunning. In addition augmenting with cunning gives 1.53216% extra crit chance. So what do you want less than one bonus damage or 1.53% crit. Cunning is definantly the way to go. BTW Main stat crit chance has no cap.
  6. I do understand what you are saying with the repair bills, and I have been in groups like that before (Dash'rode at 30% by the time the last shield went down SM S&V, *sigh*), so I understand what you are saying. In addition alot of people are not happy with the lack of gear progression in PvP. And even though NiM raids are difficult, it is also hard to get a max PvP rating, and most people are pressed for ranked commendations as there is always that one mod that needs optimising. I do both PvP and PvE, and if you have a bad group, you do come off better if it is PvP, but if you have a good group, PvE content will give much, much greater rewards.
  7. I think what the OP is trying to say is that Raiders have an unfair distribution of all the rewards in the game. For instance I did a 8 man SM TFB last night and I earned 200K credits (that doesn't include the weekly mission afterwards) and took me around 2 hours. From what is arguably the easiest level 55 raid in the game. For me to get the same from PvP, it would require around 40 victories (A PvP win gives 5000 credits). And not every PvP is a victory either so it would take me around 60 games to get the same amount of credits. This is hardly an even balance. And getting back to the topic of speeders, the NiM raids (not including EV and KP) drop: The Tank Praxon Firaxa Helix Hyperpod Titan 6 Containment Vehicle One of those (the Praxon) is a reskin and the other 3 are unique models. If you compare this to PvP there is one speeder that exists for the best PvP'ers, The Ubrikki Warrider. It costs 1000 ranked commedations and requirers the highest PvP ranking (2200). This speeder is a reskin of one of the most common in the game, so compared to the unique models of the NiM speeders, this is not a very even distribution of rewards for each of the major playstyles. To make it fair, I believe that there should be a new, unique PvP speeder that is incredibly hard to acquire. For instance, if such a speeder cost 4000 ranked commendations and maximum PvP rating (2200), it wouldn't be avalible to most of the population as only the best PvP'ers would have that ranking and that many ranked commendations to spare. This would only solve one aspect of the problem, as there is still a severe credit imbalance between raiders and PvP'ers but it would be a start.
  8. You can schematics in SM EV from drops off random trash. I did it last week and the schematics for an Exotech Might Stim and a Tionese Mod dropped.
  9. I was clicking on the show details button for the covert energy armour to see what the full set is, however clicking on the button does not open any menu. After trying this on some other armour sets I found that only some of them work (such as the Sand people pillager set and the Eradicators Suit) and others don't (covert energy set, all the slave girl sets, Voss Dignitary Outfit and others). As far as I know this was working before the last patch, so it seems to be introduced with 2.2.1 Thanks Jack EDIT When selecting an item that doesn't work and then one that does the items listed in the one that does shall include those that are from the item that does not work. For instance when I select show details for the covert energy set (doesn't work) and the for the Cathar Warstaff (does work) I get this in the window http://img825.imageshack.us/img825/3533/zun3.jpg
  10. Concealment operatives opening with Backstab. YOU ARE LEVEL 48, USE HIDDEN STRIKE. And that Operative was even specced into having the faceplant on Hidden Strike as well...
  11. I would hardly say that GD is a dead server. PvP que times are perfectly reasonable and group finder works more than quick enough. The other day me and my friend qued for a group finder on our level 20 characters and got one in a minute. Likewise, we did one on our 50's and we only had a 2 minute wait. In fact the guild I am in has started to cut down on the number of members as it was getting too large. Americans have always been pampered in games with their low pings. In fact I have heard of people (in different games) rage quit because their ping was over 100, where Australians almost always have to cope with this. The fact that we had local servers for SWTOR was one of the main calling cards for the game. I would be all for the APAC servers merging into one, as I like my low pings and fluidity I get from it. I am sure that the RP, PvE and PvP communities would be able to peacefully coexist on one APAC server, in fact I have heard of many people suggest this even before this recent announcement.
