  1. The 200 crit rating is worth it in my opinion. In operations there are times when you need to use things such as the roll (for dodging AoE's, clearing concussion mine, getting back from Raptus' teleport) which has a huge energy cost and a little bit of crit can help recover for the energy that is spent. Also in a raid Orbital sometimes has to be used at less than optimal times, again making energy quiet hard to manage. Also drop the 61 set bonus for Verpine armourings. Backstab isn't used enough to justify the loss of cunning that happens with the old pieces.
  2. The problem I have with smash spec is that they not only have good burst damage, but they also have amazing gap closing and anti kiting abilities (double leap and push/stealth depending on the class), good survivability, and good crowd control. In addition there is no way that their damage can be dodged, except for a lucky pushback forcing then to waste their smash. The problem is not the damage itself, but he huge amount if other tools that the spec has it disposal.
  3. Recuperative Nanotech (your AoE heal) is the best heal you have available, so make sure you are using it as much as possible, even if it is only on one target. Kolto Infusion should be used on the tank when you have 85+ energy and 2 or more TA. If you do it with less energy, you will have to follow it up with a diagnostic scan. Kolto probes on at least the tank, it will assist with TA generation. Remember Kolto Injection gives one TA, so that means you can use a surgical probe straight after it and do a huge heal if they both crit.
  4. Umm, a huge number of abilities in the game have an activation delay, so you aren't alone in this.
  5. The most annoying mechanic I have found as an APAC player is Corrupter Zero's Anti-Grav Field. As a melee dps it is almost impossible to dodge since even though on my end I am out of the AOE, server side I am not.
  6. Maybe he receives so much crap talk because he stalks almost every female toon on the server
  7. Name: Yozora'mikazuki Level: 15 Screenshot Link: http://img43.imageshack.us/img43/6690/o9ao.jpg Record Broken: Highest Damage in a Single Hit (10-29) Value: 11228 Date of SS taken: 2/12/2013 (2 December 2013)
  8. I play both a dps sage and dps operative in pvp and I find both to be very squishy. I do find that an operative can do more damage under pressure, however the sage does have a 30 metre range. However both of the classes just need someone to look at them and they die.
  9. If you play an arena and there is a Sorc on the enemy team and a healer, usually the strategy is to target the Sorc as they usually die quick enough heals can't be put out on them. When they pop their invincibility bubble, target the healer and when they drop it, you target the sorc again for the kill.
  10. No For a Sorc (and I think for assassins as well) not to deflect your attacks, you need 110% accuracy as they have a 10% defense chance as opposed to the normal 5% that most classes have. This supposedly makes up for their use of light armour.
  11. I have found what the problem is. Even though it says it is healing me for 600, it is actually healing for 600 for each target. So the healing done is the correct amount it is just the fly text is wrong.

    Your worst match?

When we I was doing an Imp v Imp game and someone on the enemy team types into general chat that, they were all going grass. So 6 people go to grass
  13. Well the PTS patch notes are up and it appears that Bioware has not made one change from the Brainstorming threads that they posted.
  14. I was looking at the tooltips for my 55 sage today and realised that Force In Balance says So that means without the talent higher in the tree, it should be healing me for for 5% of my max health. My sage has 30 019 hp, therefore I should be getting 1501 health from hitting 5 targets with FiB. So I went to Oricon and used it on a group of 5 mobs and saw that it was only healing me for 300 which is 1% of my max health. In addition, using FiB on only one target healed me for 300. So is this a bug or is there something that I don't understand about Force in Balance. NOTE: When I tried this I didn't spec psychic absorption, the heal increase from DOT's and FiB. When I tried it with that specced, FiB was healing me for 600hp or 2% of my max health no matter how many targets I hit.
  15. The only Australian guild that I know of that actually does anything is Malevolence. You might remember it from Gav (it was the guild that was formed after the Sun Guard/Praxium merger.)
  16. In 2.4 full AP will be the best PT PvE tree.
  17. I have been seeing this for a Sniper Ambushes as well
  18. Umm, maybe healer operatives don't need it, but before roll, DPS operatives were the easiest kited melee DPS in the game since they had no speed boost, jump or pull. Also, since you're a tank, you won't have the damage to kill any good healer.
  19. Funny, I see more smash warriors than operative healers any day.
  20. Umm Mando's (especially Gunnery) already have a large amount of CC and CC immunity. Remember CC abilities: Stock Strike Root Electro Net Cryo Grenade Pushback w/ slow Concussion Charge (not that great for PvP but it is still there) CC immunity: Stun breaker Hold the Line (10 second duration, 30 second cooldown IIRC for gunnery) If you compare this to a telekinetics sage: CC abilities: Force Stun Bubble Stun Force Slow Pushback with root (worse than a commandos due to being conal and not pushing back as far) Whirlwind (again not to useful for PvP) CC immunities Stun breaker Force barrier (3 minute cooldown, 10 second duration) Mental Alacrity (2 minute cooldown, 15 second duration) The 2 classes have similar potential for CC and CC protection so I believe that the Commandos don't really need anything more, or otherwise it will make it completely imbalanced compared to a similar class.
  21. AFAIK scrappers do perform *alright*, but the they are very limited by positional requirements (back blast) and some very bad energy management issues (this can be overcome if they are really good at the spec and have a tight rotation). In addition, DF can apply their dots at 30m as well as Wounding shots (still bound by UH though but you can pop pugnacity) and Hemorrhaging Blast at 10 metres, so for bosses with alot of movement (Asation Kephess, Op 9 ect.), your dps is slightly higher if you have to approach an enemy at range. This combined with the superior damage of DF means that there is no real point for going with scrapper.
  22. I found the exact same area on my sage when she was around level 40. What I did was get Qyzen to jump the lvl 55 champion (the wolf) and ran in and grabbed the chest. I then used for speed to get out and by the time that my companion died, the champion was out of range.
  23. Surgical Probe spam below 30% is the operatives "omgdon'tdierightnow" move. If you look on the PvP forums, then you will notice a whole lot of other people complaining about it.
