Also another short term fix though not the best: flip the large memory address ( IMAGE_FILE_LARGE_ADDRESS_AWARE ) flag for the swtor.exe client so people can choose to enable /3g memory addressing and give the engine another 600-700megs of space to keep more frequently used textures in local ram rather than disk ..
It may be late to chime in ... but about 2 years ago i mentioned this and suggested a short term fix.
Allow the players to turn off all "alpha blending" \ transparencies. some of the UI elements let us control that... others do not have the check box in the interface editor. Alpha blending is *very* gpu shader heavy.
The number of undergeard\missgeared mouse clicking noobs dramatically increased in FP,WZ and ops right after 12x.. got to the point we started booting idiots. It is way less prevalent now as the "im bored and don't know how to play well crowd" is unsubbing and going back to plants vs zombies ...
he is referring to class quest chains handing out 1 hour 5 packs. after every arc end. however since xpboosts are all of 9k running without one would be self limiting.
I dunno, a powertech on novacoast last night with only 1 healer rolled mid against 3 of us. 2 of us did 1200dps and the other guy pulled 900dps and we just could not down him and he took us apart 1 at a time. kinda fun to watch really ..
but not bursty. I think people think the powertech I weak because of no real burst pvp... that's a error it seems over a longer time in combat that techs are better.
