  1. Bounty Week -sorry my mistake. As for lazy or not -its about role playing. My character is on quiet and desolate Voss, and will not visit Fleet every day or two to check if the event is live. Also it starts on unusual hours for Europe players, so that's not the case of checking every morning. And finally -would the mail bother you so much?
  2. as the title says. the message from the forums: "The Bounty Brokers Association needs you! The BBA has taken in too many contracts for their regular membership to handle and is asking anyone Level 15 and above to answer the call of bounty hunting. Sign up, track these dangerous criminals, and prove your skills by bringing them to justice. After proving yourself with the BBA, some high-profile targets or “Kingpins” contracts will become available to you, meaning greater rewards!" could be sent as an in-game mail. I've been questing and role playing, haven't visited the fleet and almost lost the first day of the Bounty Hunters Week
  3. Hi, voice from Europe here (pardon my bad English). I feel the same as the OP and majority of you. I love the game, and am half way through (4 characters to go). I've been playing it for a year now, and I generally don't do group content. People yelling SPACEBAR (which totally ruins my rp experience), and lack of my own decision making is the reason. I also love the fact that Heroics 2+ and Heroics 4 are totally optional -they do not impact my story. I was disappointed a bit with Makeb, as the story went forward (the Malgus arc), and I was unable as solo player to experience this. I mean -there was no impact of freeing Revan, or Cademimu -this was additional experience like Heroics are. But playing Makeb I realised that a bit of a story was taken from me, as False Emperor is a group content (it is possible on lvl 55 but you get that AFTER Makeb). I think that devs going for group content is a mistake. Sure the pvp/group content community is the most vocal one, because that is what they are -they sort of like interacting with people (including devs on the forums), but what about the quiet solo players like myself? Bioware games were always about story content and that (apart from Star Wars universe) is what makes me play this game. When I finish my 8th character it may be the sad moment to leave the game. I think they could prepare solid Chapter 4. I mean, it could be even on existing planets, just new areas. Should be cheaper as general design for Alderaan or Balmorra or even Tython has been already done. We could explore another continent or zone, similar to but larger than Section X or Black Hole (as separate areas of the same design as planets). I would really appreciate some feedback from developers on this, cause I don't want to leave this game in a few months, but I'll have to after I've finished all storylines as I have no interest in gearing up for dailies and doing just them.
  4. This may be true. I just finished Makeb with my 55lvl Marauder. I expected the last fight to be very difficult, but surprise -I did it with ease with my tank companion (Pierce). Just killed all the fuel droids and then got to dps on the Archon. So I can definitely say that it is easy for marauder, might not be that easy for my Powertech
  5. Hey guys, I'm considering characters and legacy transfer to another server. I know the game isn't bug free, so my question is: have you experienced any problems with the transfer? I mean, I wouldn't like to lose half of my equipment, or achievements, or missions in progress due to some transfer bug. Whats your experience? -did anything run smoothly, or not? thanks
  6. Hi Guys, I hope you can help me out. I love playing DPS and have played marauder and gunslinger for now. This time I play Sage and have a problem: Getting a better barrel or hilt significantly increses the damage output for weapon dependant classes. How does it work for Sage? I mean, I barely use my lightsaber, so getting a better hilt would increase my melee damage, while I need force damage increased. Any tips?
  7. or he went hard to the carbonite? Seriously, playing smuggler and having multiple romances I can't help but think about our role model, The Smuggler, Han Solo himself and his love interest. Thsese was the 70' after all!
  8. maybe it should cost credits instead. Even thousands of credits (i.e. this is galaxy's best hair stylist) Anyway, reading the post title I thought it was petition for better hairstyles. Or more of them
  9. To the Developer Team I am an WinXP user and got really angry at you when the game wouldn't start. Read the forums and came under impression that the new patch is useless. When I got to play again (after you repaired your update) changed my mind. The system is pretty cool, thanks to collections I finally was able to gear my characters and companions the way I like. They (my smuggler and Risha) look really cool in Troublemaker dusters from previous update. I bought them from GTN and cloned them -thanks to ypur new feature. I'm a subscriber and have 500cc a month so unlocking new species or other features will not be that much problem for me -really no sarcasm. Changed hair in one of my characters (will change again -new look isn't what I wanted) but its only 40cc. On summer will have enough cc to unlock Cathar or whatevel I'll want. I know the game must bring profit, and despite many voices here on forums I think it is acceptable for subscribers (maybe not for most extreme ones). Anyway just wanted to give you Devs my thubs up -I think you need it after all those rants of angry players. Everyone makes mistakes including you, but overall you created a great game and you still improve it, so keep up the good work. And remember -there are many more that like your work than those who rant constantly on forums. have a nice day
  10. "better question is why do you still use XP" oh, are you one of those people that buy EVERY new Microsoft product? How was Vista? How is Win8? XP is sufficient for almost everything, and you don't have to upgrade your hardware everytime Microsoft decides they need new profit. If your advice for people that can't play SWTOR today is: buy a new comp, than think again how helpful you are.
  11. the coat is the same as Bonadan Military Suit, which was not orange, sadly. Glad they decided to make it orange. Perfect for Gunslingers, Imp Agents and my female Sith Warrior!
  12. to Hockaday: you obviously don't have this problem, that doesn't mean others like OP are that lucky. If customers have problems, then Bioware has to do something about it, or risk losing some clients. I also had/have problems with One Time Pasword. Last week I waited about 10 minutes for each email, and the passwords in them were incorrect. It was ok in the third email, which meant for me about half an hour waiting to log in. I'm from outside US, was very close to calling international customer service -was figuring out how to do it from cellular phone (which zero to put in, which to omit). It is really annoying, when you have only a couple of hours to play (e.g wife and kid away). I wonder what could I do if my mail provider went off for some reason? Mostly it is faster, but I still need to log in to my mail (which is work -risk finding emails from work and getting stressed when I want to relax) or have a cell phone with me (risk getting calls when I want to relax and play SWTOR) I have numerous secure accounts (banks, work etc), and none of them recquire waiting for email every single time. And no, I will not change my internet provider/connection just to match SWTOR login recquirements. OTP is not a good idea, I hope you guys will replace it soon with something more convenient
  13. Hey, I have very similar approach to the game. I don't pvp and tried to do every sideqest. Now I have one level 50 character (empire), one lvl 40(republic), and my third alt is lvl 20 (republic). My experience is: you will slightly outlevel the planets, but worse thing is: it might get boring for your alts. With my first characters of each fraction I tried to do everything, now I don't (didn't finish my smuggler story yet). Thing is: my Consular is repeating missions that a month ago my smuggler completed. So now I do every second planet (like someone before pointed out). For example: my smuggler decided to be the hero of Balmorra, and helped the republic with planet mission, heroics and bonus series (which are very good in my opinion). My consular will do only story mission on Balmorra (maybe one or two fun side quests), but will be more engaged in Alderaan affairs. This way, you will not kill the fun for your alts. About ecquipment concerns: having one alt that completed the story, making money is easier. You can go to some low level planet, gather some resources and craft/sell them on GTN -this is good money, easy to get, a bit boring, but enables you to send say: 200 000 to your alt (gift from uncle) to gear up himself and companions (via GTN is easiest)
  14. "but the rebels used the more expensive fighters that did out of necessity for their guerrilla tactics (and since they were much smaller in number they could afford to" It is a well established fact that the guerillas have more money and better gear than the occupant armies. This is due to the fact, that they are smaller in numbers, so they can afford it. Logical! )) Yeah, sure. Like The Talibans use more expensive guns than NATO forces (and so on, all rebels/guerillas in our galaxy) I respect you man, but this is ridiculous. Also, shields on X-Wings were introduced in X-Wing computer game? In ANH Tie Fighters have no problem shooting down X and Y Wings during the battle of Yavin IV. R2 wasn't shielded when got hit? But, that leads to new question: hyperdrive, shields, proton torpedos on Rebel Fighters, vs crude metal Imperial Tie-Fighter? In the immortal worlds of Joker: Where did they get these toys? (kidding -if the answer is like on top of my post -I don't want to know)
  15. Luke and training: I didn't realise there were hyperdrives on X-Wing Fighters? Tie Fighters for sure didn't have them ("small range for a craft like that, must've come from a convoy"). I have another one! How much did Han pay the Barkeep for the mess he was sorry for (meanng dead Greedo). Looked like just one coin...
  16. "it was over a month" "it was more than a few weeks" Hold on a moment, I think we all now the movie quite well: Luke got off Hoth about the same time as Millenium Falcon. Luke got to Dagobah promptly, and Falcon was trying to avoid Star Destroyers, went to asteroid field. As soon as they landed was a mynock episode so they took of. "my lord, we found them" should be right after their escape from the asteroid cave, ok could be a day or two later but that's thin. How long could they hang on the Destroyer waiting for the thrash? max a day or two. From the trash to Bespin shouldn't be longer then Lukes Hoth-Dagobah trip, so it doesn't count. On Bespin they showered and went for dinner with Lando (and Vader). Right after dinner Vader was torturing Han, what Luke felt right away (or even before: "it is the future you see"). So it boils down to a week, max 2 weeks of training. There were no showers on Falcon, how could the crew survive a month onboard with the wookie? And C3PO's constant chatter? I know Vader was toying with Luke, but got hit on the right arm (could be fatal), and kicked of a ramp, which got him mad. Luke was good, and I say after max 10 days of training. Bu as the OP wrote -this might be a question I never get the answer for
  17. as far as I know, its the only full leather coat, without any metal ornaments. Very cool looking
  18. How did Luke learn so much from Yoda in a week or so, that he could hold his own against Vader? It was all during Han, Leia, Chewie and The Droids's escape from Hoth to Bespin, so could't take long? I know he is special but c'mon, Jedi training took years in Old Republic. Maybe Yoda was that great as a teacher, but in that case -how many student's he's had for those 900years? (say two weeks for one from zero to hero
  19. Yeah, finally, but had troubles. Had to level up, and he still beat me couple of times. So now I kinda believe it was possible
  20. As smugglers we need green and yellow matrix shards in the middle levels. Now I'm on a French server (my mistake starting the game months ago), and can't change now. Therefore I couldn't get anyone to help me on Taris (green matrix that needs two people). They didn't approve of me talking basic instead of French, as if I was an American, while it's obvious I'm Correlian Yellow on Nar Shaddaa also isn't easy, since its lev 30 area, and you need the shard around lev 24. But getting to Cerrelia was a challenge. I was lev 29, and had to sneak into the starship museum (first had to get the MGGS from more experienced Sith Warrior sister). Running through the streets of war-torn Correlia being level 29 was a thrill, but that wasn't so hard. Good adventure if you want something different but not very difficult. Unlike Belsavis. I got the rakata cubes from SW sister, but going through almost all Belsavis is a thriller. It's like the nine circles of hell: low security area, hi security area, then max security area(stay on the road!) all this while the weakest mob (degenerates, convicts and such) can kill you in less than a minute. And knowing that there are The Scar and The Tomb ahead! Belive me, I was sweating. Sneaking past Esh-ka in the temple... I wish gunslinger had some camouflage abillity. Got killed several times, but got the shard, made the cube which (what a let down) after all these adventures increased my Gunslinger base damage by like 10 points. And not long after, the codex spoiled my end of chapter one surprise Anyway, try this if you haven't. Its fun.
