  1. agreed, without new classes/advanced classes since release dumbing down, taking away abilities of existing old classes is something terrbile which will make all classes too simillar, easier, not interesting and monotonous. Guardian without reflect is same sentinel but without two lightsabers. No one asked for ability removal, people prefer variety and different possibiltiies. I won't play mobile swtor with limited number of abilities i must choose from a small list
  2. Agreed, they must not cut the number of abilities since swtor has no new classes for ages, and variety of abilities/utilies brings variety to the whole game. If they take even 1-2 abilities away it will result in much easier gameplay which will definitely lead to more boredom and monotony. I fully disagree with need of removing abilities
  3. you need to start reading titles of threads and text itself. He doesn't say devs don't have resources, he states that they waste them in wrong direction. Instead of useless ability swap system they could do something more useful and interesting
  4. YEAH when it comes killing operatives you need it. But the problem is that net kills everything. Pts, marauders, sages, juggernauts. It literally paralyzes any victim. I guess net's duration must be reduced if not removed at all because now i see noobs mercs winning just because of reflect and net. They dont need any skill to play, they just use net after stun or after breaker while saving themselves with reflect. Jesus the most dumb class in the game, i saw so many unskilled mercs winning in ranked, unranked just because of overpowered electro net
  5. When it comes to announcing changes which will come after more than one year, you can expect never to see it. "something better than cross server queue" was promised long ago, and players still can't understand what it is. This game can't wait to 2022, why not make it with BIG expansion, considering that it is "BIG". If such serious things like new advanced classes, pvp revamp, graphic changes, new quest systems aren't coming with BIG expansion, i can't imagine when it will come then. There is literally no time for such enormous changes as BIG EXPANSION. Iam sure after autumn expansion bioware will forget about swtor for another year or two same as they did in the past
  6. If this was the case, they would tell us why they are doing it. But they introduced combat styles just for story mode and thats why on stream they talked only about story mode when explaining new combat system. I agree with you that combat styles unties their hands with creating new classes/advanced specs but knowing bioware i doubt they see full potential of their own actions. More like they will provide combat styles and then do NOTHING for another year. You can expect from them only straightforward, short-termed actions without any long-term planning. There are many examples of how they ignore potential of things they provided before - darkside/lightside competition, Illum pvp zone which were removed because game's core could not handle it, uprisings which were provided and then forgotten. You overestimate their planning....
  7. Yeah watching lifewarden being used by mercenaries and sorcerers which are best classes at surviving in pvp is like watching a fat rich and wealthy guy stealing food from homeless
  8. SO you increase punishment for people to decline/skip pops for ranked yet background audio option ISN'T WORKING. So when i was in queue and doing my things on windows desktop and when my character gets a pop I DON'T HEAR IT SINCE IAM AT DESKTOP.   9. It's not about player's quantity. Same players who enjoyed playing team ranked now switched to either solo ranked or unranked. Even if swtor had same amount of players as wow, no one would still be playing team ranked. All because current quest system is too hard to be completed. New players don't want to learn to play while top players stomping them, and the only way to incentivize players to engage into it is providing a decent and adequate quest system which would reward players for adequate number of defeats. If system requries new players to win only in order to get quests done then players will just ignore it because they can't win at first stages of learning. Meanwhile they don't want to spend their time for an activity which doesn't grant any rewards.
  10. Indeed, dev's policy regarding reward system causes questions. Skill cap is too high in ranked, there are mostly no "decent teams" in queue. Either matfarmers, wintraders or top players. With this making "win only" quests is same as put devs in conditions where in order to get their month salary they must win a hand-to-hand combat against Muay Thai world champions. Note! They must win only against world champions, not just participate I bet under such condition they would try to cheat too. E.g. pay few champions to lose on purpose in round 1 :D Without joking now, current system is bad....queue is almost dead 24/7, in pvp discords as OP said few guilds are often caught wintrading and cheating to get mats, legit teams have little chances to get any pops....this is the worst ranked system we ever had in this game. Definitely it has to go and we should return old quests. It is important to notince that same thing applies to unranked. The current win system often punishes decent players who are losing too often because of premades in enemy team which are stomping everything they see and winning the match easily. However, in unranked it doesn't feel as bad as in ranked because sooner or later solo players are getting pops against non-premade teams and win their matches (at least in unranked much more players are engaged which results in variety of matches with different players).
  11. Unranked doesn't require any efforts to increase the population of players. It's the most active content at the moment. On the other side, team and solo ranked require it much more.
  12. Read again how it works. GS always provides a variety of activities you to chose...if you dislike ranked then do other objectives lol. Those who enjoy ranked over killing bugs will be happy which results in increase activity in ranked whereas you can continue to slaughter insects
  13. Thats nice you revealed this, personally i stopped reading developer tracker long because they either post there irrelevant information or aren't posting there anything for a long time. Watching on situation NOW, i definitely must point out that certain types of content lack of incentives (rewards) to draw players in playing it. Team ranked quests requires win only draw players away, no proper rewards for solo ranked quests and being out from galactic season system also ruins player's interest, uprisings are totally dead because of zero proper rewards there. It is obvious that devs should start with adding these contents into GS and think about more rewarding policy for different types of content
  14. Exactly, Galactic season always provides few activties for players to choose, and if someone dislikes one of provided activities, he just chooses another one. There is literally no sense to restrict this list, the more varieties it has, the better. Ranked players will choose ranked, unranked will choose unranked, sometimes unranked players who got bored from unranked might choose ranked and vice versa. I think that this GS must have all types of existing content included to the list, not GSF, killing bugs on Ossus and unranked.
  15. I tend to agree with adding both solo and team ranked to a battle pass activities. You can't hope that players will play certain content if you nerf its rewards (example with changing mats quests) or excluding it from reward systems (I mean galactic season). Of course it must require WINNING the match so a player could get galactic season points. By the way, don't forget that galactic season activities are ALWAYS FEW if you dislike ranked then chose another activity, if you dislike galactic starfighter - chose another activity. I don't see any reasons in restricting the list of possible activities for galactic season, in my opinion it must have all kinds of acitivities which are chosen randomly every week (uprisings, HM operations, flashpoints, Illum event, raghhoul event etc). Players must have an opportunity to chose what they want to do every week among list of all types of possible content. That looks dumb and unfair when players who prefer ranked forced to play unranked or kill bugs for geting season points. Also, as OP mentioned solo ranked is already full of bad players who just queue it for fun or due to boredom. Nothing will change in quality of matches but the quantity will rise. Iam also tired to sit in queue for 20 min waiting when 8 players will finally queue, and even when i get the pop i see bad players in both teams. It's just ranked activity in solo ranked must require WIN only for getting galactic points loses should not provide anything
  16. I agree, also noticed that skedaddle (evesaion screen on operative) utility works badly lately. It doesn't cleanse all things it supposed to cleanse in pvp. This must be investigated and fixed fast
  17. For some reasons snipers and sorcs can put their phase walk spot up in the safe zone on rishi cove arena where no one can reach them. It means that sniper or sorc can use teleport ability to a safe zone and become untouchable for a big amount of time right in the middle of the fight!!! this should not be possible to put phase walk spots in safe zones on ranked arenas. This bugg abuse was noticed with the safe zone which is opposite to waterfall and under some trees. This is a terrible bugg which gives a huge advantage to those who can use abilities like phase walk! *under safe zone i mean the spot with quest terminals, where everyone appears at start before the fight starts!
  18. Sorry but the stability isn't allowing to provide such changes. Players are often kicked to server list during the match not because of their lsp but because of your cheap, weak and broken servers. 20 min lockout due to problems from your side is enough to delete swtor from PC and switch to shadowlands
  19. The issue with vote kick is complicated because some of the players deserve to be kicked while others are being kicked for no reason. As for me devs should punish those who abuse vote kick instead of removing it. People aren't removing knives because someone using them to harm someone, they catching those who are using knives for commiting crimes. And vote kick removal doesn't fix the fact that devs are tending to bann or block players who didn't breach any rules but aren't good enough. I know one operative healer who wasn't really good in ranked but received a bann just due to mass reports from so called "ranked elitists". Just as OP mentioned with his screenshots

I was a victim of a vote kick abuse in ranked which occurred few weeks ago while i was doing my best and did great stats i was vote kicked by some ranked elitists who thought i didn't do enough. I reported them with numerous screenshots and recordings yet nothing was done with it. On the other side, i know about facts of people being banned or locked just because of being "bad" or pissing of those ranked elitists the OP mentioned. Something stinks in ranked and iam not planning to watch these abuses or become their victim. Gladly BFA is coming soon.
  21. Allow all classes to use tattoos (e.g. Scoundrel can't have tattoos at the moment). Allow us to buy tattoos from CM so we could consume them and have as an option in character creator so our newly created characters could have tattoos from the start of our saga
  22. Yes, the majority of space barbie lovers is an issue in terms of developing end game content. But what i meant is that pvp community here is starting to degrade. At first patches we had healthy and competetive pvp, then we had wintrading in solo ranked and people crying about how bad is when team ranked has rewards to incentives players to play it and now we discuss things in a thread related to full removal of solo ranked (and this is not the only one thread). Pvp in this game is falling deeper and deeper with each patch despite the fact of few minor good changes like minimum 306 gear restriction.
  23. You mean the same "paid" team which fixed broken vents on mandalore arena only after 5 months since it appeared? Or same paid team which fixed jugg's warmonger for 3 months? And we still have instant death from using phase walk on corellia square, using force leaps on mandalore arena, geting under textures on tatooine canyon and makeb mesa, OP's phantom stride issue which isn't fixed for years. I am starting to thinks that team doesn't get paid
  24. Iam not sure it is Dsync matter. He talks about phantom stride/holotraverse pushing players in >300 metres ahead instead of teleporting them near the target. More looks like a specific problem on metrics of a certain ability than overall dsync issue. It is hard to understand why is it too hard to fix an ability which pushes players farther without any limits instead of pushing them to their target only. More looks like incompetence and laziness from bw
  25. Removing vote kick was a bad idea. Afk players, throwers and wintraders are ruining the game and nothing can be done now....you should keep vote kick function as it is
