  1. What are you dropping to get it? I have one point to play with which i usually just drop in Tenacious Defense, but i cant see dropping any other talent Worth an ability that only works against direct tech and force damage (not smash, deathfield, etc. etc.)

  5. Have you ever seen a Merc healer go against any double ranged comp that can interrupt efficiently? The Merc is still tethered Hard casts. While you can make the argument about Interrupt immunity on Shield and after using Instant cast, That time becomes negligible When you factor in Chain mezz. The gap is smaller, but moderately larger then most think. Also, If BW fixes Sorc Healers Resource management. You could quickly see Sorc's healing in 4s no problem.
  6. TK offers more burst, balance offers sustained.. TK offers more utility, IE bubble stun, knock back root, shorter CD on barrier. Balance only really offers heals from dots, which is meh as utility goes. But balance offers mobility. Comando on the other hand is a completely different story. Gunnery offers burst, and a much wider range of utility then assault can offer. You will put out higher numbers as assault but only due to DoT damage. Gunnery will provide an immense amount of burst, lots of utility and 2 separate ways to become immune to interrupts. I prefer Gunnery over assault for pvp 10 to 1.. However i prefer TK over balance, because balance is just FI > dot > dot > TT > dot. over.... and.... over... again.
  7. Most classes can hit 95% with one accuracy piece. which should only lose you roughly 1% of surge. I always use the ear piece as my accuracy/power item. power/surge everywhere else except belt/bracer, where i put 52 crit mods instead of power. For pvp, I feel like the above is the best way to gear any class that deals primarily in white damage.. and dropping accuracy for the 2 classes that deal in only tech.
  8. go make an actual petition, on a website. start passing it around and get people to sign it. make it as public as possible, get a large ammount of signatures from as many of the players from each server as possible. INCLUDING pve'ers who dont care about pvp. Do all of this, and you might get a Dev response.

During the double WZ patch i've managed to gear the following: Brutalizer Operative(Min/Max) Brutalizer Mercenary(Min/Max} Sniper - Brutalizer - MH/OH, earpiece, 2x implants - Obroan(Min/Max) Obroan powertech(Min/Max) Obroan Juggernaut(Min/Max Tank & Dps) Obroan Marauder(Min/Max) Obroan Assasin(Min/Max) Obroan Sorcerer(Min/Max) Did this by just completing dailies and weeklies on each toon here and there. Also, all toons were in partisan gear with the exception of my operative, sniper, and Mercenary(favorite toons ). I would actually LOVE for a "starter" set to come back out kind of like recruit, but a little better(partisan would be a decent option). Reason being is i get tired of fresh 55's hitting ranked thinking they will gear out quicker even if its a loss. Another alternative would be to allow Sub 55 characters to buy the gear and not allow them to wear it. This would eliminate players from having to stack light sabers to sell back when they hit 55. But overall your solution to gearing quickly is a wash at best. I'm all for PVP'ers not showing up to a warzone with total crap gear, but not in a pay 2 win fashion. and you're partially right, gear isnt that big of a factor, the REAL factor is augments, which Separates a fresh 55 at 27-28k from an obroan/augments 31-32k. here's how much it'll cost you(roughly) to augment: 14 augment kits at 55k + 35k install = 90k a kit = 1,260,000 14 augments at 70-80k = 980,000 Also you have to factor in shells, because who uses the basic PVP shell? The 7 armor shells: 176,000 MH/OH Shells: 72,000 Thats Roughly in the area of 2.5 million credits per character to equip with augments. Granted you can be a crafter and craft all this in time, or grind the credits in time. But adding pvp gear to the CC will only then have players demanding the above added to CC market, thus eliminating a "grind" all together(which is what they want you to do). It also murders the economy, which is also bad. The grind is fairly easy these days.. between the 2 weeklies and 3 dailies, you can buy gear like crazy. Obroan can be achieved in a week, even without the WZ dbl comms, if you just complete your dailies/weeklies. for the toons i care less about, i turn the ranked comms into reg comms, just to finish faster. and full min/max obroan isnt that far behind brutalizer. Someone will probably have numbers for that. /rant Disclaimer: Don't bash the numbers, they're only a rough estimate.
  10. Except if you want the 30s stun, you have to forego either 6% cunning, revitalizers, ot advanced cloaking.. hrmmmmmmmm
  11. I know of about 5 to 6 people on pot5 that made multiple million credits to get their season 1 rewards. So this is literally no different. BW just deletes threads, but it doesnt stop people from posting IG of their needs.
  12. MM is down right dirty in PVP - you may be playing incorrectly but the burst is unbelievable. Also i'd like to add a suggestion, give SoS a 70% slow like railshot while it channels. It would give us a chance to keep people in our AoE's just a little longer
  13. I dont think anyone has pointed this out yet, so i'll go ahead and address it.. You left out the primary ability for this class, which is explosive probe. why? IP > PP > EP > LS > SoS - incredible burst. Which you can follow with ambush, instant crit snipe, frag grenade Because well, why not?!? The only thing overload shot is EVER used for is re-positioning imo. you have 4 free overload shots that you can use while running around. so why not use them in between whichever AoE you may want to use while running.
  14. DPS assasins are now the 2nd highest parsing class in game, only behind wallbang snipers. And wallbang is situational at best. I have no clue how high endurance would work for lethality, but i honestly dont think lethality should even be in arenas. While it has alot more useful DCDs it has so much ramp up time it can be a pain to actually get that burst off. But if you really wanna try high endurance change the mods before you decide to lose the stim, the loss on 7 high endurance mods is 37 bonus damage, 27 bonus healing, and .18 critical rating.

  16. I havent spotted the animation, but i try to watch their buff bar. its a red icon that starts with 9 stacks.. try to mezz when you see that and wait for it to fall off.
  17. I still ranked pvp when i can, its far better then playing boring regs. Far more then most dps operatives on my server, i see more success but solo ranked is a pot luck of who you get as teammates over all. That being said, if ranked wasnt competitive, more people would Q for it. But yet way more people Q for regs, guess they dont want to be determined by a number. And i can tell you for a fact you'll find more use out of HP in solo ranked then you will a 30s hard stun. I just ran endurance stim for the lulz and still seeing 7-8ks go across the board, but yet when i get turned into focus im quite the trouble to kill. Survivability as a dps operative in ranked is far more Key then being able to CC. i lose next to no bonus damage, keep 24% before the added 6%. being over 1500 bonus damage is more then fine. you first called me trolling in the beginning of this thread, saying pls PLZ dont stack endurance mods, and asked if i was trolling. Yet you've probably never tried it. Their are plenty of players who have tried the same tactic with lots of success. Visit the top rated solo ranked player in sniper/slinger, he does the same thing. And yet again you call the class "sub par". Maybe thats my problem with you, you're the class rep that doesnt even have faith in his own class. We're just as good as assasins, and thats where ill lay this thread to rest. you bore me with your negativity
  18. So let me get this straight.. The OP of this thread is looking for what would work in RANKED gameplay, and you dont even play ranked. You play regs and only regs. I was around for the 8v8 days on pot5 when we had some of the best players and teams going at one time; ORW, hoth ski, aftermath, meowmix, casual, brutality, the list goes on and on. Im very familiar with the ranked scene and have been around for some time. But i tend not to care about the past so much as 4s and solo ranked is the only form of competitive play. so my one and only question is this.. How can you offer advice on ranked play, when you yourself Dont do it and dont even care for it. How do you know high endurance in arena play is worse then 15s off a stun you like to run? You're backing off of your high horse and more into a humble mode from previously where you were all "dont run high endurance hurr durr, 15s stun is all we're good for hurr durr" Stick to your guns at the very least. Edit: Good operatives will get taken into raids/pvp regardless if there is a equally good sin involved.. You come in here wanting people to play operatives, but say sins will always take priority. You sound rather confused on what you want to believe. Hax~
  19. Myself and DosX took it into 4s and went 3-1 with double concealment, only losing to a double tank cheese team. so how its not viable is beyond me.. Maybe you just dont know how to play it maybe? eh eh? edit: Also, on my server almost noone Que's 4s so...
  20. so far yeah. I may try the endurance stim however, just to see. Becayse when it comes to solo ranked, operative dps are one of the first targets to get focused all the time because we're squishy. Pushing yourself into a really high hp pool, while still doing moderately decent damage, while kiting them is always beneficial for your team. Majority of the games i have are 4 dps vs 4 dps, so 3 dps chase and try to kill me while the my team mates kill their target. It really comes down to who dies first.
  21. The top ranked sniper in Solo Q started doing this i believe to counter always being focus target. 36k HP full pvp geared sniper.
  22. Snave is part of the pitty party train for operatives. While we have been screwed over on many nerfs, people tend to get over dramatic about what an operative can actually do. Instead of learning how to play your class efficiently in any scenario, people come here to cry about why we're not viable in X or X situation. I've used my operative as dps in 4s and solo's with success.. I dont have high ratings anymore because bastion trolls are terribad for Solo Q. But yes it was a high handed remark. BTW about your stim question. Currently im at 1298.7 bonus damage outside of a WZ, and that bonus damage goes to 1356.1 when i use a proto-type skill stim.
  23. I know you fancy yourself a decent operative, but i think the whole being the rep has gone to your head. 30s stun is the only reason to bring an operative in to ranked? That in itself is a retarded statement. I havent finished going full endurance mods, but i currently have 3, sit at 34,700 HP in WZ's, 1520 bonus damage, 24.68 crit and 75% surge. dropping 6% overall cunning to pick up 15 seconds of debilitate seems like a larger loss.. Considering solo ranked all dps games dont last very long at all.. You have a solo ranked rating of 964, maybe you should give it a try yourself and see the difference.
  24. My Build: http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#4010cZGbdrdrkrGGRZh.3 if and when you're in a solo match. you're going to be focus target almost all of the time, so i pick up all things defensive. I've also started running the high endurance mods, im not done yet but i look to be around 36k HP once im finished. i still hit over 8k all the time on crits. and i've managed to pick up alot more HP. Seems worth it when im always the focus target.
  25. I tend not to consider Pyro and Annihilation as RNG. Reason being is they have 2 ways to push a Proc whereas Carnage and Lethality do not(i'll explain Lethality RNG in a second). Deception have a 30% proc chance but its on all direct damage attacks, it also has an on demand 100% proc rate from low slash or spike. So if a deception sin really wants the proc right away he can have it. I've literally never had a problem getting a rupture proc, or the Railshot proc from mercenary. Not in a way that getting a gore proc from massacre is at least. As far as a Marks sniper is concerned, thats pretty much correct. All though i've seen some people manage all the abilities properly and it flow smoothly as a set rotation. And your statement about Lethality makes me wonder if you've ever played the class. We have 4 ways to Generate TA's within combat: Hidden Strike Shiv Stim Boost Achieving a killing blow With that being said, once you're in a pro-longed fight the only TA you will ever generate is from Shiv. The RNG from the spec, is Shiv granting an extra Cull. While the spec is decent, It gets frustrating not getting that proc, and will force you to wait until the next shiv hoping you get it. I've been in fights and used shiv up to 3 times before seeing a proc. At least with gore, all you have to do is have the rage to spam massacre to get the proc. Shiv is set on a CD, so its a waiting game until next use.
