  1. I have to agree with the OP, this is just disgusting. For a limited time only and yet for a price which would take 4-5 months to save up for, at least, is an absolute disgrace. Yes there will be people who knee jerk and say 'well you don't have to buy them', and sure, you don't. But these are very obviously items that would work perfectly well in an event, but instead you're being forced to either fork out alot of real money to get them, or pay the extreamly high premium they will be on the GTN. They could have made a fun, interactive event out of these, and had them on the market for those who would rather buy them, but instead its cash only. Personally I've never seen something this disgusting in a holiday 'event' in an MMO before. But I guess this should have been forseeable, this is basically the company who does the Sims 3 store.
  2. Casual raiding guild Beyond Comprehension has cleared TFB HM. Server: The Red Eclipse EU (GB) Date & TImes: The Writhing Horror:- 26/09/2012 - 19:43 BST (18:43 GMT). http://i45.tinypic.com/2r478mp.jpg The Dread Guard:- 26/09/2012 - 20:24 BST (19:24 GMT). http://i46.tinypic.com/21kgn01.jpg Operator IX:- 27/09/2012 - 22:25 BST (21:25 GMT) http://i46.tinypic.com/2zf642h.jpg Kephiss the Undying:- 30/09/2012 - 21:06 BST (20:06 GMT). 3. Hey guys, These are by one of our guild members who has a surprising talent for in-game screenshots and I decided to share it with the community. I had no idea where to post this though so I hope this is the right place. http://i617.photobucket.com/albums/tt251/Zweijsters/Gharj.jpg http://i617.photobucket.com/albums/tt251/Zweijsters/Denova-1.jpg http://i617.photobucket.com/albums/tt251/Zweijsters/SCenery.jpg http://i617.photobucket.com/albums/tt251/Zweijsters/Dathat2.jpg Thought it would be nice if others would share theirs as well. Enjoy! And apologies if something along these lines was already posted... couldn't find it
  4. Bioware got one of my alts names wrong: http://tinypic.com/r/1zwccr4/6
  5. That's a shame... Gunguns would make pvp just that little bit more enjoyable.
  6. Not happy about this tbh, I've had 'Miyo' for years and years of MMO gaming over many different games. I got on my assigned server as soon as I could, was one of the first few waves and was able to save this name. It's my 'main' and I play her reguarly, to have it 'stolen' by an unused alt, or an inactive subber is annoying to say the least. I'm not an RP'er, im just attached to my gamer tag as are alot of people.
  7. Alot of people I know who have rerolled, including myself, have done it to have fun at the moment regardless of what destination servers our 'mains' will have. And since 80% of the PvP games happening on the server I have rerolled to are under 50's I think the majority of people are doing the same
  8. There is no name changing service and afaik there has been no mention of one of these forums. Deleting is your only hope :<
  9. Probably firing people in a different role to the people they have poached? Not every programmer works on the same bits, or maybe they need less designers since the major graphical items are finished now, who knows except BW & EA! I welcome it tbh, means they haven't written off SWTOR, especially since the DA franchise is worth alot of money so postponing it's release shows commitment to SWTOR imho.
  10. - New operation & Nightmare mode for EC - New Warzone (Huttball with a diff map! Love that wz ) - New PvP 'idle' zone on the imperial fleet where you can duel, with all the venders there etc: Or! move the hub to a planet! - Animal mounts. I think we saw more animal mounts in the movies than vehicle, sad they weren't in release :< - Mini game of some sort, maybe pod racing. - Another legacy option of 'apprentice' and 'master'. I.e. The option to make one of your sith and apprentice to the other Those are what I really want to see in 1.4.
  11. For the DA3 team working on SWTOR: http://gamerant.com/dragon-age-3-delayed-the-old-republic-cj-147982/
  12. This would be a brilliant idea. Queue for it like warzones, mod your pod with rewards, have rankings. Would be awesome tbh
  13. I thought there was meant to be a Q&A thing regarding 1.3 scheduled for today :<
  14. They should do like a separate bit, with all the PvP venders and quest consoles and an 'arena' where you could duel. Sort of the 'stormwind gates' of the Imperial Fleet
  15. Basically instead of spending crap loads of mats trying to make that one lucky augmented piece of gear, you can make an ordinary piece of gear and sell that for something. Means less money on single sales but overall you will be making roughly the same for less wasted mats.
  16. I don't remember any member of the empire writing private little messages to rebel scum. What they said they said face to face, aka say!
  17. Imho the population issue at the moment is caused by three things; 1) The pulling of ranked warzones in 1.2 caused alot of my server's players to quit the game, some vowing to come back when it's implimented. This game does not have enough endgame PVE (Operation) content to grow hardcore raiding guilds, so most players PvP so when ranked warzones and the ability to queue as 8 were pulled, people kinda got fed up. 2) Following the mass exodus of most of the decent PvP players in the game PvP became less frequent, and less enjoyable. There were minimal people you recognised in warzones, and most people were fresh 50's which made it frustrating. This lead people to try the GW:2 Beta weekend, and play Tera (I know of quite a number of our 'old' PvPers who left to play Tera, I even tried it... its terribad but meh ). 3) The final nail in the coffin is D3. From the Friday before it was released the servers died and are still dead. People are getting bored with it and are coming back but they come back to dead servers so don't stay online. I know I would stay online if I could actually do something but my server (Luka Sene) is just barren. Overall the population issue was made desperate by the false promise of ranked warzones in 1.2. I saw so many PvPers come back to the game for 1.2, so many guilds were scrabbling together PvP teams. The servers were booming. But a week after it was released they all left again, due to the absense of ranked warzones. Imho when server transfers (though server merges would be a million times better) come through this game will thrive. People will forgive slower content releases if they can actually still play existing content. It's the community that makes MMO's great, SWTOR is by far miles better than WoW at release, and tbh WoW now, but WoW has the community. Countless hours I spent on wow flying around Stormwind chatting to people because the game itself was boring, SWTOR is the opposite, the game is fun but the community isn't there. To fix this BW need first to get these server transfers right. Then finally release ranked warzones and operations that have more than 4 easy bosses. Competition will make people play if hardcore PvP'ers and Raiders exist, everything at the moment is too casual for competition to thrive, so why would people play to be the best if there is no one to beat.
  18. Server merges Better endgame content (ranked warzones and/or longer / harder operations)
  19. I played and loved NWN, Baulders gate, DA:O and ME:1 & 2. I played and hated DA:2 & ME:3 (forced multiplayer and the 'pick your colour' ending). SWTOR aside, i'm very dubious in my faith in Bioware now, I don't think i'll blindly buy one of their titles assuming it'll be of the same calibre of it's predecessors again. It's their own fault, they made outstanding games in the past and it's hard to live up to their former titles. If it was any other game company ME:3 and DA:2 might have looked like decent standalone games.
  20. Personally, after the annoucenment of the 'update' 1.3, i'm almost ready to unsub. The only thing keeping me subbed at this point is the possibility of moving to a server that's not dead. Our raid team cleared everything a month ago now and we're by no means hardcore so with nightmare mode no where to be seen PVE endgame content for us is basically now dead. We clear HM Denova in a maximum of 3 hrs if we happen to wipe regularly for whatever reason, 3hrs of PVE content is terrible, no wonder hardcore SWTOR guilds don't exist. The only other thing I enjoy doing is PvP, but with the release of D3 that's virtually impossible except for a small 1-2hr window every other day, and since there was no mention of cross-server PvP in the IGN interview I see no hope in sight. I waited for this game for years, it's a very very solid game. But the half-arsed updates, the lack of feedback from the dev team (I would imagine the majority of us would rather you talk about something and push the date back than not talk about it at all except in vague twitter posts), and the desperate situation of server populations makes me want to unsub. If I wasn't a guildmaster I would of probably thrown in the towel already like so many of our raiders already have.
  21. My guild (a casual raiding guild) killed hardmode Kephess on the 22nd of April. Since the wording of the latest IGN interview seems to indicate nightmare mode isn't coming in 1.3, we're expected to raid four bosses (ridiculously small number of bosses anyway) for another 2-3 months? We're already fully geared... This is a complete joke :/
