  1. oh yes, SM is tooo easy, HM - boring, NiM.... with my timezone hard to get a group lol... so i've decided to do some pvp until they decide to make a raid lol... or a new game >.> lol, it seems the secret world will take a LOT of time to download.... if i even manage to play it solo that is, that was after all why i didn't manage to go on with ESO or WoW
  2. lol hon, but that will make it too hard for them newbies though damn i do miss blowing people up in dread fortress >.>:D:D
  3. do i have to sub to it? and are the nasty zombies always gonna be there? cause ewwwww ZOMBIES!!
  4. eeee didn't you at least read the notes from the stream? 0.o command crates are still earned from GCranks, and they're still random, BUT every crate drops a command token. in PvE: unassembled token (UT) from ops boss + command token from crates = 1 piece of set bonus gear depending what was your UT in PvP: you get fragments of UT based on win / loss and amount of medals in each ranked or unranked warzone. X amount of UT fragments = 1 UT (here it is my understanding you get to pick which piece you want) 1 UT + command tokem = 1 piece of set bonus gear. 230 set piece will then have to be upgraded the same way as it was before. i believe there are also some valor requirements, but i'm not sure what they are exactly. for solo players: you are welcome to continue playing the SWTOR casino grind or join in on PvE and PvP fun for faster gear lol
  5. well hei, first time for everything. for me - first time i was called a white knight  ./shudder that aside, i can see how that might suck for your guild and indeed a lot of guilds and players out there. BUT: that has always existed, gearing method aside, there were always people who could get full sets of gear in a week and those who got left in the dust steaming and biting their nails. the sentence "Already the more casual are falling behind and its getting worse." is not really accurate. it's not the more casual really, it's the LESS LUCKY lol. some people can get half a set out of 7 boxes, others will get 1-2 pieces out of 50, and that is exactly the issue we've been arguing about since the day 5.0 dropped. and yes i've seen a lot of bring back unassembled tokens to the ops and i'd love to see that happen. HOWEVER, since there is no expertise now, we have the same gear for PvE and PvP. that means, that the rate people gear at should be roughly the same. And ON TOP of that, we have casual solo players and newbies, there's a lot of those guys lol, and they don't necessarily even do ops or pvp, so it's them that this whole change was aimed at (or at least that's what Aowin has been maintaining for the last 130 pages of his thread, and i can't really see any other reason for this change, outside of them being busy / lazy to do more content for us to grind through lol) But, i can't believe i'm saying this, cause 4.0 was the only expansion i actually got a set of full BiS gear, let alone 2, it was WAY TOO FAST. the fact that KP and EV were in rotation of the highlighted priority ops, made the gearing ridiculously easy. so no, i don't think reverting to 4.0 is a good idea or an idea they will go with lol
  6. how is this return of 4.0 though??? unassembled tokens drop 100% only on last bosses in raids, and that's 1 token per op rolled between 8 people 0.o.... and as for pvp fragments, we don't know what the exchange ratio is gonna look like
  7. hei it took me 44 boxes to get a single upgrade lol and then i got second set piece at box #48, so i'm really annoyed (than again, i'm in full BiS 224s for both my healing and my DPS set, so green and blue crap doesn't count as an upgrade lol). RNG gearing should just be scrapped from ANY game.... but... are they really going to rollback the entire system they JUST came out with? naaah i don't think so. so i'm not expecting it. and yes a lot of people are making sense, when i consider that i'd still be playing the RNG game against my ops team... i'm happy i kept the shells of my set pieces so i can pvp a lot (even though i do suck at it quite a lot) and upgrade them as soon as possible when 5.1 comes out hehe x.x will certainly be faster than grinding 50+ more levels lol. it's just i'll admit i'm tired of the raids we have, they're all 2-5 year old content and honestly i'd rather pvp with a few guildies than pug ops again... until they actually make a new raid lol. cause you can only roll through the same content so many times before you eventually get bored lol. i suppose that's why i'm not trying to poke them with a pitchfork for only giving us a chance at gear from bosses before the last one lol. :D... or maybe it's the pain meds >.>
  8. dude, it's 130 page long thread, read it =) lol maybe u'll find out:D:D but no, it's his honest opinion :D
  9. lol mental support is always appreciated =) just Ben stated on the stream that they're watching and i figured we could help him by providing data hehe :D hope you're enjoying ur popcorn though
  10. should i go find some quotes about how people object more to lack of no new content to go along with the grind and gear depending on RNG, not the concept of Galactic Command? i believe i've read some over the last week or 2 >.>
  11. and i want a chance to romance lord scourge on my jedi knight or have the character's race influencing their class stories and how they're seen through the story. that is not likely to happen either though that is true i suppose... or maybe like a lot of people have realized by now you just don't have to expect too much out them lol well. i was hoping i'd be able to build my stronghold from scratch. like in sims :D well.. then.... unsub and go play somehting else? You wait weeks to get ONE piece and then it is not even remotely optimized. Screw them. At least that could have dropped optimized gear if it was RNG. no one is stopping you from getting crafted gear or keeping old enhancements if they work better for you really. check my forum history since 5.0 dropped and you'll see i'm not a white knight if that's what you are thinking, but seriously, they ARE trying. so let them try before you blow up lol.
  12. a system of just selling gear for credits certainly won't work. why? 1) if price is to high it will take a lot of people too long to be able to afford it; 2) it will put crafters out of business; 3) it will give more business to all those credit sellers lol 4) different people enjoy different parts of the game. my guildie has 189mil. i managed to save up 10 mil between 40 toons over almost 5 years. there's enough credit sinks in this game as it is.
  13. if they all drop a piece that will kinda defeat the point of making a new system, which they won't do anytime soon lol. :D maybe drop more than 1 token, but really, they give an inch and you want a mile instantly. seriously, be a bit more patient. it won't hurt any :D i for one am definitely happy they're willing to adjust the system in the first place and am very happy these tokens will be legacy wide
  14. you know a LOT of people were making suggestions on how to fix the system right? and in fact more than one person has come up with ideas very close to what they've decided to do. so yes they DID listen... just maybe they didn't listen to you.
  15. in which category do we even place them? 0.o i'm missing 4 G.C. ranks and 4 valor ranks =(
  16. eee i'll have to check lol, i totally forgot about htat horrible place, i've got some serious trauma in that op very much this^^
  17. and i tell you again, this is NOT entirely true for the entire community. a lot of people are just angry about the RNG. i was a bit pissed that there was no way to make the grind faster or mitigate bad RNG, cause force knows, RNG certainly hates me, but in my opinion they're giving us a way to still keep gearing up. you think 1 token guaranteed is too little? yes i think so too. am i gonna yell at them to scrap the entire system? no i won't. if i think raids are not rewarding enough, i'll go pvp instead. at least i won't depend completely on luck. do i hope they make some more steps forward such as having more than 1 token per raid? hell yes. do i hope they add token fragments as reward for flashpoints and uprisings and groupfinder reward? absolutely. but again, i'm not gonna behave like a rabid creature and demand complete surrender lol.:D
  18. ... oops >.> lol didn't even notice >.> thanks lol. it's just habit to think that there's 5 in every one of them x.x but seriously, as soon as the stream is out, and they are taking steps towards us people start wailing for more. come on, let's at least wait and see what happens once 5.1 comes out:eek:
  19. well 1 token per op is a bit too little, considering S&V for example has 7 bosses... but this way they're making sure people actually finish the raids they do instead of just winning the piece they wanted and dropping out after that. i know it doesn't happen all that much, but it happen. :D let's not criticize the gift we're getting, okay?? i mean, let's at least wait until 5.1 drops and we can test it out.... and then we can start whining again lol.:D it might not be enough, i'll agree, but really, it's a good place to start :D give them a break, it was nice of them to reach out and try to fix the mess they created
  20. eee you might want to count exactly how many people post those 1000+ posts, you know the community of these forums is really not that big lol. and mostly people ***** about RNG in gearing, not the cxp itself, it's actually not a bad system for those players that do not participate in raids or pvp. i will say though G.C. would be much better received if there was actually a good amount of new content to do / explore to go along with it =) but you never know. maybe they're planning something huge for the next expansion that will blow our mind away lol..... :D ..... ofc that might not be the case, but one thing for sure - sure there has to be a reason why they do the things they do lol.... now if i believe if it's a good reason i can't say, cause dunno what the reason is, but at the end of the day, the changes coming in 5.1 in january should really things much better... if they balance it right lol:D:D
  21. should we report this thing? 0.o since it is kinda an advertisement ? 0.o:eek:
  22. they're already working on adjustments for the system coming in patch 5.1 in end of january =) i believe you can find the notes about yesterday's stream here: http://dulfy.net/2016/12/15/swtor-december-15-producers-livestream/
  23. lol no, one thing will work: for them to play a single player game instead or if they want to solo an MMO, then RP is also a valid end-game part and doesn't require you to do content >.> i mean, swtor is my first, if i could learn how to join in and integrate into the community, then it's certainly not impossible lol:D:D
  24. Certainly, I am not saying people need to be forced to do content just to get gear. However with what we will have come january, they don't need to force themselves. the current grind of CXP will remain just as it is now. they can still farm boxes for gear. what i meant was if people wanted to join in on ops or pvp it's certainly not all that hard, we all began at some point and i don't recall it being all that hard. ofc ops were easier to get into and with how dumbed down SM ops are atm it won't be a challenge for anyone provided they got a braincell lol :D:D honestly imo the best way to go about integrating newbies and casuals into the game would be a type of mentor-system. kinda like the RAF in WoW. where the vets get rewards for tutoring players, such as dunno... some extra CC, or some vanity stuff or wutever. what do you think would work well for this inclusion thingie?
  25. hei hei the I in that sentence was copy-pasted from your post lol. i didn't imply that u said that about ME lol. but i still don't get what's wrong with getting best reward for hardest content?? 0.o i also remember the first time i joined a pvp match at cap level. and how much it SUCKED compared to the lowbie pvp, where i could actually hold my own without having my face bashed in every 2 seconds simply because i just started playing pvp and my gear was crap lol. i don't say it'd be good if pvers would do better at pvp than pvpers themselves... at the same time, i think this distinction between PvPer and PvEr is also... a bit... useless. it's all content lol. especially now that there is no separate pvp and pve gear hehe eeee my sage is at valor 69 and my sorc is in the 50ies. i can't say i'm much good, best i can hope for is average mediocrity lol. but that doesn't mean i don't pvp lol. the why i don't pvp more is because i don't like solo-pvping, when i have someone to chat with on TS while we pvp together is a whole different matter. it's very fun that way.... unless of course my gear is so bad from pvp standpoint that it blasts all enjoyment out the window lol. yeah no, these changes are good. can be VERY good... if indeed they balance out the details well =) because let's see... last boss of every op has a piece of gear that will 100% drop. there might be other tokens along the way, but from what i understood it's only a CHANCE of them dropping. which means that 8 people have 1 guaranteed token between them. while in pvp each w/z gives you fragments (again depending on how many fragments are actually needed to get that unassembled token lol). i just hope they can balance it in a good way =)
